I remember the offer,
would be interesting to know how many where done.

Just relax,
Without pong, there would be no 2600.
Without 2600, there would be no NES.
Without NES, there would be no GBA.
Without GBA, there would be no n-gage.
Don't know what a n-gage is?

I would much rather read it from someone that was there than from a magazine who's next story is on how to get to level 9 of pokemon.
-
Manufactured in 1977, 4 games, dedicated pong console.
I do not collect them so I do not have pricing on it's value.

Looks more like the orignal 8080 computer to me.

Will that XE cart work in the XL computers?
-
Are you referring to Ballblazer, Rescue or one of the other games mentioned in the article?
-
The shirt is something I would expect to be only seen at a collectors convention or Revenge of the Nerds IV filming.

Will the XE version run on the XL machines??
Always a question I never have seemed to figure out even from the FAQS

PAL versions though,
not for me.

The only part of the story that I could be sure is real is that Jack Tramiel yelled. My understanding is that guy had a problem with his temper. He also had a problem with being stingy with money.Oh yeah, Tramiel definetly had an anger problem. He yelled in his employees faces, banged his fist on his desk, and even did mass-firings.
Does not seem any different from my boss today.

If only the ET cart was equal to the Dig Dug cart, we could solve two problems at once.

Your not reading the above then. Atari if they would have changed two critical paths (decisions). They would own the entire PC market at it's infancy. They would then have had the entire market. Computer and console gaming.

Yeap,

Don't look like the original. Label is not wide enough and wrong color on text. Nice try though.

Was all set to spend up to $95 on this one but then noticed that MEGA seller does not take paypal. His auction says. We accept money orders, cashier checks, and cash (at own risk in mail) ONLY. All other forms of payment will be rejected LOL
Sounds more like you give me your money and some day you will see the cart you want deal to me. Don't care what his feedback profile says.
Went for $86.40, G/L Atarimonkey, hope you get it.

Not mine,
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=3028246093
Comes with 2600 4 switch, some games and case. Currently only $10 for works with +3 hours left.

On one of the history websites they said that IBM came knocking at Atari's door to design an OS for their new "Personal Computer". Atari management turned them away. (We all know what Redmond company then helped out IBM). They also had a shot at Apple when the founders actually worked for Atari and made the first Apple out of Atari parts. Once again, Atari management was not interested.
Atari could have fueled the console games off it's computer division if it only had only made a few key decisions differently.
Atari should have also reviewed the fact that people did not want poor quality games for $30. The overstock of ET should have been a warning sign about this.

Nintendo would have come out sooner.
Next question.

Since your heading to Germany,
any chance you can help out with the Thrust DC tread (sticky) in this forum?
