98000 getting better! and enjoying the game.

184,210 I have to say I just love this game! Never played the CV version until now. it is almost identical to the 2600 version, which I slightly prefer because of the colors and the way Harry looks! also I am just partial to that system I guess. I think more than anything else, my discovery of Pitfall II got me back into gaming after about a 15 year hiatus! Even after I finally got the max score the music was still happily in my head & I kept playing, timing myself for speed-runs to the finish, disregarding score. I would have moved on to max-score speed-runs but i did finally burn out on it for the time & then started crakking out on old-skool games! One thing Pitfall! still has over Pitfall II though: the timer. I wish this one had a timer on the screen for speed-run competition.

yeah, it's the only uncommon game I had back then. I was the only one in my family who actually liked it I was very fortunate to get the game about a year ago. I responded to a craigslist ad for an atari & 75 games for $50, it was at a shop in Portland called "Smut Vintage." It was such a great offer I rode the greyhound up from Eugene & I was so glad I did 'cuz it had a bunch of other hard-to find games as well, and the Atari was a heavy sixer! they told me it didn't work but I was able to get it working without much trouble. anyone looking to kill some time in Portland, Oregon check out Smut Vintage! It's a cool shop

chocolate is my #2 favorite caffeine choice! I was playing on 1 speed, but I'll switch to disc now. just for the hek of it I'll post my 1 score: 16700 whoah! impressive... looking forward to some faster action thanks felson for your comments, this game is getting very interesting for me & improving my interest in the Intellivision!

17620 hooray I got a 2... you're rockin' Miss2600! I'm happy to be keeping up, I was getting a little discouraged with this game but I think I'm starting to build up some "fast-twitch muscle memory!" I was also happy to see "the little pac-men" ... I am always enjoying how my appreciation grows for these games from competing at them and getting better at them (except for coco nuts and commando raid, ha ha). especially Octopus, I was surprised to find I liked it by the end of the week.

I thought from reading the manual that you only get a FULL refill if you clear the planet WITHOUT the warning signal sounding. Which is much easier to do when there is only one beastie to abduct! So I figured that way each time I leave to a new planet (even though it takes two turns), at least I'll have full power every other time I fight rocks. But you're right it does add more risk,especially at the faster stages. I realized it also makes it impossible to get a full refill EVERY rock fight. So I'm just charging straight ahead now! Awesome score north coast !

i can't get the rom to work on this one. VColeco displays the title screen but freezes there. and I got Blue MSX to load .col roms but haven't figured out how to get any controls working yet. although i did get controls working for the msx game Solid Snake. anyone know what I might be missing?

14900 (I'll be back with the picture, don't have it with me right now) Lid, i love mate too! that's my caffeine of choice also i love beer but i don't think either one of them help my gaming, except sometimes! ha ha ha while we're mentioning quality imagic titles we might as well throw in Subterranea, that one's pretty good as well I too am faring about the same as I did at 12 yrs old. bummer when those wiggly ones dodge my bullets! doesn't seem fair... I have a "strategy" which doesn't work for some reason. I thought if I take only one of two beasties each time, I can cheesily score an extra few points blasting rocks before going back & going to the next planet. this would also ensure a fuel refill each time leaving a planet. but for some reason It hasn't worked out for me so far, I don't understand the flaw in my reasoning! maybe it just takes longer so my concentration suffers

13310 a tiny improvement! it's a little late in the day for tips, but I just got this down, I hope to get a higher score soon. when the shark is at the bottom level, he is much easier to hit if you are moving in the same direction as him!! shoot when his belly is right over your spear, not ahead of time like when he is higher up. also, if you are almost to 10K and haven't lost a life yet you might as well kill yourself so you can get a few more points in that round! then you get your extra life at 10K. but you can't build up more than 3 lives so it's like the Kaboom! tip.

today I have got nothing but bitten. if I were to have participated in the contest, I would have named this game "Shark Bait." the guy in the boat is your crazy stoner buddy who loves danger and treasure. he drinks and smokes and etc. he only offers the air because the two of you are trying to get as much treasure as possible. he loves tropical locations where the livin' is cheap. i like this game & don't mind losing because my favorite part is when the shark wins. it looks and sounds comical. however, I can't seem to get into a groove of hitting reset & playing over & over! it gets boring fast for me for some reason. I just noticed Northcoast is in 1st place now! wow, nice job dude.

I caught a squid from Bermuda Triangle for the Aquarium... I named him "Lucky" because the other squids were getting BLASTED !! I don't have a score yet, I was playing game 1, oops! it's still good practice though.
