  1. I thought it might be fun to start a topic about different things people have learned since they became members at atariage. As a child I remember using Apple 2 and Commodore 64's in school. I owned a Vic-20 and a Tandy computer growing up. A few years ago when I got really into emulation (with the wii) I learned about spectrum and msx computers. But somehow I managed to overlook/never learn that Atari was in the computer business. (Yes I knew they manufactured game consoles)
  2. It's really to bad. Other than eBay there isn't a lot of other options that ship to Canada anyway. He always charged a fair shipping rate as well if you bought a few games.
  3. Jeepers Creepers is a colecovision homebrew game that is quite fun.
  4. Sorry about the level select we will be playing level 1.
  5. I must have missed that when I watched the video. This is one of the few colecovision games I haven't played before I will take a look when I get home from work tonight.
  6. This is a system I have been searching for. Looks like it has an interesting assortment of games.
  7. Game 4 is the round number of the hsc. So this is the fourth game we played. There is no skill level select screen so its just standard settings.
  8. I was going to buy a copy of this last weekend for Canadian Thanksgiving but my cheap side wasn't willing to pay 40-50 dollars for it. I found it at a thrift store today for 2 brand new.

    Nintendo DS

I am looking for a Nintendo DS with charger and a few games. It is not for my collection so it doesn't need to be boxed or in mint condition. The games don't have to be AAA titles. Basically I am looking for something reasonably priced that will be used and abused. I am located in Canada. Let me know what you have and maybe we can reach a deal.
  10. I found a c64 as well. I would really like to get a boxed 7800. They seem to be really scarce in Canada.
  11. Season 8 - Game 4 - Zenji - Skill Level One - Round Ends Tuesday Oct. 28/14 at 8:00 a.m. EST From the Moby Games Website: Zenji is an action/strategy game where you control a rolling face throughout a maze. Each section of the maze can be rotated by the face. The goal is to turn the entire maze green by connecting each section of the maze to the source at the center of the screen. After all sections of the maze have been connected, you can move on to the next, more challenging level. In addition to having a time limit to complete your task, you need to avoid the flames and sparks which wander about the maze. From time to time a number will appear in a maze section and count down from 9 to 0. If you touch the number before it disappears, bonus points are earned. As the levels progress, the mazes become larger, trickier and more flames will appear. Thanks.

  13. Sorry I thought there was a standard time zone being used for atariage. You made it with ten minutes to spare based on what I've been using to figure out the time. (its not saskatchewan time either I am thinking its est. its an hour later than saskatchewan time) I will add a time zone when I add the next round. (and it won't be saskatchewan time as thats confusing for everyone other than me)
  14. I don't think I would call porting it a waste of time. Publishing it CIB might be a waste. If someone were to tackle this game it would be more about learning new programing skills and pushing the Colecovision to its limits. If the port worked well they could always replace the graphics to create a more original platformer.
  15. I remember playing a 3do at the local video game rental store. I would have loved to own one but at a price tag of 700 dollars that was never going to happen. I actually really enjoy fmv games I remember playing slam city on my parents pc for hours at a time. Now the 3do would look like dated junk. Funny how time changes things.
  16. Well I was able to get a nes action set and a boxed intellivision locally. The other systems I am still looking for.
  17. I would like to add the following boxed systems to my collection. Master System (first one) NES (any of the sets) Atari 7800 Pro System Intellivision (1 or 2) Commodore 64 I am located in Canada. Let me know what you have via PM and will see if we can strike a deal
  18. I got a Wii balance board the other day for 5 dollars at a thrift store. I traded it in at the game store for 15 in credit.
  19. I may really get flack for saying this but the Atari 7800 is the only Atari system I have even the slightest interest in. I don't like Sony products either with the psp being my least favorite. I don't think I would play any pong consoles I would find but I''d love to own more of them to show off.
  20. I wondered if anyone knows of a list of pc engine games that can easily be played by non japenese speaking players? Or hacked Roms in English? Games that are easy to navigate through the title screen and play.
  21. I have been thinking about buying an arcade stick to use with mame on my pc. Does anyone have any recommendations under 100 usd ?
  22. I tried the android version of bluemsx and it seems to work great. Have you tried a different rom file?
