  1. I looked through the video. I played it back in the 80's too. I see no reason why this can't be done exactly on colecovision and with better graphics than this C64 version so I don't think the designer will much problems limitations wise. There are 36 characters on the screen with 2 colours each but only 2 of these are animating at any one time and the rest can be just tiles. and the battle scene the characters are 1 colour plus 1 projectile each so it won't break the 4 sprites per line rule. This is entirely possible on colecovision It's going to turn out great I have no doubt.
  2. I think a sega master system modified to run colecovision games would solve many of these problems It even has an everdrive available and can already run sg1000 games.
  3. Hi, I ordered a copy of Astro Dodge last year and it's really well done. Very nice graphics and sound effects. Tell us some more about 'Shifted' and possible a screen shot or video. Thanks Martijn / Revival Studios
  4. that's funny that's exactly my thought. I was programming a tank slowdown routine til 2 am this morning. will be in the next iteration. I might even put a bit of shake to the tank when it comes to a stop are first starts. we'll see I'm almost out of room -tank slowdown -I might put in reverse as well. not sure yet. -I added a smoke effect that blows away after firing -I had 3 hit points to kill a tank but it wasn't fun that way. 1 hit ,1 kill keeps you on your toes planes are too fast too but there are 2 speeds for them if someone has trouble they can just keep it in slow. working on the music a bit today.
  5. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i1JVZ-0F8dU&feature=youtu.be Here is a micro update to show the tank is now more 3d looking in profile view.
  6. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-1L-94qO0Zo&feature=youtu.be Here is an Updated video on some progress that I have made. -some music. It's simple music right now I hope to improve it. -sound effects -fixed disappearing sprite issue -added new screens to add some variety -added solid buildings tree obstacles, rivers, rocks bridges -most obstacles are destructive -improved explosion effect -changed title screen to greyscale with new layout to save some Kb
  7. To me it's bizarre that these have become difficult to sell. I use my original modded xbox more than any other system... because it emulates so many other systems. It plays dvd's it plays streaming video from your computer It can provide streaming video to your computer It plays NES, TG16, Atari, Colecovision, Sierra adventure games, Mame on and on. Sega... super nes... etc. It can even play PS1 games It also plays music It also has 4 built in ports for 4 player games (dungeons & dragons heros is 4 players simulataneously) It plays Halo & Halo2 It plays copied/backup up xbox games It can install the game straight to the harddrive You can hook up a usb mouse & keyboard to it to play sierra adventure games. Beyond awesome. Plus the one you are selling has an upgraded 80 gig drive and is already softmodded and comes with a working controller & the av/power cables. Somebody buy this , you will not be sorry.
  8. That is a good point though. We are skewed towards the colecovision side of coleco but if you are looking for lots of hits and bigger traffic etc then perhaps it should be coleco & not colecovision Might be lots of rod hockey enthusiast that might drop by for instance if they have a place to share
  9. its a fact that not many girls played the retro games much. I'm sure there's a few. But as a hobby I'd say even less so when it comes in my house it's my time away from the wife... plus anytime I start speaking logically. Although She did get hooked on jewel panic one day on the colecovision. Colecovision.com - would be my ideal. Easy to find and easy for new people to find. Doesn't seem to be available though.
  10. 1. how about a colecovision/adam buy sell area? Exclusive for colecovision/adam related new or old. Atariage marketplace is great but the coleco related posts are few and far between. 2. How about colecovision fan art area, much like he-man.org has. Doesn't have to be good art but just for fun. Could even be comic strips. 3. documentation for programmers/designers/hardware designers. The more info the better. I'm constantly searching for samples for at the moment music/sound programming.
  11. Yeah, I've been taken a few times on ebay. It's a really bad system. In fact it's a terrible system 12% to ebay on sales or more on sales 0 zero 0 protection to sellers. 0 Zero... z..e...r..o Any buyer can rip you off everytime if they so choose and you cannot even complain or give a negative feedback. Even if tracking says they got it... got what?. They only have to say it was not as described and send back an empty box or not at all. People are on there with %100 feedback who have ripped off multiple people. It's terrible except when compared to every other system. I am following your plight because it has happened to me and it sucks.
  12. Its not the same box. I compared them. The fold lines in the upper right come off at a different angle. Here are the two side by side and I overlayed them in the second pic onto the exact face of the left box.
  13. I second this. I would like to see super smurf. The default game I always play when I can't remember which colecogame I want to play first. If no one else does then I might make my own version eventually after tanks.
  14. Thanks for the continued efforts. I use sdcc on a regular basis. I'll try this version to make sure my program will compile and then switch over.
  15. Been a little afraid to ask... but I hope this doesn't mean you are done with intellivision homebrew scene. I really appreciate the great efforts For D2K, Hover bovver & now old school that I personally have purchased from you. I hope there will be more in the future.
  16. How about alli-ze-dog . I t could be French themed
  17. Very cool. I've been programming games since the 80's too... but with significantly less success. Oh well it's great to hear about all this background info. I rather liked Krull. I spent more than a few quarters on that one. And Diablo... well you owe me approx. 3 weeks of my life back. My Brother and I were both between opportunities at the same time and well the playstation was there
  18. Just Sayin... of course its a flappy bird biplanes I'm making for colecovision. Might try intellivision in the future though. biplanes part is at 2:10 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IodoZ2DzH2M
  19. I have one that I may attempt to make if no one else does which is Conan - Hall of Volta for apple 2 I also think Time Bandit Check out my video of the ultra rare Sanyo Mbc 550 version of this in 8 colour graphics. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J-E-eU6DC8Q
  20. Thanks, I'm looking through some threads to see what I can find. It's not essential, I might not have sufficient rom space left by the time I add some music anyways. Just thought it might be nice to have a few small digital sounds.
  21. Thanks, I am well versed in Wagner. Have you ever played Return Fire on 3DO or Play Station? Yep It will most likely be put in there. Very Appropriate. Hey I've used digital sounds before in an earlier build but I had to stop the NMI while doing it. Someone mentioned a way to play the samples without stoping the action. How would I (best ) go about doing this from C.
  22. Freddy Quinn , that would be him. I didn't know his last name.
  23. +1 I've never programmed in assembler but I'm interested. Can't be too much different for C language .. I .. hope.
