I'm looking to cut back on my 2600 collection (mostly by getting rid of my multiple games), but I'm also looking to get rid of one of my 2600s, so no answers of "Keep both and get a heavy sixer!"

 

I didn't grow up playing Atari, so I don't have nostalgia for either models, just an appreciation of retro games/computers. Is there any advantage to either one, such as sound/picture, general reliability, or significant rarity? If not, I'll probably keep the Jr. model, just wanted to make sure.

I have always wondered why Nintendo made the cartridges have so much 'wasted space' inside. Now I know.

 

Really the entire design of the NES in North America was to make it look like a VCR and not like a video game console.

I was wondering if there was a ROM dump for the gameLive module on the Atari 2600. I think it'd be interesting to see how it communicates over the internet with it, it'd be cool if someone could moify it and build up a general purpose modem for the 2600 (the gamelive was hardcoded to dial into their own servers)
