Hi all, I'm still pretty new here, but I figured you guys would be interested to know my collection. I have no pictures yet. Atari: I claimed my brother's old 2600, from 1982, and his small collection of games. I have since added more games to the collection through gifts and purchases. The games are: Atari: Combat (of course), with original manual, Air-Sea Battle, Defender, purchased for $5, unfortunately, it appears to be a dud. After repeated attempts to test it on my 2600, and even cleaning the contacts with alcohol twice, it still will not work, Warlords, purchased for $5, Adventure, a gift, with a beat up label, but otherwise works great, Home Run, purchased for $5, Football, purchased for $5, Missile Command, purchased for $5, Pac-Man, with original instructions, (I truly never understood how bad it is till the first time I played it.) Video Pinball, Asteroids, purchased for $5, Berzerk, another gift, Raiders of the Lost Ark, purchased for $5, Ms. Pac-Man, one of my favorites, Centipede, purchased for $5, Battlezone, with original instructions, Moon Patrol, with original instructions, And Yar's Revenge, my sole Sears Telegames cart. Coleco: Donkey Kong. Activision: Boxing, purchased for $5, Pitfall!, purchased for $5, River Raid, purchased for $5, M Network: Super Challenge Baseball, purchased for $5, Super Challenge Football, purchased for $5, I also have the instruction manual from Haunted House, but not the actual game itself. I also have my brother's old PS1, and a PS2 I won in a charity auction for $30. I only have two games for the PS2, and none for the PS1. One of the PS2 games is Sonic Mega Collection Plus. Lastly is my PSP, which I have six games for.

I wouldn't bother with it at all, but the old girl works great aside from its old faulty port. Its a shame to let a fine machine go for something like that.

Ahh, ok. So that's why the screen wont appear. I'm gonna have to find a new controller port piece, as the original is now basically shot. I don't know where to find one, though.

Hello all. I have a 2600 that has always worked fine aside from the left controller port not working properly. Any controllers plugged into the left port would move around properly, but the fire button didn't work. The right port had no problem. I had asked around on here, and was told it was likely the left port was bad, or possibly needed resoldering. I disassembled the console and found that indeed, the port needed resoldering. I have no soldering skills whatsoever, but was assured that it was easy by people here and elsewhere. As a result, I resolved to attempt a repair myself... The results are disastrous. Firstly, the port is now completely removed, and I consequently need a replacement. However, the spot on the board where the port attaches is covered with gobs of solder I can't figure out how to remove. The worst bit, however, is that now I can't get my Atari to show any picture whatsover on a tv screen, and I'm terrified I somehow badly damaged the board. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can possibly salvage this mess?

Hello, new forum member here. I was perusing the 2600 Controller list, and I happened to notice that the listing for the Trak-Ball is really lacking. There is no info whatsoever about that particuler controller, and not even a picture. I happen to have a Trak-Ball that came with a small collection of 2600 stuff that I believed belonged to my mother(I'm not entirely sure who really owned it...). As an owner of a Trak-Ball, the appalling lack of info left me confused. Does that mean its rare? Hard to find? A complete mystery? What? Also, I would be quite glad to submit pics of it that can be added to its listing for completeness.
