I was looking for something more than 48k; but thanks for the link. I'll buy that one if I can't find good instructions on a 64k or > mod. The composite and stereo mod looks a little more complicated than anything I've done, but I may give it a go anyways. If I end up frying it I've still got a 48k 800.

I have an Atari 400 (among other things) and I want to tinker. I have already replaced the original keyboard with a raised key keyboard; given it a spiffy paint job (all black with a big red button). Though, I need to re paint it; the black paint I used as it turns out was not the best choice for the 400's plastic housing. Next on my Agenda is: MEMORY I know their were Memory upgrades made, but when I search on eBay for ATARI MEMORY or ATARI RAM I have never found any. Is their any parts I can rob off of my 800 to use inside the 400? What specifically could I search for? Does anyone still sell these? What other mods can be done? I would like to trick it out as much as possible; just for fun. Any info or links would be appreciated. [/code]

Its been years since I have had Atari ProLine joysticks, but if I remember correctly - they wern't bad. Atari Joypads, however; SUCK BIG BOOTY . I thought that would be the bomb, and purchased a set off of eBay. My bad. They are very cheap feeling; like their going to break any second; the fire buttons are not real responsive and the whole things just a bit awkward. I'm keeping them, just for my collections sake - but when it comes to classic gaming on Commodores or Ataris, WICO BOSS or WICO COMMANDER is the ONLY stick to use - period. Just my 2 cents.

I have the books and working disks for both LASER C and GFA BASIC. These are complete IDEs for both C and BASIC respectively. I have other software goodies (a case of disks with various softwares) as well as an 1MB STf, working IC's pulled from my old ST (hardware mod gone bad!), Atari Monochrome monitor, WICO commander joystick, and MORE. I am looking to trade ST stuff for Atari 8bit stuff. Things I am looking for: Indus GT disk drive, or Atari w/happy mod 130xe and/or XEGS a good Cassette 410 or better GAMES GAMES GAMES If ST items don't float your boat, I have a COCO2 with an unkown hardware mod (looks like a monitor hookup and speaker jack), and other COCO items, TI994a, Speech synth, A few apple II items, MBX expansion for ti. HARDCARD EZ unused! and other older computer items. So if you live in the Indinapolis area and have unwanted Atari 8bit items - - LET ME KNOW! If I don't get a trade here, all my ST stuff will end up on eBay, Laser C alone goes for over 20 dollars (theres one going for twenty NOW and its UNTESTED!). Thanks Tom
