I have received the best Christmas present ever. Salt is doing much, much better. Nearly all of her health issues are miraculously resolving themselves. It looks like she's going to be around for awhile, and that means I get to spend more time with her. I couldn't be happier about this. Thank you all for the prayers.

Before, it was just speculation. Now, it is official. Salt is in her final days. She returned from her final oncology appointment today, with her oncologist telling me that he can't treat her anymore. Her problems are neurological, but the general anesthesia that is required for a MRI would kill her. Realistically, he wouldn't be able to treat her neurological problem, anyway. Furthermore, Salt has become anemic, due to a lack of eating. He recommended euthanizing her, but I have already decided to let God choose the moment of her final breath. Salt was sent home today with one mission only - to die. I hope that I can be by her side when it happens. Salt's oncologist said that she could not have asked for a better father. I will always remember those words. The next time that I report about Salt, it will be to announce her death.

Not to be a downer, but it sounds like 2017 will be the year that I am forced to give up my Intellivision collection, as attaining all of these new releases has become impossible.

On this day, one year ago, I drove over three hours to a farm in the Bloomsburg/Danville area, where a guy named Jesse placed a two-month-old Sheltie named Bitsy in my arms for the first time. On Christmas Day, her name would become Lassie. What a wonderful day this was, one year ago!

My fingerprints are on one of my carts... does that make it a rare variant? Nobody else in the world has a copy exactly like this.

My Super Pro Baseball kit has arrived. Thanks, Mark. Not to reopen a can of worms, but I still don't like (nor do I understand) why a new game has to be sold this way (in parts). I hope this isn't the wave of the future for new Intellivision releases, where you have to order the cart/shell, and then the trimmings, and then the box, just to have a CIB copy. Speaking of the box, has anyone ordered one from Hatman yet? I sent him a PM about it, but he has ignored me so far.
