  1. 1. how about a colecovision/adam buy sell area? Exclusive for colecovision/adam related new or old. Atariage marketplace is great but the coleco related posts are few and far between.

    2. How about colecovision fan art area, much like he-man.org has. Doesn't have to be good art but just for fun. Could even be comic strips.

    3. documentation for programmers/designers/hardware designers. The more info the better. I'm constantly searching for samples for at the moment music/sound programming.

  2. Yeah, I've been taken a few times on ebay. It's a really bad system.

In fact it's a terrible system 12% to ebay on sales or more on sales

    0 zero 0 protection to sellers. 0

    Zero...

    z..e...r..o

Any buyer can rip you off everytime if they so choose and you cannot even complain or give a negative feedback. Even if tracking says they got it... got what?. They only have to say it was not as described and send back an empty box or not at all. People are on there with %100 feedback who have ripped off multiple people.

It's terrible except when compared to every other system. I am following your plight because it has happened to me and it sucks.

  3. I second this. I would like to see super smurf. The default game I always play when I can't remember which colecogame I want to play first.

If no one else does then I might make my own version eventually after tanks.

Seeing as Retroillucid does not seem to be concerned about Peyo anymore, I think it's high time to revisit the idea of making a Smurf Rescue - Super Game as was originally planned by Coleco back in 1983/84. ;)

  4. ...aus Kanada!

I am still working on gettinr rid of all of my stuff.

If someone wants to buy the remaining stock of manufactured games and re-sell them, I am open to offers.

Been a little afraid to ask... but I hope this doesn't mean you are done with intellivision homebrew scene.

I really appreciate the great efforts For D2K, Hover bovver & now old school that I personally have purchased from you.

I hope there will be more in the future.

  5. Very cool. I've been programming games since the 80's too... but with significantly less success.

Oh well it's great to hear about all this background info. I rather liked Krull. I spent more than a few quarters on that one.

And Diablo... well you owe me approx. 3 weeks of my life back. My Brother and I were both between opportunities at the same time and well the playstation was there

  6. I have one that I may attempt to make if no one else does which is

Conan - Hall of Volta for apple 2

    I also think

    Time Bandit

Check out my video of the ultra rare Sanyo Mbc 550 version of this in 8 colour graphics.

In the same spirit as the other recent thread "Arcade games you want on the ColecoVision", here's your chance to name some home computer games you would like to see on the CV. No Atari 2600/5200/7800, no Intellivision, no NES or any other console please. Just home computers.

Let's try to keep the arcade ports out of the equation please. This would be a good opportunity to list some hidden gems you remember from the Apple II, Vic-20, Commodore 64, Coco-2, TI-99/4A, ZX Spectrum, etc. which you believe the ColecoVision could handle in terms of graphics, sounds and general gameplay.

By the way, feel free to list some MSX games if you want, but we've seen enough talk about MSX ports in recent years that we could do without it here. I'd like this thread to be about games for home computers other than MSX.

    I'll start with a few:

    - Parsec (TI-99/4A)
    - Time Bandit (Coco-2 and other computers)
    - Head Over Heels (ZX Spectrum)
    - Downland (Coco-2)
    - Atic Attack (ZX Spectrum)
    - Impossible Mission (Commodore 64)
    - Knightlore (ZX Spectrum)

EDIT: How could I forget "Leisure Suit Larry in the Land of the Lounge Lizards" (IBM PC)? :)

  7. Thanks, I am well versed in Wagner.

Have you ever played Return Fire on 3DO or Play Station?

Yep It will most likely be put in there. Very Appropriate.

Hey I've used digital sounds before in an earlier build but I had to stop the NMI while doing it. Someone mentioned a way to play the samples without stoping the action. How would I (best ) go about doing this from C.

Now, you need this "tune" in your game

  8. I figured it would be mentioned. I'll probably take that out and leave it neutral. I was reusing graphics from an earlier concept I made which was more of a WW2 strategy style. I don't like being too politically correct but I know I should stay away from those symbols.

Thanks. I am taking all suggestions and will apply some for sure.

You live in Germany, are you familiar with Freddy, apparently a popular folk singer at one time. I sold a record to a fellow in Germany a while back. It was half Germany & half English folk singing. Sounded pretty good, I made mp3 copy for myself.

Maybe you should keep out the WW2 symbols, or at least the one in the video, or else we will have a problem here in Germany in getting the game ^^

    looks nice btw :)

  9. Check out the updated video as well.

The destructive environment was key for a tank game. And for hiding.

I was having a few problems that took forever to track down now have most functions working.

I'm adding more details and the solid buildings, trees and obstacles next. Some kick back when the tank fires. (I already put in a delay to account for the slow rloading tim of a tank). Then more screens/playfields to either choose from or to play on randomly. I haven't decided yet.

For the biplanes style I'm thinking of adding a level with obstacles in the air. I'm not sure exactly what I want but maybe tunnels? or bridges. Hmmm. Could use multiple screens/split screen and racing through tunnels against player 2.

Ahh I think I got it, biplanes duel to whatever number of deaths say first to get 7 kills. Then a 6 -10 screen race to the next battle field with the loser getting stuck on the runway for 3 seconds or so. And of course the same physics so you could kill off your opponent to get ahead in the race. Hard to do though without a split screen

  10. you are planning on injuring your knee tomorrow?

    With what a hammer?

    Ha ha

Eduardo. I'm glad to see you back, and hope all is well.

I'm near you geographically if you need any help in shipping or anything.

I'm actually off work for the next two months..due to knee surgery that I am getting tomorrow!

  11. Updated ver 3 of my War game in Progress

    tanks

    biplanes

    War screen capture001

Now has a destructive environment. This provides cover. But you can't hide for ever as you can blast through the buildings, obstacles.

New explosions. Other fixes I would only notice

    Still have more to do.

-Tank will not be able to pass through trees & buildings unless they are first destroyed.

-Still some glitches with sprites disappearing.

-better sound (I haven't worked on the sound much at all)

    Overall Much better.

  12. There is always hope!

I still think Eduardo is reading these and I actually think he is going to deliver everything. Though I don't know him he has an obvious dedication to his work & these projects. If you notice a lot of the pixelboy releases were actually ported by Eduardo Mello including thexder & king's valley.

He has obviously been overwhelmed by something. I think he'll return and deliver. Yeah it's over due but better late than ...

I used to just get mad at myself for seeing new posts in this thread, then reading them, thinking there might be Eduardo posting or some positive information.

I still get fooled when I see there's new posts here, but now I just punch myself in the face a few times, knowing full well I shouldn't even bother clicking on it, though I do..
