I'm glad these movies are so long. I'm always kind of sad when it's over because I like the world they have created, so a 700 hour movie is fine with me. I watch at home instead of sitting in a theater, so I can do other things while I watch.

You can't compare tehm. PS1 was a completely genre-redefining console (polygons/3D). DC was a visual improvement but still doesn't have as good a lineup of games as the PS1. It's not all about power.

Wii U may not be the obvious choice but of the good games it has, they're the best of their genre. They may only release a handful of must-have titles per year but I'm a father of two...'a handful' is more than I have time to play.

That's a big part of why I have no interest in those systems.. No compelling games. And the whole need for an paid online service thing.

The thing is: It's not like there's no games beside shooters for PS4 either. Great games are few, as they are on the WiiU, but they are there. Infamous 3 is very cool.Dragon Age 3 just came out. Assassins Creed. Resogun. Velocity 2X. Last of Us. Next year will see the release of Bloodborne, which will likely be when I finally buy. Topten, it's not gonna work that great. It requires a Wiimote which means you will have a cursor on the screen most likely (think House of the Dead 2/3 on the Wii). Maybe I'll be wrong and Nintendo gets creative with the controller implementation..

Apparently, the TV may be upconverting from 2D to 3D. I understand this does not make for true 3D, but it does seem to create at least the illusion of depth.

Most 3D TVs have the ability to create a 3D effect on 2D content.

It wouldn't surprise me. It probably happened for the same reason that "for all intensive purposes" happens: most people read relatively little, so they learn expressions and idioms as they hear them, and they don't always hear them correctly.

I agree, last of us felt overrated. Very cool, fun, but at this point having a truly cinematic experience as your leg to stand on makes for a bleh game.
