  1. SMS was an amazing system that never got fully tapped for its potentual till WAY late after it was dead. Tec Toy in Brazil made some amazing arcade ports like the SF II (I had this and it was a damn good port) and a few others. The only thing that I felt was lacking was the audio, some of the music was good but most of the SMS games were down right annoying to listen too. There was a FM mod that was made some years ago that plugged into the expantion port or cart slot (I cannot remember) that allowed most of the games audio to run in FM midi and it made a HUGE difference and the audio was damn near arcade quality. The Japanese Mark III system got this FM chip from the get go why it was never made for the US SMS is strange. Here are some examples Gollvellius and the Valley of Doom Double Dragon Phantasy Star and Y's
  2. Still waiting for the final comfirmation email for Pitfall II Arcade

  4. Thanks! I got a pretty nice lot of C64 and Atari stuff yesterday, this was in the box with the 130xe. Bummer I didnt get a thermal printer with it
  5. lol I too have been collecting them, I see them in bundles of 6 or more carts at my local thriftshop for 2.99. I found a V-Smile Mobi-Go (looks like an old school T-mobile Gen one Sidekick) and a V-smile handheld console. My daughter will have quite the game collection when she is old enough to figure these things out I think I have around 30 or more carts.
  6. ^ Its like that everywere, all the hipsters buying up "retro" games at thriftstores seems to be the "cool" thing to do now. I swear 3/5 times I go when i went on my regular route there was always someone asking "Got any Retro games?". Or the Phone scanner folks, those are always the best! The day's of huge Thriftstore hauls are over, at least in Western WA. CL is another dead end too, there is that rare moment when a huge lot will pop up but you have to be fast as the resellers sit there and refresh the page to see newly listed stuff. I was pretty suprised I was able to get the lot I did yesterday with the ad being up as long as it was (over 24 hours) and the prices I got the stuff for was pretty insane. Oh and I dont even bother looking for old school game stuff at Goodwill anymore it goes right to ebay or shopgoodwill.com. Oldest things I see are PSX with the occasional Genesis that managed to slip through.

  9. Loads of fun games and cool homebrew stuff. The SD drive floating around allows you to play floppy games and cart Games off a scan disc. loads if cool upgrade mods to be had on the 800xl too. I have 4 800xl systems, a couple for back up parts up and one I have been trying to sell local. Fun system, I just snagged me a 130xe today, been playing around with it.

  17. I have about 20 carts that I have aquired over the year or so buying out lots of Atari 8bit and other Atari games. No system, but I did find the original joysticks for 2.99 at a pawn shop. Look to be in good condtion! I do however want one to have in the collection and play some of these games.
  18. As the title states, looking for a loose working condition System changer. Let me know what you got! not opposed to getting one that is missing the red stripe but really want to match it up with my system, ECS/keyboard! Thanks!
  19. Video Game Final Fees are one of the highest next to jewelry and Cars, I used to sell Old School car audio amplifiers and the final fees were very low. I agree that the fees in general are getting out of hand accross the board, I miss the old days of eBay!
  20. Laser Gates! Not sure why iMagic never took this to the next gen outside of Atari 8bit. 2600 version Atari 8bit version
  21. Hmmm interesting, what does the POT on the ECS do?
