seems like a really nice start for a collection with some great games.
I always link this for cleaning the system: http://atariage.com/forums/topic/184296-slowcoders-guide-to-cleaning-up-your-2600/?p=2316794paddles will need to be "jitter free" for Kaboom!
let us know about any extra goodies he may have found

some good stuff about cleaning your console & controllers here. http://atariage.com/forums/topic/184296-slowcoders-guide-to-cleaning-up-your-2600/
some good stuff here too: http://atariage.com/howto/index.html
for modding, shipping will probably be the killer to and from your location. what general location are you ? shop wisely look at "user feedback" in forums ect.
old CRT TV's look great with these consoles IMO and doesn't have to be huge

interesting the rectangle contacts on the PCB, the CX-10's I have have the round(er) dome contacts
I found this thread here about the style you have, http://atariage.com/forums/topic/189382-inside-an-early-cx10/

the link above shows an adapter to use instead of the original switchbox

-
does your TV have a coax cable connection on the back ?
if so as JeremiahK said use that. in the source menu you may have "air" or "digital cable" options
does your heavy sixer have a channel select switch ? it it probably on channel 3 already but may be set to channel 2 sometime you have to have the TV set to search for these channels
if no coax connection on TV go the VCR route
keep us posted

Ah, but what system does it run on? Atari or Intellivision?
could be a double ender , same game works on either a 2600 or an INTV
combat poker sounds cool
-
somehow I don't think will work as good as the invention of the Peanutbutter Cup
-
a previouse attempt of finding some random sized thing
was really tight in a homebrew I had got
the tray liners are perfect for original boxes but had to trim it just a bit off the top & bottom for Deathchase/NOX, sleeves were great for this release as well as I had peeled the white protective layer off to use them

I like the plastic tray liner as well 'cause it's easier to get to the cart.

Will be looking forward to a playable demo. I know a guy who's pretty good at this game

made 2 separate orders with MortoffGames, one for Starplex controller replacement decal & other for Vectrex box tray & overlay sleeves
all reasonably priced. both came through quickly and in great shape.
-
Got mine the other day and they are working out great !!!
-
It would be cool to see this vacuum form re-scaled to fit Atariage boxes and carts , I would imagine the AA logo would be appropriate also

-
shot you a PM ,
Awesome !!!
EDIT this should also be in "marketplace"

needs to put his website in his signature

Be kinda cool to have some sort of way to make them interchangeable like "colorforms"
perhaps a clear label to cover the origonal and interchangeable on top of that.
thanks for making me one anyways

-
placed an order for one
Who owns the Space Rocks artwork? I'd pay for a couple of Space Rocks decals.

I think Spiceware made the game and would need his blessing
I think Nathan Strum did "Star Castle" https://atariage.com/store/index.php?l=product_detail&p=1046and it'd be cool to have a Starplex overlay for that game

don't think it was designed for 2600 games
http://thevideostoreshopper.com/universal-game-case/universal-game-case-|-full-sleeve-insert/
The versatile case will accommodate: Nintendo 64, Super NES, Sega Genesis, Dreamcast & Sony Playstation, Electronic Arts and CD formats with and without jewel case.
try those carts and see how the tabs work
-
my first suggestion would be to hook it up get some friends together & play way past your hands cramping-up

next maybe put on craigslist with a "will be gone next weekend" sort of thing then off to Goodwill if needs be
The cut on that thing with the exposed PCB looks way too clean to be a broken M-Network cart.
yeah that's the bottom half of a disassembled M-Network Cart .... the part that goes into the slot
Maybe its the bottom to super challenge?
if you blow-up the pic you can see the bottom half of Super Challenge Football so it's another game ( or a dupe
) I will guess Armor Ambush 'cause these guessing games are fun

I kind of wonder if something like this would work ... http://www.ebay.com/itm/10Pcs-XH2-54-2Pin-Pitch-Leads-Header-Socket-Connector-DIP-90-Degree-Angle-PCB-/262350618883?epid=1663056496&hash=item3d1550c103:g:HNUAAOSwxp9W86Tb

explained in this thread: http://atariage.com/forums/topic/270476-atari-2600-7800-n-xe/

yeah it's the "tall boot" version

I think there was a thread or something about this as to the ideas on why these were different
-
they used 2 prong plugs on everything in there .... is it back on the right spot ?
there are also some very thin wires on the speaker itself
I have gotten a pong unit with a bad speaker before, the spare speaker I had worked (now I haz no spare )
-
I wondered if they were simply period standard bicycle hand grips but I see a groove on the inside
I don't have any extra's sorry
-
I wonder if reflowing all the solder joints under the IC chip would help.
my eyesight is bad and I usually don't see a cracked solder joint. is that a big capacitor to the left of the IC? is that joint ok ?
seems odd you get a good picture but the whole game doesn't appear
