  1. I'm not sure about what is "best to own" but I do enjoy these dedicated consoles and collect them as well. I get 'em for as cheap as I can find 'em. so I am prone to miss a lot of bids I like the Atari/Sears consoles, when surfing ebay look to see if a power adapter is in the pic, it's a 6v (six volt) "battery eliminator" with an 1/8" mono jack, a NIB one can be purchased @ Best electronics for I think $20.oo+shipping I like the first model of these like Atari C-100 or Sears 625796 the players have to sit RIGHT next to each other , the speaker inside the unit allows you to feel a ball hit & does sort of transpose that vibration though the paddle knob to the screen I don't think any Atari/Sears ones have a lght gun though if your looking for that as well Coleco Telstar gun seems pretty solid Radio Shack gun seems pretty flimsy IMO DON'T walk into a bank with either of these ones though !!!! I don't have any Magnavox pongs , I think the earlier models you have to manually keep score with a slider.
  2. Pinball league started again in Southern NH for me .... fun times also this weekend visted a barcade & a comic book store with some machines in there in Portland Maine.
  3. I have all 3 in the poll but use the actual hardware the 10 in 1 Plug n' play you mentioned in first post was my introduction to Gravitar so I was thankful for that
  4. must be by zipcode, I'm on North-East Coast first one for me was $107.15 2'nd, $18.50 3'rd $82.45 I'm not sure how ebay calculates shipping I don't necessarily think all it's the sellers doings
  5. FunSpot is great , but the other place is an hour closer ...you'll have to stop by them both in one trip I'm not a fighter game guy, but there is a whole row of them Oh I just heard about a place In Salem Ma. http://www.willowsarcade.com/, I need to check that place out, I was told they have some of the old EM pinball tables
  6. http://www.pinballwizardarcade.com/( Pelham NH) may be a little closer than http://www.funspotnh.com/ for you even closer is http://lanesgames.com/gameroom.html(not sure when website was updated last) bowling ally on Rte. 2 in Cambridge. The arcade has mebbe 8 of the newest Stern pinball tables , I don't recall what arcade cabs they had last time I went the Ghost Busters table was there , Game of Thrones (pro) Kiss , AC/DC , Iron Man, Tron, Star Trek , think a bubble hockey as well.
  7. timed "pindemtion" I think there is a selector for regular play or tickets (but not fully sure)
  8. ok I think there was some added info since I first posted they must have just grabbed the ISBN# & making sales from there
  9. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Art-of-Atari-by-Tim-Lapetino-Ernest-Cline-and-Robert-V-Conte-FREE-2DAY-SHIP-/112063289177?hash=item1a177e1759:g:F9UAAOSw4q9XT7DO is this legit ?
  10. well I can't make it to the show .... I'm in the USA great way to release your title & hope you have a great time how will orders be placed after the show do you speculate ? through PM here ?
  11. yeah you may be right ... I only have two controllers , 1 of each ( not sure about Mexico stamp) is possible the standard boot handle isn't pushed on all the way
  12. I believe the stick height should be the same ... the boots are different though http://www.best-electronics-ca.com/cx52_j.htm it would just need to be pressed down more
  13. I would like one as well , I just completed a Vectrex cib collection & would be a great brew to start with. looks fantastic with the overlays and all
  14. yeah looks like hot melt glue , guessing the strain relief bent or broke wrapping wire tightly around it ... I keep my wall warts in plug strips that I can turn off when not in use .... if you didn't do repair yourself to know if there is copper showing or not you may wish to try & pick some of that out to see and lightly tug on wire .... I used a "C" clamp to open one before , or a vice will work .... reassembling afterwards didn't look to good as the shell didn't break cleanly along the seam , if I had a clean break I may have re-assembled using an epoxy

    Video problem

http://atariage.com/forums/topic/184296-slowcoders-guide-to-cleaning-up-your-2600/ Activision carts are more difficult to clean at times ... wrights copper clean should be at your local grocery store the games are always great though so well worth tinkering with

    Video problem

yeah looks like a dirty or bad cart ... http://atariage.com/howto/clean_cartridges.html use a high percentage rubbing alcohol like 90% also while cart is still wet with the stuff run cart in & out of slot a few times to help clean that too ...on your hosting site , there are "share links" ... the "IMG" link is for forums

    Sears Telegames

I think there's a question of if they ever were sealed ... back then Sears would keep their stock behind a glass case & a store clerk would assist you
  18. I know this is a silly question , but is there a game in it ? did you clean the cart & wiggle that around ? ... that was the problem with my 4 switch , just the cart slot was dirty ( or the game )
  19. it took me two days to get my placard off ... also a couple of the Phillip screws heads were drilled I think as a "security measure" .... I had a broken spring but cleaned both pots while I was in there anyone find a source of the self centering pots used ?
  20. I would suspect a dirty pin #5 on controller from the pics in this post http://atariage.com/forums/topic/204268-7800-games-that-should-have-existed/?p=3046112 safety pin & some rubbing alcohol inside the barrel might fix you up there ... the placard is very difficult to remove to keep intact , so patients there if it is something internal also try a 2 player/2 controller game like Armor Ambush in 2'nd controller port to rule-out the connector on console
  21. member Philflound has been archiving these for awhile http://www.videogamevariations.com/AtariCompanies/AtariGames/Breakout/breakoutcartridges.htm pretty neat all the variants
  22. yeah pics are fun \o/ most forums use "BB Code" and there are buttons above that will help when you reply ( it's how I posted the the image you had hosted in earlier post)
  23. this post http://atariage.com/forums/topic/227627-trak-ball-help/?p=3041135& a couple posts down may be helpful repairing one a really neat controller to have for the 5200
  24. twenty bucks ain't bad for the education it bought you & bringing you to our fine site. again I don't know what equipment is involved with assembling the board & printing the label. the time it took assembling also not bad if your enjoying the gameplay. I think one thing Voltman is doing is making repro's of homebrew ports and selling them at starting bids of what you could get them for at the Atariage store ... I hadn't purchased anything personally from him myself but I do check the ID of the user I am buying from
  25. I would suppose a reproduction ... I don't know all the time & effort to make such a thing but if listed on Ebay or anywhere it should have been listed as such ...have "Hozer carts" become "collectable" yet ?
