http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h1cqrIYlXm8 some of the FUN ones to play ... Spider fighter , Kaboom! , Seaquest, Circus Atari, Snoopy, Ms Pac-man (the better of the two) , Phoenix, Space Invaders, Berzerk, Asteroids. I haven't played all that are in your pics I'm surprised NOT to see "Combat" ... also surprised not at-least 3 of them be a good time to post vid to youtube & share the joy with us all

I like the conceptual design ... a character whose name is coincidentally named buy how they see the world they live in. "Ping" also a bit of educational value here ... how bats see using radar ... what they eat, their natural enemies, their habitat ( I had to google 'bout teh Owls ) I voted for #2 : I stink at games & need teh kiddie levels like stated in upper right hand corner of some commercially produced boxes I dunno if possible to have both versions with game select between the two ...

the full editor is kinda cool ... I ain't tried out all the buttons yet, but I'm getting there

well I can understand your being upset ..... let the ONE other member who you made a transaction with have the opportunity to respond I hope the TWO of you can work it out. I am posting here to better help myself in how discrepancies can be resolved in these forums & so far my experience has been good at Atari Age .... the last thing ViciousTengu has been able to post is that he was pleased with you, Future Primative give him an opportunity to explain what happened to PayPal again I hope the best
-
I'm hoping it is just a misunderstanding ...maybe he reverced a wrong payment or something .... I DO hope it is resolved & you get your money ... from the feedback it seems he was happy & games must have worked ... from tracking they have arrived 3 days before he posted feedback .... usually takes me that long to test games & log-in , post feedback ect. I want both parties to be happy here !!!!!
-
he did post good feedback .... http://atariage.com/forums/topic/211200-future-primitive/?do=findComment&comment=2744978 hope it all works for the best for the both of you ...

Small Craigslist Atari 8 bit find to share
chas10e replied to Scooter83's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
those AREN'T Racing paddles but still nice pics & GREAT find \o/ -
those contacts look pretty slimy ... sometimes 91% alcohol isn't enough to clean 'em pencil eraser or a metal polish typical of an Activision cart to need cleaning

sorry for confusion .... the imgur link wasn't allowed when I tried to use it ... I just re-hosted it the adapter works (mine does anyways)

I saw this from original post and should work screwed to coax jack on TV OP's link .... An error occurred You are not allowed to use that image extension on this community.

is it possible your TV is looking for a digital signal & not an analog signal ... might be in menu setting ... does your NES or Genesis work on these channels? if not..... trying to rule out the obvious http://www.atariguide.com/pdfs/Atari_2600_VCS_Domestic_Field_Service_Manual.pdf

I just checked mine ... says 14.08 V ... thats without a load so it's prolly normal did you contact the seller ... maybe he has a replacement for you ... I Imagine if you open it up for further diagnostics it'll void teh warranty the sticker on the bottom may say there are no serviceable parts inside if you do open it up perhaps it was opened before & they forgot to plug the TV signal cable back in when re-assembling ... check with meter the connector where power comes in ... there is also a transistor screwed to a heat-sink ...TBH I'm a bit fuzzy on how to test that but will investigate further myself ... there's a service manual someplace with a diagnostic flowchart should you decide to go this route
-
it should be a 9v power supply ... does it have the Atari Emblem on it ? ... if not it may be a 3'rd party & possible wrong polarity (center pin should be positive) you should see some change on the screen even if it is a dead game cart with all you described trying to get it to work it should ... I dunno what sellers return policy is ... probably you pay return shipping otherwise get a multimeter should be able to find one under ten bucks , that light bulb should have burned out after a bright flash

How to verify a true legitimate factory sealed atari 2600 game?

my Racing Pak came with 2 controllers in their own box only the manuals are missing ... I'm assuming pic labels on the carts so the white manual variants I've seen this pak on ebay with both text labels & black manuals, pictured labels w/ white manuals

I recall now the board is held into the bottom of the outer case still by some very tight fitting plastic nubs ( I was very nervous as I was lifting it ... they are alignment pins .... steady pressure & a bit of wiggling released it. .... I may have put a bit of lubicant on the pins ... very lower left & right corners of board ... can see the holes in pic above ---------------------------------------- I took the cartridge out of my unit & powered it up getting a black screen.... you should have a red LED light under the power button either way
-
while I'm not a big fan of Outlaw ... how did you come across it ? what made you excited to play? you mentioned a review, was it the rarity guide here @ aa ? did you try & play alone ?... it being really a two player game might affect your game rating ... perhaps you'll beable to revisit the game with another or different player & have a better time with them Freeway: another two player competing game ... if played single player I agree it's quite "meh" compared to Frogger ... but side by side competition play is quite fun (even though I lose ) Adventure games I'm not a fan of either like the Pitfalls , but wildly popular amongst others whatever you do don't run out & get gunslinger !

there is an RF Sheild on the bottom of the board as well ... those tabs are attached to that sheild and feed through the board. the tumbnail looks like you miseed a couple lower left & upper right in by heatsink start in one corner with screwdriver just to get some movement ... the suck tabs will reveal themselves as you work around perimeter .... get blade under & twist just a bit ... forcing it will make it probably imossible to put back on after I got both my sheilds off , I teporarily re-assembled them off the board just so everything would stay in line ... a couple of the tabs did break just from straightening ... but my console was rusted pretty bad there. Black screen could also be a dirty or dead cart .... just to rule things out EDIT: just looked @ pic again .... looks like some pins on gameport are bent (possably dirty as well)

my dead copy of Fast Eddie (pics for the curious inside)
chas10e replied to Kulp's topic in Atari 2600
is it possible a multimeter with a 9v battery can damage a good IC chip checking for continuity ? I have had a few dead carts come up & getting pretty good @ removing labels with a hair dryer ... I put the labels on wax paper in the hopes I will be re-applying to a repaired cart ... I have had a few carts where q-tipping didn't work , but dis-assembling & using "Wrights Copper Cleaner" got rid of a thick film of stuff thats almost ipossible to see with assembled cart Elmers rubber cement to re-apply label after cleaning both label & cart ... cement applied to both label & cart as well. my latest dead cart is Coleco's "Carnival" ... haz a capacitor in it ... think I need to get a cap tester for fun -
At least 181 reasons to love my collection
chas10e replied to atari181's topic in Show Us Your Collection!
I wonder if a book conservationist might beable to look into it ... heating & freezing to get the two labels loose without damage ... just a though -
met up in chat, digging through our closets we worked up a trade along with some moniez he sent for something I found in teh wild for him. is a fun & interactive fellow. I'm looking forward to more transactions in the future

imma have to play some I guess. I thought it may be due to battle damage but it says nothing in the manual concerning short range view you mentioned it NOT happening in your sixer or 7800 , or on another system ... what console DOES it happen on ? (this is posted in 2600 section so I'm assuming a 2600) I have a few copies I can test as well as a couple different consoles ... not to mention it IS A FUN GAME
