  1. Bill makes a good point -- the XB1 functionality is pretty impressive. Of particular note is the unique "snap" picture-in-picture feature that allows for multiple things to be going on at once (e.g., gaming and TV-watching). I remain concerned about the relative dearth of XB1 exclusives planned for the future, but Forza 5 is an amazing game. But tbh I'm still using the last gen consoles much more than any of the new gen systems.
  2. Bob, great to hear about the sounds. Really the game is excellent, and we appreciate your efforts as always!
  3. I am fortunate enough to have both, but for me it's an easy choice, as playing New Super Mario Bros. U and Super Mario 3D World with my kids have been more fun than anything else I've played this past year. It's not the same for you, as you are not big on Nintendo's first party titles (a position I cannot fully force my brain to consider ), so think long and hard before getting the Wii U. PS4 has much more potential and will also have its share of exclusives. But again, if Netflix is your primary concern, maybe just spending less makes more sense -- perhaps even by simply replacing your PS3...
  4. How about these sounds -- enemy explosion from Scramble, ship firing from Space Duel, and enemy firing plus your ship explosion from RipOff?
  5. Not to be a Debbie Downer but to my ears the ship firing sound is too muted/uninspiring, and the enemy firing sound is grating. Also, I'm assuming explosion sounds have yet to be added?
  6. I'm having more fun playing Super Mario 3D World with my kids than any game I have for PS4 or XB1. It's such a shame that the Wii U can't get any traction.

Wouldn't you much rather play FPS #27 on the PSXBox123? I hear it's slightly better than FPS #26.

I pretty much hate FPS. :)

  7. On the Wii emulator, the Star Force ROM freezes every time you fly over the very first small star fortress (or whatever you would call it ) -- so about two minutes into the game at most. The ROM is unplayable. Any chance on tweaking that one to get it working? The rest of the ROMs work just fine; several games are good to excellent. Thanks!
  8. So the game ends? It doesn't loop back? Bummer...
  9. It's the developer's attitude about it and lack of any sensible justification that rubs people the wrong way. As for me, I have no interest in owning a machine that I cannot repair when the joysticks break down, if I can even find one that works in the first place. And other than Venture, Koffi (ROM available), and Adventure II (ROM also available), there is little if anything I cannot find done as well or better on another system. I'll be content without this 5200 or 8 bit Venture; it's largely a copycat of the CV version anyway.
  10. I have possibly never disagreed more with a statement in my entire life than this one. The Wiimote, classic controller, and even the nunchuk is markedly preferable to the Intelly disc -- for ANY game.
  11. Bob, this is terrific! Can't wait to see the final version. I personally find Easy to be too easy, but I think it's good to have it as an option. I was wondering if you would consider a game variant that offered at least a mild challenge during the ship docking screen? Maybe having to dodge space debris, fight against gravity, and/or require you to be more precise to dock without losing a ship? Would be a neat addition... Also, the colors look dynamite on my plasma.
  12. I am considering selling one of mine, it's NIB. If anyone is interested, please PM me.
  13. Christmas Carol is oustanding, and I thank you for releasing the ROM to go along with the cart I already owned. I would love to see the full Space Patrol ROM released, as was promised; it is probably my favorite Intelly game. I did support the game on cart, as well, but I have a very quirky Intelly and am not very fond of the controllers, as everyone knows; I'd like to play it on the Wii emulator very much.
  14. There is no "x" in Christmas.

      There's no "Y" in Christmas.

(That doesn't mean anything, but it's true!)

Your right Doctor Tom. Its Christmas, NOT X-mas. Wish people would stop saying that.

  15. Sal, you still haven't provided any good reason as to why you are unwilling to release a ROM version. Take a look at Bob's titles on the 7800 -- in every case, he releases full ROM versions, even BEFORE they are available on cart (and for free)! This is also typical of 2600 titles and Atari 8 bit titles, as well as several INTV and CV homebrews. In this case, I am not asking you to release a free ROM, but rather one for purchase, as I do not own a 5200 and am not interested in getting one. Regarding concerns of piracy, each purchaser's information could be easily encoded in the ROM to prevent it -- see D2K on Intellivision as an example of how it's done. It's obviously your product and your decision, but your stubborn and elitist attitude ("We will NEVER release a ROM version.") means I will in turn not support any of your work. And I know that I am not the only one. You are losing both money and goodwill. But clearly this matters little to you.
  16. How is it that my 3D TV in 3D mode can make it look like my PS4 games are in 3D, when they are not 3D games? It's not as pronounced an effect as known 3D PS3 titles, but there is depth there that is not present in 2D mode...Any ideas?

Apparently, the TV may be upconverting from 2D to 3D. I understand this does not make for true 3D, but it does seem to create at least the illusion of depth.

Most 3D TVs have the ability to create a 3D effect on 2D content.

  17. Another good argument for a ROM release for purchase. Regarding concerns of piracy, each purchaser's information could be easily encoded in the ROM to prevent it -- see D2K on Intellivision as an example of how it's done. I'm certainly not going to buy a 5200 just to get a cart that is as likely to fall apart as those 5200 controllers -- even if Venture is one of my favorite games all-time.
  18. There was talk earlier of a planned release of a Space Patrol ROM for purchase this year. Any further word? I would love to see it happen.
  19. I would love to buy a ROM version, even at full price. I do not have a 5200 and have no plans to get one.
  20. You're mocking someone about your own buggy game? What's the matter with you?
  21. Bob, I don't see the final ROM. Did you post it?
  22. I'm like 1/2 hour from Disney in good traffic. Looking forward to it!
  23. Can anyone tell me if the game now loops back to the beginning after the boss battle? Thanks.
  24. I'd still love to see a T&T game get made; even better if it were reasonably true to the original artwork.
