  1. Hey all!

I cannot find my INTV II ECS power supply I know Mattel liked to use off the wall power supplies with strange voltage and amperage I think the ECS used a 10vac 1amp wall mole. Does anyone know of an alternitive power supply that can be used? Also does anyone know polarity of the input connector (outer negitive inside positive ect ect).

    Thanks!

  2. I'm not purposefully being dense, but every time people talk about TurboExpress issues they talk about "caps" and "audio" together. If that was my only problem going though, wouldn't I see a picture on the screen? My audio was bad to begin with - I always had to use headphones playing it anyway. Is replacing the caps that caused an audio issue really going to fix the fact that nothing displays on the screen when I power it up? I should still see something regardless of whether or not I hear anything.

Correct, this has to do with charging the crystals LCD Display (the back light bulb has nothing to do with this), if the caps are dry then they will not be able to hold and dischage like normal. This happens on a lot of the older handheld back lit systems with a light tube. Game Gear suffers from the same problems.

I found a DEAD duo it would not post or turn on. I got the caps replaced and BAM damn thing fired right up. Another one I sold DOA before I knew about the cap fix was repaired by the buyer and it solved the problem.

These consoles are getting old and liquid filled caps are bound to dry out at some point, This also happens with old school car audio gear but the danger with some of those that the caps would leak and cause an electrical fire.

  3. Castlevaina III (all of it) The Japanese version wtih the special Konami sound chip is pretty damn good too.

  4. As the title states, I have trade and if all else fails cash in hand. Let me know what you have!

Hit me up with what you are wanting and photos!

I am a sucker to have things match up so I want the II system to match up the intv computer, 2600 plug in modules.

    (Update)

Found what I was looking for, But I am going to leave this open as I would like to find extra INTV II controllers in working condition, and another 16v INTV II power supply.

  5. I got one for Christmas, played it for about 1 day it broke on me. I took it back washed my hands of it and bought me another AES to fill the void. Best thing I did.

Now the game line up wasnt all that bad, I think they could have done better but I am sure there was legal issues or some sort of licensing issues they could not deal with. But hey since it was stolen software anyway why not the entire Neo Geo library minus Irritating stick/maze? Not like they couldnt have fit all those on the micro SD card/eprom.

Oh well I do not see it going anywere but down, it would be a cool piece to have on the shelf as the packaging looks great!

  6. ^ 296 games to be exact I own all 296 too, N64 has some titles that really shine for old school polygon games, Zelda Majora's Mask, Turok 2 (expantion pak enabled) and Donkey Kong 64 as well as Banjo & Kazooie series, there are others but lets name the ones we all know.

I worked at NOA at the time of Zelda OOT and Turok 2 and a few other titles that escape me.

N64 used rendering tricks like fog, blurr and simple models and textures to get around the loading and rendering jobs, keep the games flowing nice as to keep distance draw at a minium so that the system did not have to keep uncompressing texture/model packets every time. The system had low video ram to start with but that is why they released the expantion pack was for a higher resolution and faster unloading/loading of texture/model packets on games that took advantage of it.

Nintendo proved that they can do everything that the CD systems can do, take a look at Resident Evil 2 N64 it comes fully loaded with both discs and all the extra's with full voice and fmv's on one cart, sure there was loading in between rooms but that was apart of the games ambiance in both the ps1 and N64 versions, either way it was pretty impressive.

PS1 still is a great system and will hold its own but it did not really start to shine till after the Saturn left the market and Sony had full control over 3rd party licensed titles, Metal Gear Solid pushed the PS1 to the limits and still looks good even today.

I really wish the Dreamcast would have stuck around a little longer as it was really starting to show what it could do with titles like RE,Code Verionica, Illbleed Sonic 2 ect, Quite a few of the launch titles looked pretty amazing too Blue Stinger for as much hate as it got looked amazing, House of the Dead 2 and of course Sonic Adventure. E.G.G is still one of my favorite games on the system amazing 2D hand drawn art work was amazing.

  7. Sold me his Neo Geo AES system /Game. System arrived in excellent condtion, package was well put together.

Will deal with again for sure, eveything was on the level, great communication!

    Thanks!

(did not see he already had a thread opened for him!)

  8. Big Birds Egg Catch is a lot of fun too, the later levels with the scrolling invisible egg shutes and the invisible egg stages can get pretty fast and crazy.

Kinda wish someone would break the code and make it harder/faster! Music crackes me up as it gets going faster and faster as the game play speeds up.

Here is an idea of the game play you can select unlimited play it just keeps going untill you run out of lives.

  9. On the non working keys, just try pressing them repeatedly until they work. Usually about 30 repeated presses wears the oxidation off and then they work fine.

SIO2SD are awesome. I have an SIO2PC which is also pretty good...I have an old laptop that I use to hold the ATR images, and it works fine.

Cool I will keep pounding those keys then, I did that for a couple of the other ones and they started working but these others seem to be very stubborn :) I like the system so far it seems to have a better color then the 400.

I need more games, Miner 2049'er is great but I want to see what these 8-bit macines can do graphic/sound wise I want to hear more epic Pokey tunes!
