  1. 40,360 Ok I'm fed up with this, time to move on. I keep crashing 01 cars in the 1st level! Also I lose the ability to jump sometimes, don't know what's going on. Again the score disappeared before I could get my camera ready. But, I did find out you can hit reset and you score comes on the screen!
  2. I rubber-banded the controllers together & it worked pretty good!
  3. 20,400 I know I got more than that but it's the last I remember seeing. Lame that it erases the score so soon!
  4. 44,195 Practice the timing for jumping through bad guys by trying to jump through the harmless green ball or even the green twerp, it works the same with them. I had the same problem as DZ at first but at some point my muscle memory got it right & I don't hit the dead zones any more. Personally, I always prefer the up, down, left, right controls for Q*bert since I started playing it on the Atari.
  5. Nice packs there! Looks like really good prices, more than fair I'd say! I'm an 8bit guy too I've got my 520 ST and that's plenty of 16bit for me. Seems a perfectly reasonable place to post too... in fact I couldn't think of a better one
  6. Reindeer Rescue: 24,075 Gingerbread: 3,250 I'm liking these two games more now!
  7. I made Ranger Elf again! Didn't have much time to play & it seemed really hard after several years so I'm very pleased with that. If I'd had more time this round I'm sure I would have trashed my previous best x)
  8. BTW, Frogger... yeah control problem hell! I kinda got used to it though, & got better. Still many of my deaths were unfair...
  9. I don't understand how anyone "couldn't" have played Christmas Carol. I think they just "didn't." It happens all the time in high score clubs, right? A couple people don't play a game. Those who do however, get points. Anyone can play that game if they want to. If they can make it to the HSC, that means they have (at least occasionally) access to a computer, and (at least occasional) internet access... which is also, coincidentally, all one needs to play Christmas Carol vs the Ghost of Christmas Presents! Well, whatever you decide you're the cap'n. But I would think, why not include people's scores who DID decide to play? Isn't that always what we get points for anyway?
  10. Do you know if that CX35 is compatible with the Wico stick for the 5200?
  11. Toyshop Trouble: 5,638 10,204 Good to get back at this one
  12. Wow, copies of this game still showing up! my 2 cents: If someone has poor English, I would not assume that is any kind of reason to suspect they offered a fake item. Some people did not grow up speaking English. Also, starting with a higher asking price is no indication of maliciousness or harmful intent. It just means somebody wishes to get full value for their item. When I have shopped on ebay or what-not, I never feel defensive about high prices. I don't see that as an attack or threat of attack. No harm done, they have made an offer and I don't feel pressured or anything. I can always make a "best offer" or a "bid" of my own. Even if somebody asked $30k for that I would not feel any threat. It's fully up to me whether to pay that or not, and if someone did pay that much... still no harm done. It was their choice. They got what they wanted. And good for the guy who sold it. Therefore I don't think any reasonable person would distrust somebody for reasons like these. HOWEVER, I do see a point stated above which seems reasonable to me. People want to see positive feedback and a solid user history. That more than any pictures or what-not (I think) shows credibility and gives people confidence in the person making the offer. So it may be difficult to get thousands of dollars for something with no history or feedback. Escrow assures one will get their product so one only needs to consider whether the guy may have offered a fake item. Just for fun: If I had that game and decided to try selling it I would start high (maybe even more than 12k, why the heck not?) and accept no less than $5,000. Otherwise I'd damn keep it! ...unless I stopped collecting. Then I'd keep trying and maybe take $2-3k if it just kept not selling. If I had tons of bucks and wanted to buy it for my collection I would just damn buy it for whatever I could get it for. Start offering a little low and go from there. If I wanted it for a bargain and hoped to resell it I would start VERY low and maybe pay as much as $1,000. If I was the real me (not having tons of bucks) I wouldn't pay more than about $100 so probably no RSC for me! Awesome find! and good luck with the sale
  13. A flashcart for Intellivision would be amazing! I can never afford those things, and have been very fortunate to get some accidentally, and some as contest prizes... @dpisacane -- missed your question earlier, I am also starting on Frogger Level 1.
  14. Same here! I love playing homebrews in the HSC. There are still so many I've never tried, and I still find out about more which I've never heard of, and new ones coming out all the time. This is a great way to have a darn good testing-out of new games so I know which ones I would really love to have! Also, I don't think there is anyone playing here who doesn't have access to emulation. To play in this HSC, one must have a computer of some sort (or at least occasional access to one), and at least occasional internet access of some kind. So therefore, (I think) this means access to emulation. To me the only thing stopping anyone from emulating, is a personal choice not to use emulation... which is fine, just the same as having a personal choice not to play a game one doesn't enjoy (even if they have it in their collection). Or a personal choice not to play paddle games, etc. Some users here may not have paddle controllers. This seems to me much more limiting than not having the cartridge for a given game.
  15. Ha, that's more hilarious than I thought. I meant to look at the manual last night but forgot. Another point: non-subscriber houses have lots of windows, but subscriber houses have only 1 porch! Still I think I may want to keep a few subscribers just in case I miss the porch or ride by without any papers in my bag. ...which is basically what I'm doing anyway by the time Thursday or Friday rolls around! So it looks like for now I'll probably just keep playing like I have been... 45,500 [edit] -- Almost reached my PB
  16. Puyo Puyo: 11,086 to youxia -- you get a "tetris" by clearing 4 lines all at once. You can clear lines with singles, doubles, triples, and tetrises.
  17. 180,498 I still don't understand why the game ends when I didn't eat any wrong colors. (or at least I hadn't done for a while)
