yeah same voltage & power rating ( I have used the Atari adapter on mine as well )

So the paddle knob on the VCS version is unnecessary?
on the VCS port of Steeplechase the paddle adjusts the height thehorse will jump. you can always set to max height but will affect the time. a shorter time will win the race
I would love to play the arcade version

-
perhaps re-flowing solder or cleaning the tuning pot , I also wonder if oxidation on the cable that plugs into the RF box is the culprit
nice find
I would suspect you'd need to clean the paddle pot for the breakaway games as well
-
I'd be down for a boxed copy if made available

I just wanna know what is going on and what I should do?
if you have some jitter free paddles, play Kaboom!
you should beable to bring it to the attention of the store owner & perhaps get another Megamania hopefully keeping the Kaboom before he just tosses it in the trash

mine works on the 7800 I have.
It doesn't surprise me since a lot 7800's have all sorts of odd issues . The game might work on a different 7800 .
I hadn't opened 7800 up to see any board revision or anything , it DOESN'T have the expansion port on the side or anything. any post listing the differnt revisions of the 7800 ?

I haven't tried mine in my 7800 I usually play it @ Christmas time in a Vader unit but will give it a spin to see what happens

from an old thread ...
http://atariage.com/forums/topic/194389-c-380-video-pinball-button-replacement/?p=3272436
Adding to this thread about the power button switch for the C-380. These are available at Best Electronics: "the New Atari C-380 Locking / latch On/Off Switches are in stock. Cost is only U$D 3.95 each."

I don't know what the part # is I think Bradly has a 20.00 minimum order

That's good to know. Thanks for clarifying.
Perhaps,chas10e, you didn't download the entire archive? Would that be right?

at the time I thought I snagged the whole thing as is was loaded but I may have just selected the *.mp4 files
some reason nothing is uploading of what I have , I have an open port & a firewall exception , I reset "bans" in my torrent client , it did re-seed quite a bit but redownloading the *.torrent file reset all the stats I had on it
-
I am downloading the *.torrent version , you can do selective downloading with most torrent clients
total it's 58.8 GB
the size of the file-set had changed from when I first downloaded it I think adding redundant file types
I still got the *.mp4 files and still seeding (loaded the whole *.torrent file to see if I get the whole thing

Coast City Comics good pinball, couple arcade cabs, retro game sales, collectables, naturally comics

Strange Maine record store with some good retro games to buy
Bull Moose Music chain of record stores with some retro games not listed on their web site ( N.Windham & Scarborough may be better than others)

mebbe try & clean up them connections on the left side of the board (2 whites & red) looks like some work had been done to them
looking again the red video wire on the right looks like there is a blob of solder bridging a component on the other side of board ( I am not sure if it's supposed to be that way or not, (perhaps it does) on mine I can see a trace that connects to something

I check the individual batteries with a volt meter ( OCD
)yeah I snagged most all my PNP's @ thrift store where ever I could find 'em for about that price *coughs (Hoarder)
my only complaint with the unit is the button is on the wrong side of stick for Galaga , especially the bonus rounds
-
the one I have has is solid blue on top . IMO probably the most solid built PNP of them all
fresh batteries, clean battery terminals if a previous set of batteries corroded (white vinegar / baking soda / q-tips)
if above ok, try bending the cable up or down where it enters the unit, it may reveal conductor broke inside cable
also do you have component connection on TV? (yellow) or is it R-B-G ?
I hadn't disassembled this particular unit before.
I hope others can chime in with any more advice

is it this one ?
