Way to go Darrin ... This is a cool achievement that is quite difficult to get as December is always a busy month. I find already difficult to post 12 days in a row...

Carol vs. The World 2014 Championship

My score for the day. I little bit too short of the yellows. At least, I made it to the triple digit levels. Oscar G. - 9463 points -

Liduario has a technique to successfully lure the snowman out of the garden by using the tunnels. You may want to check one of his videos. Cheers! -
Carol vs. The World 2014 Championship

I agree, I find it very difficult to take a screenshot with the Carol progression as there is literally no time to take the picture after the Bonus points are awarded. To make the card of two posts ago I had to take screenshots of pauses of gameplay video. -

I think those yellow snowflakes are "cute" graphical glitches. I have seen them as well specially in the Snow Flake garden level as things tend to get quite hectic there. My nieces affectionately call these graphical glitches "Carol's farts" as sometimes they appear just behind Carol -

Congratulations on the achievement! If I remember well only the cart version of the game has the special Perfect Xmas message. -

This is an illustrated version of the quasi-perfect Xmas. I missed one candy on level 14 this is the reason why I am 41 points short (the lonely candy plus the 40 points of the perfect) Cheers. -

If I remember well, it should be 1798 (two cents short of 1.8K). I will have to double check though. Cheers. -

And speaking about the new achievements. Wouldn't be a good idea to have an achievement to encourage people playing together? In our family it is a tradition to play Carol on Xmas day. Cheers to all! -

Some achievements for my niece and myself as we had a training session to discuss Carol Strategy some days ago. We used an original Master Component. The training session worked out for both of us as we eventually climbed the Elf ladder Cheers to all! -
Don't bump the table too much or you will lose movement of the flippers. Cheers and best wishes!

Kill Screen on Xmas Day -
Nudging (or shaking) the pinball machine is possible and allows you to save the ball sometimes. Do not over do it though

I love pinball and I have just recently started to play this game (thanks to the HSC). I use the keypad buttons to control the flippers as I find them more responsive and intuitive. Hitting the ball with timing allows you to perform very cool tricks.

I have a similar strategy to Jason's. However, once I am inside the garden I pick up first the yellow gift. I time the picking up of the yellow gift in such a way that I send the ghost out of the garden. Then I flutter to the rest of the gifts by going from snowflake to snowflake. Timing is the key in this stage. In the same way as you play with the ghost by keeping him outside of the garden with your picking up of snowflakes. You pick up the yellow gift in the top center right after you get in. NEVER, pick up this gift if the ghost is right below you as the ghost will be attracted. Pick it up while the ghost is moving and aligned towards the exit so he goes out of the garden right after you pick up the gift. Then do not pick up other gifts right away as you will call back the ghost. Time your picking up of gifts / snowflakes inside the garden in such a way that you leave the ghost / snowman out. Good luck! O -
Thank you for the answer. It makes total sense. For a moment I thought about an equivalent of the FX chip on the SNES

I am posting a picture with some perfect screens that I have achieved (all levels). I guess this will earn me an achievement. Now I have to get all the perfects in one go and get a Perfect Xmas Cheers. O -
Great project. Thanks for sharing. I have a question though (I am not a technical person): Will this PCB permit to have more "powerful" games in the future?
