  1. ok rev 1 pcb are in so i tested with this steering wheel mod... the video is a little bit cappy since i was alone i will try to shoot a better one when my wife will be home... you can see the point everything is possible
  2. i made one with eagle i'm waiting for it... i dont put to much hope on the first rev since i'm not to good with this kind of stuff.. if it work i will share like i did with the parker brother pcb
  3. ok here a little update .. i used an atari plug n play and installed a rotary encoder inside ... it works with 4 AA battery...
  4. i did a quick breadboard for the ic part and it works https://youtu.be/xSgy-dbJ9b0
  5. here the diagram... http://www.le-grenier-informatique.fr/pages/la-collection-d-objets/colecovision-expansion-module-2.html there is nothing you cant find
  6. for the first test I only used the rotary encoder direct to the colecovision .. to be sure to not damage the colecovision controller chip i think i will use the steering wheel pcb desing...
  7. i found a good rotary encoder with more cycle than the steering wheel and its small enough to build a paddle... this encoder have 90 pulse by rotation so more than the steering wheell 72 pulse by rotation and easy to find here the resulte of the labscope test i will try to build a simple proto paddle and share result
  8. it's bigger in size but if it fit well inside the case it's a really good option since it's half the price of the cfm40
  9. i use this one for years inside my cv http://ca.mouser.com/Search/m_ProductDetail.aspx?Cincon/CFM40T-01/&qs=a9HUcNGsM2BO67El0yNmhQ==
  10. there is no way to play sgm game with bluemsx the best you can achive its to play the sound chip of the sgm plus 24k ram you cant emulate the lower 8k of ram
  11. you dump the game from the cart or you got the rom from collectorvision (Beta tester) cause on the cart the decoding is not the same as the others 128k game so the dump dont work properly... or you have to open the cart dump the chip and than edit the file to change the banck switching address....after that it will work on atarimax and coolcv... or they release 2 version of the game?
  12. hummmm so far the only game that can't be dump are gradius peinguin adventure and kung fu master.... if you have problem with other game its bad dump...
  13. there is the standard controller edition by team pixelboy http://cvaddict.com/profile.php?gameid=309
  14. seems to be a bad vram chip..dont put game in turn the coleco on and compare to repaire manual to find the bad vram chip... http://www.colecovisionzone.com/photos/coleco/colecovision%20tech8.pdf
  15. as you can see my english is not really good so if you look at the diagram the transistor are on off switch for the 6v batt... when the coleco is on the orange wire is high so transistor let the power from the battery pass trough... the coleco need both signal on purple and white wire its the way he knows if you turn left or right... my goal is more to have a padle than a steering wheel but both project could be achive at the same time... the only thing we need its a small rotary encoder with enough complet cycle in one rotation... it should be easier in the steering wheel project since you have more space to work...you can use gear to change the ratio and have more complet cycle in one complet rotation
  16. ok today i did more test so to work properly we need external power Source to have a stable signal... with out power source it work with turbo but very bad with game like mindwall... i found a little doubler pcb on ebay now its waiting game...
  17. i use those little rotary encoder in my video https://www.ebay.ca/itm/171906808593 the problem is the number of pulse in one rotation this is why i need a doubler circuit and a way to be sure to not fry the fragile cv controller chip...
  18. i dont really know how the vetrecx controller works but if it use digital pulse like this maybe it could be rewired to work with the colecovision
  19. try this link should work now https://youtu.be/4ZdpCELU51E
  20. last year i was working on a padle project and i let the project down since i dont have time to work on this... i know i have nice hand😉 this little pcb with dual reluctor work with out any power source but since it so little my plan was to make a signal multiplier circuit but this pcb will need a external power... i think guys like dave, brian or harvey could build it in no time
