Hi, I just submitted a serial number from an Intellivision I just received today.

I have a finicky Pitfall! that only works when inserted a certain way.
-
Oh wow, that's all SO COOL! I can only dream of meeting the programmers and visiting the Sunnyvale place.
-
If this happened, I'd be the first in line to buy the new 2600. It would be awesome. Alas, I doubt it'll ever actually happen.
-
I'll try cleaning mine extensively.
-
You met the real Activision programmers? That's amazing!
-
Hmm, I never thought of alcohol. I'll try that.

The whole Swordquest situation is such a massive disappointment. That contest had a lot of potential, but all that potential was largely squandered.
-
Oh my, I am SO looking forward to this!!

Hello, can anyone give me some tips and info on dead carts? I have a copy of Defender that appears to be a dud, but someone recently told me that Atari carts are very resilient, not usually prone to dying so easily. Is there anyway I can ascertain without doubt whether a cart is dead or not? Trying it on another 2600 is out of the question because I only have access to one.

They are nearly useless outside of the contest... as well as being exceedingly boring to play.
-
I'll have to try that. Thanks for the suggestion!

Just look in my gallery to see the pictures, this site won't allow to attach them all here.

Managed to snag nine more games yesterday at an antique store, so updating my list. I may add pictures, too.
UPDATE: For some reason the site won't allow me to add more than four pictures, so I don't know what's wrong.

I'm amazed the games were finally found. 31 years later...
-
Well, my first (and so far only) 2600 is a 4 switch woody, from '82. Found it at my grandparents house, which is where it had ended up after my older brother tired of it in the late '80s. It had 8 games, (Combat, Air-Sea Battle, Pac-Man, Video Pinball, Ms. Pac-Man, Battlezone, and Moon Patrol) and five manuals (including the manual for Haunted House, but not the cart). It also had both standard controllers, the paddle controllers, and the Trak Ball controller. All in all, a great find. I have since bought more games.
-
Update: I still have yet to fully repair the 2600 as I misplaced my solder and haven't been out to get more yet. I hope to finally get it fixed soon.
-
Oh my, probably so.
-
I'm still looking...
-
Well, I did remove most of the old solder quite easily, but the holes still have solder in them.
-
Someone should buy it, restart 2600 support.
-
Why on earth would you want to complete this turkey?
-
No, its a four switch 2600A from 1982. I don't know what braid is, can someone explain? I was wondering how to get the holes clear.

What did you buy today?.........
