  1. the gemini (atari clone) joystick may work, for two player paddle games though there was a wye adapter the arcade ports would my best guess for games to use Pac Man , Pole Position , Missile Command , Space Invaders , Donkey Kong , Food Fight, Kangaroo, Popeye, Berzerk, Time Pilot, Joust , Breakout, Circus Atari to name a few ... looking at that wiki page I noticed the flashback 2 has a controller test feature .... now I haz to get one good luck with the project
  2. thread-jack alert: dunno if this is of interest: at the moment it's the best scan I have available everywhere I looked I only saw all white text (here & Atarimania) end labels were the same as elsewhere & game screen same (when I had it)
  3. the 2600 version is the only one I've played when it was new , I enjoyed it quite a bit ... but you do need a manual to know how to play !!! there's one in here http://atariage.com/forums/topic/114509-desperately-wanted-manual-scans/
  4. it wobbles side to side , or does it not seem to spring back up to top position if side to side perhaps the metal housing isn't fully seated correctly on the board if not springing back to top correctly , perhaps the spring isn't fully inside the switch ( I had to reassemble mine first time because of this ) some good images here how to dis-assemble re-assemble said switches ... http://atariage.com/forums/topic/184296-slowcoders-guide-to-cleaning-up-your-2600/
  5. bring thats 3'rd donkey kong cart or another combat or something to make sure their console works first
  6. unreleased Ultravision titles ? http://www.atarihq.com/2678/3party/ultravis.html
  7. that little metal is the contact strip inside the switch there is a spring in there too & looks from 3'rd pic it may be loose also good instructions how to clean & fix said problems here ( keep them round dust covers on handles (no more available @ Best Electronics )
  8. no soldering needed if you follow these steps: http://atariage.com/forums/topic/184296-slowcoders-guide-to-cleaning-up-your-2600/ you can get NOS switches from Best Electronics , I had to do this because I snapped the handles off mine years ago & lost the peices ... the new switches don't seem to have the same tactile feel of the originals ...even in my "Vader" unit I think they sell the whole populated upper board cheaper than if you bought all switches individually also should you go that route I may be wrong about price http://www.best-electronics-ca.com/2600_Tech_Tips.htm yeah getting that spring back in there is tricky !!! ... I sent my old snapped switches off to France with the springs in them for another member here , they were quite pleased & I was happy they were of good use
  9. well being an American I just figured it was specifically designed to cater to me when we me up in chat you mentioned you just completed the project & I liked the sound of the concept of lowering the score to Zero , the fitting title of the game & the description you gave in the first post of the thread. after download completion & transferring to Harmony SD card ... I had some guests stop in & was hoping to give it a trial run that way ( both of us experiencing the game at the same time ) ... was the first time I tried a PAL game in my NTSC console/TV .... I wonder if it would work on a region-free TV they make now-a-days .... trying to troubleshoot I thought perhaps the download got corrupted in transfer & all then saw your location under the screen-shot/avatar still having guests I just gave it a real quick glimpse with Stella to determine download was ok I don't normally score high on games ....so this one may be perfect for me I'll certainly give it another go in the near future it might give me a good excuse to get one of these .... http://home.comcast.net/~tjhafner/2600-daptor.htm
  10. trying not to go off topic..... Pelham NH. http://www.pinballwizardarcade.com/games/ she has some games not at Funspot .... notably 5 different "Street fighter" variations & a Fix-it Felix she made (on freeplay) some of her Pinball machines are Brand new & you need 4 tokens to play .... Groupon might be able to get half off on tokens http://www.groupon.com/deals/pinball-wizard-arcade?utm_source=Google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=US_DT_SEA_GGL_TXT_TTT_SR_CBP_CH1_NBR_k*pinball%20wizard%20arcade_m*e_d*US-RTC-Boston_g*pinball-wizard-arcade_c*29768909896_ap*1t1 ... back on topic print some of these up too ... at times they award 50 tokens instead of the 25 with purchase of $20.00 http://funspotnh.com/coupon.htm
  11. tried it on my Harmony with NTSC heavy sixer in USA ahhhhhhhh the screen rolls on all 3 builds with my Harmony the screen looks fantastic on Stella but I get hung-up on keyboard controls can you make an NTSC build ? ( I have no idea how that is done)
  12. Thanks for verifying the even dates & stuff .... after I posted I noticed "June" wasn't mentioned the 2'nd link will lead you to the list of games they have .... My first experience: .... I didn't know what to expect really , I thought it would be a real grudge-match as depicted in King of Kong movie. I first walked in , sunk a coin in one of the tournament machines BEFORE it started .... so Huge guy 'bout 6'6" with a deep & commanding voice to me it hadn't started yet & I needed to register. I was a bit intimidated as my skill level isn't really at any serious competitive level. I thought I'd just observe. the registration fee seemed reasonable as they pretty much give you your money back in tokens. it IS serious competition , some travel from across the globe to be there & World Records were set last year. it was an honor to be a part I left the competition with a sense of satisfaction that my own gaming improved & could improve even more I thought I could have logged a better score but my last game started to late ( it was a timed game "Night Driver" ) the competition ended before my game would have ended ( which didn't help with my concentration I'm looking for more pointers ... not so much , "how do I memorize all 255 lavels of game X" but how to keep a cool head & avoid carpel tunnel syndrome pushing buttons I only live about an hour & forty minutes From Fun Spot so I feel pretty lucky ... the last tournament was my 3'rd visit to the place
  13. those links point to last years event ... I would suspect they will have the "16'th annual event for 2014" but the dates may be different .... just found this: http://www.aurcade.com/events/view.aspx?id=127 last year was my first tournament & I had a great time although I was there only the first & last day & didn't know what to expect at all I remember the entry fee was $60.00 US , the first one hundred applicants got the tee-shirt & they gave you 250 tokens ( a $50.00 value ) with some other kick-nacks so the entry fee pretty much balances what you'd spend on tokens I'm looking forward to attending again I hope above info will help others with their planning
  14. bought something special from her,for my Atari 2600 & it was very well taken care of & packaged very securely, my only gripe is that the newspaper used wasn't from the comic section Thanks
  15. shot a PM ... guess I'll just have to guess on teh size
  16. I liked Stellar Track when it first came out , & I still like it today ... certainly not a "must have game" though unless your collecting someone listed it as "10 Games Worse than E.T." ... at the end he's states he's going by "looks" & also states its a strategy game 0:55 - 2:33 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KwoUt-AGW3c
  17. bought something from pongbat77 's sales thread it arrived quickly & nicely packaged ... he has excellent Ebay & Amazon feedback ( he mentioned in his sales thread ) & offers great communication.
  18. the measurements I gave were "inside" measurements of the upper white drawers (the space I was using) ... I guess they use the "OUTSIDE" measurement ...the space the whole unit would take up .... the white ones I have have Sterilte embossed on the top of them and have the same outside dimensions as the red ones below them .... however the red ones have thicker plastic under the drawer itself (making the drawer shallower ... ) the Red on to the right haz an "M-Network cart inside it next to an Imagic cart to show how close it misses it by so it looks like the sale ones & the container store ones are the same as my Red ones .... fitting everything except M-Network & Xonox Imagic carts fit ok
  19. this fellow might like teh storage block http://atariage.com/forums/topic/212753-wtbwttf-atari-cart-storage-blue-label-variants-7800-power-brick/
  20. will need to know your size .... http://www.depend.com/products/get-samples?WT.mc_id=DPY&WT.srch=1
  21. I found some that I think are discontinued from Sterlite they measure 4.5" x 6.75" x 13.5" they are a bit deeper than the ones the OP mentioned & I'm looking for some moar M-Network carts will fit side by side with an Xonox cart (but messes up my alphabetizing ) also Imagic carts fit fine as well they fit 34 carts & shaped just a bit differently (5200 carts fit fine in the other ones)
  22. I imagine follow the cuircuit through the console with your multimeter start with power supply itself , then connector inside then the switch I haven't cracked open a 7800 yet ... I heard DO BE CAREFUL re-assembling it ... the screw pedestals are easily broken off if over-tightened I'd use my nose also to try & tell what part "smoked"
  23. prolly did it when Monkey-Wards went outta bid-ness
  24. look close , you can see down bottom has been blacked-out
