  1. It does not work unless there is a second device. I changed settings in the config one at a time to see if any thing changed, nope. Even tried straight SCSI on my TT and Falcon, no go. Hooked up a second drive and everything works perfectly. Now remember, this is the nearly obsolete version. There may be another version they sell at Inertial computing that does have termination power. You'll need to ask them though. I do not have any other version. This version works for what I want it to and will always be with another drive. This is probably why it does not work well as an internal device. I think I remember someone trying it on a TT or MSTE as the internal drive and had problems.
  2. Joe has taken care that every original release ROM works with the LTO Flash.
  3. @ijor I do not pretend to know anything about it, but wouldn't the power come from the computer end, instead of the drive end? I would have thought the computer would hand power over to the Link2. I have both versions of the Link2. The clear case and the opaque case. I'll try both tonight.
  4. I would like about 10 of these. They can be half height or full height and the power supply needs to work. They do not need to have drives in them, but do need to have at least one slot open for a CD ROM or SyQuest drive. PM me or post here with anything you have and price you would like.
  5. @ijor No. I do not need a setup where it is the only device. I do have one that I have not mounted anywhere yet. I can give that a try and see what happens. I imagine it will work just fine as the SCSI2SD has its own terminating resistors.
  6. @ijor Yes. I have a Full Height SCSI case with a SyQuest 200 Drive and a v5.0b SCSI2SD unit also installed with all 4 SCSI Units enabled (4 drives). I have used this setup interchangeably between MY TT/Falcon with straight SCSI and all my other STs with the ACSI port and a Link2. I have also used one with an AdSCSI adapter and one with a Mega File 44 on the second port that those units have. They all work great. I have a couple of Supra interfaces I want to try at some point, but I have read elsewhere that it works there too.
  7. @tjlazer I see you have set the device in slow mode, I am not sure what that does. When I set my v5.0b up I changed very little from the defaults. I changed the drive to 1 gig, renamed what the devices calls itself and away I went with no problems at all. Of course I used external adapters on all three of mine and not the internal one on my MSTE.
  8. I am using three v5.0 at the moment and I have Samsung 32Gig micro SDs in them. I use HDDRIVER with them.
  9. I have to say that I like those SCSI2SD devices. I own 4 of them now and I am happy as a clam. 1 is installed in a Mega File 44 with the guts replaced with an AdSCSI. I get 4 SCSI2SD 1 Gig Drives (8 Partitions for TOS 1.04) and MF44 removeable HD mechanism. 1 is install in a generic case along with a SyQuest 200 drive. Same number of drives as above. 1 will be installed into an 8 bay Tower. It will have only 3 SCSI2SD 1 Gig Drives, 1 CD ROM, 1 SyQuest 44, 1 SyQuest 88 and 1 SyQuest 200 installed all in the same case. Why all the Syquests? Glad you asked. HDDriver is not allowing me to format a lower capacity disk in the 88 or the 200. It will partition, read and write, but will not format them. 1 is installed in a MF44 with the Atari guts still in it. I only get 1 1 GIG drive and the SyQuest 44 from it due to Atari's limitation of 1 Hard drive per port and there are only two ports in the regular MF44. I am probably going to remove this and put it in another case with an AdSCSI.
  10. Try this without doing anything extra and do not leave anything out. 1. Boot the computer to desktop with HDDriver.sys loaded 2. load HDDUTIL 3. Reset all settings, I believe it is under the "SETTINGS" menu 4. Run Auto Configure, under "TOOLS" I believe. 5. Quit HDDUTIL using the File menu item. Using the File menu item writes out an updated HDDriver.sys. 6. When you reach the desktop, reboot the computer. 7. load HDDUTIL and try again. This modifies HDDriver.sys to exactly what hardware it found during autoconfigure. See if that helps any.
  11. I have one of those FA-ST units. They are pretty cool. The have an AdSCSI adapter board in them. There is also room for a second HD, but I would add this little device to it instead SCSI to SD https://store.inertialcomputing.com/category-s/100.htm I bought the v5.0b version as it is smaller and uses micro-SDs. I can be configured with 4 drives of 1 gig each, each with their own unit number
  12. I do not think Bruce will be re-activating his website after talking with him a couple months ago. He does have an eBay store though: http://www.ebaystores.com/atarisalesandservice
  13. I think another difference is the US one has the dollar sign and the UK has the British Pound Sign. I forget which key that is. The 4?
  14. You will have to modify the computer to use 1.44 floppies and drives. It is not recommended to use 1.44 floppies as 720k floppies, get real 720k floppies. The encoding wears out within short periods of time (days, weeks, months?) A Couple of vendors sell the kits for the upgrade. You can find a link thread at the top of this forum to find the kit.
  15. I received mine yesterday with a crushed package. Thankfully the game box was not damaged. Suggestion for your shipping department: When packing, use filler to completely fill the shipping box so the contents do not slide around. A completely filled box also helps the shipping box from being crushed, thereby keeping the contents safe. I have shipped thousands of games world wide with only 1 replacement I had to make. That box looked like it was driven over. I also had one customer think his was also crushed, but it was not when he opened it because of the way I packed it. Only want help out a fellow gamer.
  16. This device has an audio jack for sound. That big black wheel is for volume. "3.5mm A/V connector with volume control"
  17. This is what I use along with a monitor that supports 15Khz. https://www.exxoshost.co.uk/atari/store2/#0107 Looks like he is currently out, but in the pinned "links" thread at the top of this forum, there are other vendors that have similar.
  18. Bid on these SyQuest disks not expecting to win because of the low ball bid I made, but I won. Now that I have 200 MB disks coming, I had better have a drive that can use them. So I got this with a BIN. I have a case to put it in already. I might even put it into a Megafile 44. I will also put in that case a SCSI2SD card as a second device that previously purchased from here: Inertial Computing. This give me 4 additional 1 gig drives to use in a standard case and only 1 additional 1 gig drive in the Megafile 44
  19. Here is the link to Bruce's eBay store. http://www.ebaystores.com/atarisalesandservice Here is his website. It has phone number and email address http://www.myatari.com/ Another alternative is Best Electronics in the San Francisco area. http://www.best-electronics-ca.com/ BTW: All of these links can be found in the pinned thread at the top of this forum.
