That's great news about the control! Please put me down for a cart! One more question...I was reading about the background music. Is there an option to turn it off?

Could you tell me if "dig left" is mapped to the left button and "dig right" the right button? That would of course make all the sense in the world, but I would like to know -- having to face in the direction you want to dig (as in Atari 8 bit) ruins the gameplay, especially at higher levels/speeds.

Another 7800 Game to update like Donkey Kong XM?
DoctorTom replied to swlovinist's topic in Atari 7800
I'm surprised more people don't want updates to classics with new levels and new play mechanics. We don't really need titles you can already play on NES, on Namco or Konami PS1 Collections, or on any emulator. -
Rayman Origins for PS3 is amazing, especially multiplayer. Definitely invest in Rayman Legends. If you don't like it, I'll buy it from you. Wii U is going to carry some excellent titles in the next year, you mentioned a few already. I personally believe Mario Kart 8 is going to be the best racer in recent memory -- a cross between WipEout on PS1 and Mario Kart on 3DS. It looks incredible, to boot. I'm sure DKC will be dynamite, as well. Plenty to look forward to.

Adventure Missile Command Yar's Revenge Asteroids Frogger Demon Attack If I had to pick one I played the absolute most all time, it might be Frogger, but it's hard to say for sure.

Yar's Revenge, with new game mechanics, 2P co-op, etc. Now THAT would be a sweet game. -
Circus Atari.

Upgade your SPINA THE BEE cart from Intelligentvision

Any chance a ROM could be released for purchase? I play Intelly only on a Wii emulator. I bought a ROM for D2K a few months ago... -
I hope everyone is enjoying this dynamite guide! When is the hardcover edition going to be available?

The keypad is mapped to the right joystick on the Classic controller or to the Nunchuk joystick, depending on which setup you prefer. It takes a few minutes to get the hang of it, but it actually ends up being far better than the keypad, as you can trigger stuff with just a flick of your thumb. Trust me, this is the way to play Intelly. Did I mention the gorgeous picture through component outs?

A Wii classic controller or a Wiimote plus nunchuk.

What to do is emulate your intelly games on a Wii or Ouya or something similar. I got fed up with the bad RF signal and horrible controllers, so that's exactly what I did. I am LOVING these games now, many of which I previously found annoying to unplayable.

Anyone who wants to offer on my brand new SGM is welcome to PM me. I have two.

I'd prefer time/effort be spent on programming some original games or unreleased titles, rather than another Galaga port. You did an upgraded Adventure with Chalice, how 'bout an upgraded Yar's, Demon Attack, Superman or something else from the 2600?
-
For those who cannot wait, I just posted my back-up unopened SGM for best offer in the Marketplace.

Yeah that's just what I want my kids to see when they walk by my office...I think it's already risque enough. She is a babe, though.

Is this a screen title only change, or were any other changes made?

Any chance I can redo my list? I forgot about Asteroids and just discovered how good Frostbite is. My new list: 1. Adventure 2. Missile Command 3. Yar's Revenge 4. Demon Attack 5. Frogger 6. Asteroids 7. Space Invaders 8. Superman 9. Frostbite 10. Circus Atari

The NEW High Score Club S2 ~ Week 10 ~ Frostbite (Game 1)
DoctorTom replied to Vocelli's topic in 2600 High Score Club
I also am superior at Frogger and personally, I think Frostbite is a great game -- a neat cross between Frogger and Q*Bert. I got another hour in today and improved my score a bit -- I'm close to a breakthrough but I just don't have enough time to improve substantially for this contest, as I started too late (yesterday) and have to head to work in an hour. I'm at the point where the game starts to get real fast, and I would need to invest a significant amount of time to take it to the next scoring level. Final submission = 87500 -

Thanks. I actually just chose the option to expand to the full editor. That was much easier. -
From the album: DoctorTom HSC Pics
Played about 20 games so far... -
