  1. ^ I replied to you PM, Can this STE IDE interface work on a F unit?
  2. Well shoot, make that 7 INTV consoles. TutorVision http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic/69242-intellivision-tutorvision-found-wgames/ Seems like a legit release no idea about this one as I have never seen it or heard of it till today lol.
  3. Got it, GTE - Sylvania intellivision, save as the first INTV console with a different name plate. This one is by far the rarest to find of the 6.
  4. Yeah there are 6 Intellivision consoles, INTV NTV II INTV III Sears Super Arcade Tandyvision The 6th one escapes me, for the life of me I cannot remember what it was called and I do not remember if it was a Mattel Release or a 3rd party.
  5. As far as I know the INTV III is 100% compat with all games. Atleast the ones I have I tested on mine work including Coleco stuff. Some INTV III have very tight cart slot pins so some games like my MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE when pulling out the cart the board stayed in the machine whoops!
  6. Ugh always late for these amazing technical feats! I got a chance to play this on a physical XE Sheddy made cart lastnight and damit I want one now!
  7. I might have one I will need to double check, what do you have for trade stock?
  8. Some of the earlier games were pretty impressive like Gorf, and Radar Rat Race. I swear I remember reading that the later titles acctually had sprites that were programmed on the game side with extra hardware in the game carts rather it was rumor or truth who knows. I played on the Mega Cart at a nother collectors house it is pretty impressive to say the least. worth the year wait imo. I might just go a head and get one as finding carts around the Seattle Area is damn near impossible anymore.
  9. Looks great! Cannot wait to get on the next run if there is one!
  10. True, I could do that but then I would have to find another face, might as well get a whole working unit
  11. The ports are fine, the controller work when the game requires one to play, and I tested this with a US controller and it was fine. Must be something with the EURO 7800 controllers. But yes I did check all the ports for bad solider points all were good and solid and worked.Even the 7800 EURO pads worked as well but like I said when I came to typing on the keyboard with those plugged in it was not happening. As for the drive I never got one with the STf, the STe came with a drive but it needs a belt and it has a different mouth then the STf case allows. So I need one that fits that shell
  12. If the other person backs out, I would love to get it as I have an orphen keyboard!
  13. You would be correct, the STe is the one with the ram slots, the STf is the one with the onboard ram. I just bought another unmolested STf and it too has the ram built onto the board. Now to find another internal drive to complete the working STf. Oh and BTW ST line HATES the 7800 Euro controllers, I thought all of my keyboards were shot as I was playing games that require a controller and for the life of me I could not figure out what the hell was going on. I was trying to type in a security code for Kings Quest IV and the keyboard was freaking out. After some testing and unplugging the controller I found that it was the issue. I also tested this in ST word editor. One key press with a EURO controller plugged in would do like 10 or more key presses all random characters so if I press a X it would do [email protected]#[email protected]#Rf [email protected] I would love to put that STE to IDE Interface in one of my STf machines but the chip it was plugged into on the STE is not present on the STf board.
  14. Pole Position http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kiEj4RNpYME Atari, What will they think of next! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ARtn9VuieUI
  15. You can use a Genesis or NES RF adaptor, although the picture will be fuzzy since Atari systems do not like Autoswitching RF boxes, Atleast you can see if they turn on. The 800xl should boot into basic with out a cart inserted. Also you can test the keyboard keys by typing the phrase THE QUICK BROWN FOX JUMPS OVER THE LAZY DOG 1234567890 ect ect. There is a Self Diagnostics on the system I think if you hold start or option down and then turn on the system it will boot into the DIAG sys check screen. The 7800 any 2600 cart will show some functionality chances are if the 2600 cart boots up then the 7800 will be fine As far as the 1050 floppy drive goes, hook it up to the SIO port on the back of the 800xl, make sure to plug in its own power supply, after setting this all up, turn on the floppy drive first then turn on the 800xl. IF the drive is functioning you will hear a series of beeps and a message repeating BOOT ERROR over and over, this is a way to test if the SIO port and drive function. But since you have no disks then that is as far as you can go.
  16. Opcode I have got an email news letter about the SGM a few days ago, I signed up on your site back in Sep of last year. Does this mean I am on the list for round 2?
  17. awesome stuff! Saw these in person. That no soldier trace cart is a cool piece for sure!
  18. Not going to give up on it just yet, but I do have projects that I need to get done before really diving into this one I pulled all the ram one by one, no change I pulled the IDE controller, no change I pulled the Keyboard, no change I pulled the HD but left the IDE piggy backed on the chip, no change I pulled the floppy, no change I will try and get back to it, the Case on the bottom states its an STf machine, the other one I have is a STe and has Ram chips hardmounted to the MB right under were the PS goes. There is also metal box under the interferance shield. I did not get into it much as I got it working with just putting the PS in and turning it on. I might try and see if I can get that IDE interface to work but I think the Damage to the STf was from that Metal floppy stand off being loose inside the unit and zapped something causing a dead short.
  19. I tried everything, the PS was fine I removed it and put it into the other machine I have that did not have a PS installed and it fired right up into GEM no problem.
  20. Couple more names! No Beer Here, Got to go!, Orly Srsly?, Jagaroids, Oh no... not again!, Sabotaged Leap.
  21. Well I hate to be the bringer of bad news but it is just a stock 1040F with an aftermarket STE to IDE Interface piggybacked off a CPU or a controller chip. No Atari Gold unfortunatly. I have crappy photos as I could not get the interferance shield all the way off. I ended up pulling the IDE Interface and drive and ram out as I think the mainboard is toast as I found the metal floppy drive standoff wedged agenst the board and it probably shorted something out. I am going to test the IDE interface on my other parts 1040E machine that works, if the IDE interface works cool if it blows up the other machien oh well I really only bought the lot for the SC1224 and accessories and games. Photos up in a few.
  22. School me on this IBM emulator, is this a hardware piece or a software deal? If it's software I have no idea as I cannot get the system to post. Or are you talking about the HD being in the location on those schematics?
