  1. 1,376 I forgot about this stage, "Twisted Toyland" ! what a fun game!
  2. Puyo: 8,376 failed to get the screenshot but that's only my 1st attempt
  3. Carol: 1,100 After playing some more I realized, it was less important that I remembered my patterns, and more important that I got good at playing again! a couple tips... the escape tunnels work to evade the snowman, but only if he's not right on your heels. in an open space you can sometimes shake the snowman by zig-zagging. most important tip: play tons of times! Christmas Carol requires kung-fu training by massive repetition skill-building!
  4. hello! I would think just under "Classic Gaming General." Here seems fine to me as well, although some folks prefer only high score contest-related topics here. You could maybe also request a new subforum.
  5. just a thought in case it helps... when I had no internet, I would bring a thumb drive into town with me and that's how I did my downloads and also how I posted my scores. In any case I'm glad you're here gaming and ROCK ON !!
  6. Ok, I got 372 but missed the screenshot. Does anybody have a list of keyboard commands for this game? I don't know the button for screenshots. I figured out this much: Shift = Start 9 = Exit - = Go To Practice Mode F9 = Fullscreen?
  7. Noooooo... not my first time! I competed in Carol vs. the World 2013... played every day for a month and came up with a score of 3,716 by the end of it. I may have done a little better but that was my best posted score. It's just been a long time. I agree this game is amazing! Now I tried it and didn't even survive the first screen xD
  8. I thought you might like to try this: The "ROM Edition." You can play Christmas Carol without having to mess with an Intellivision emulator: http://www.carolvsghost.com/pg_game.html A gift from the maker of the game
  9. 27,700 only had 1 subscriber left on Thursday so I was breaking a lot of windows for points x)
  10. Harmony Cart is a 2600 cartridge which has an SD card slot in it. You can load roms on an SD card, insert the SD card into the Harmony Cart, and then plug the Harmony Cart into the 2600 and choose from the list of games to play! also, a rom is the game program which was stored on an original cartridge.
  11. I thought it would count like Basic Programming and the SynthCart-- not actually games but for the 2600 nonetheless. ... I think it could be called a "demo." It came in a pack of hacks & homebrews. (rom attached for your inspection!) 24 Column Text Kernel V1 (2007) (John Payson) (WIP).bin
  12. Improvement: 156,800 and 12 Tetrises again the controls are very annoying.
  13. Tetris Plus (I played "Regular Tetris" mode, I hope this is right): 105,000 +2 Tetrises! I don't like being able to move the blocks around after they land. It causes me to mess up the next block.
  14. Ultra SCSIcide: 100,3A6 This game seems a little unfair! I keep getting automatically hit when starting new waves... Pretty fun though, my first time playing this
  15. Of course everyone can play Christmas Carol! I have a question... if both games count, is it your best ranking of the two that counts? Or do they both add up together? great choices !
  16. Aw, rats. Too damn busy lately... I played some P.H. but failed to post...
  17. there are of course homebrews that haven't been played. I'll put in a suggestion for some Pac-Man action!
  18. Agree! great guy. Highly recommended!
  19. For The Bonus: 393 Letters ! From "24 Column Text Kernel V1" by John Payson: text from Charles Dickens!
  20. 1,806 Lordie, this is tough! good scores, y'all. I wish I'd had more time for gaming this week... still I think I can improve on this.
  21. Good grief, y'all! I played Monday and Tuesday & best I got was about 1,400. Today I started improving & I thought I was getting the hang of it and then the bird crapped at just the wrong time! ...And my score still doesn't stack up so good: 3,040
