Hey guys, I found this old tread via google. I have fond memories of this game and I wanted to know which version really does justice to the arcade original and music. I used to play the C64 version and I was mesmerised by the music. Recently I got the NES version and I was not that impressed. Perhaps the C64 sound chip made the music majestic. Thanks for the advice about the GBA and Xbox live version. I will try to track them out. Cheers.

I totally agree with Jason. I find extremely cute that notes from the past appear on manuals. After all, these are items that are not new. They are all used and because of that they carry a story with them. I also have found magazine clippings with hints attached to manuals. Another cool thing to find is hand written maps. I have treasured some of these extra findings inside games. The notes on the manual tell that somebody at least actually played and perhaps enjoyed the game. I am pretty sure that many collectors (for many reasons) don't play the game at all. A game is meant to be played and enjoyed and a used game may carry the evidence of that. Perhaps Ignorama should not worry about the notes too much and see the item with different eyes. Cheers, Oscar PS I loved Ignorama's note about playing Astrosmash to deal with the frustration. That's the spirit! Did you manage to get a good score? Playing is therapeutic.

I mentioned this already in a previous posting but I might as well repeat it here. Intv collecting follows "exactly" the 80-20 Pareto Principle. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pareto_principle 80 percent of your games will drain only 20 percent of your resources. The last 20 percent (which is exactly after you hit the 100 game mark) will eventually represent 80 percent of your investment. Which means steep slope ahead! But as Voltron and MJArnold mentioned this is the fun part Good luck, enjoy and don't forget to play the games that you get

KO #2 - Round #6 - Bump 'n Jump

This game's music always makes me feel happy. Ah... the passing of the seasons and the colours. Too much sugar-coated road rage and violence. Love it! -

Improved my score but I still cannot break the "psychological" barrier of the 200k... Too much pressure... Cheers! Oscar G. - 168,948 points -
Hello guys, I was checking out David Harley's website and I saw this game announced. http://www.intellivision.us/intvgames/tennis/tennis.php The game looks like the fantastic Intellivision Tennis but with 1 player option! I think that Tennis was one of the best sport games for the INTV and I always dreamed about playing it 1 player. I am wondering if anyone has played this game and if it really delivers the promise of a 1 player Intelliivision tennis. Thank you! PS By the way Super Chef Burgertime was also announced. I guess this is the Beefdrop clone that David introduced some months ago.

Someone please help me set up Intellivision emulator
Oscar G. replied to Rev's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
Thanks Liduario. The instructions are clear. There is a graphical interface for JZintv. It is for Mac computers. It is called GUI INTV and a Google search may find it. Cheers. -
March...a good month for pickups!

Nice items. MMM I did not know that there were Activision fake-patches... My understanding is that there are many "originals" around. I think that there has been plenty of NOS (new old stock) recently found. Beautiful items tough. Cheers! -
CMart... do you have any exotic INTV variants?
-
MMM... I don't think that the INTV was distributed in the Ukraine (see below) Dendys then

Hello guys, Since I was taking pictures of the Blue Book and the Fan Club Newsletter I decided to take a couple of extra ones of some Manual Variations that have not been registered on the Intellivision Fun House website. I particularly like the Microsurgeon manual as it has its own artwork inside. It looks like an anatomy textbook. Does anyone have any other ones? Cheers, Oscar

KO #2 - Round #5 - AD&D Tarmin
Oscar G. replied to cparsley's topic in Intellivision High Score Club
MMM... Sorry to hear about the problems with the emulation. Indeed it seems there is a problem similar to the emulation on the Intellivision Lives DS Version. I played with emulation JZINTV with the GUI Mac and it ran fine. Nonetheless congratulations for passing the round despite emulation adversity. Cheers, Oscar -

What a coincidence! I have been thinking about this very same topic for some time now. I finally found a modder here in Europe who might be able to help making what I called the "Super Controller" (see attached document). This super controller is basically a single INTV controller with double input. This modder has created a Coleco mod with two joystick outputs on the side. This works together with the original Coleco controllers still connected. It allows to use Atari controllers instead of the Coleco Joysticks. I also tried with MegaDrive controllers and it works fine with most of the games. The Coleco controllers still do the numerical input. I am enclosing the document I sent to him stating the idea. Unfortunately, I do not have the know how nor the resources for making it. This has been a fun tread to read. It is packed with amazing ideas and I believe that there is a lot of potential here... Imagine someone making a home-brew INTV game with double input functionality? Perhaps this is an idea for DZ and his Night Stalker reboot concept.
