  1. Took a gamble on a beautiful but untested CoCo1 on eBay for $40 shipped, and it paid off handsomely. Works perfectly, it's in great shape, displays artifact colors correctly (my other CoCo1 didn't), and has Extended Color BASIC.

      I don't usually go for untested hardware, especially from sellers who deal in gaming/computer stuff (I don't buy any claims of ignorance or having no way to test it), but this seller deals mostly in non-gaming related items, so it was plausible to me that he honestly didn't know how to test it. I've been wanting a nice CoCo1 for a while they rarely turn up for less than $60-70, even untested. Glad I pulled the trigger!

      He could've bought an RF adapter for like $3. But good score for you. I usually avoid "untested" items because 99% of the time it means it doesn't work but the seller wants to bank on your uncertainty.
