  1. I guess the European exclusives (Tutankham and Super Cobra, both by Parker Brothers) should appear in the list. Also the European titles developed by Dextell/Nice Ideas (Soccer and Tennis) should be there. The Draughts Mattel game in the UK was sort of a urban legend until it was discovered that it was quite common and almost identical to its US counterpart checkers. There are some european variants of Coleco games marketed by CBS; as well as International versions of Activision, Imagic and many Mattel games. cMart is our in-house variant specialist so he may give you an update on that. Another good resource to find info about this topic is INTV Funhouse. I hope this helps. Cheers!

  2. But I dont want the top 5 players to fell "ripped off" for playing so hard.....any thoughts from the top 5?

You could give 3 patches (or a Tshirt?) for each of the top 5 and surely you will not get any complaints. ;)

Seriously speaking, there is no space for "ripped off" feelings when you are simply being kind.

Thanks again for organising the contest and for all your love, dedication and attention to detail in the prizes.

    Cheers!

  3. Are League Of Light and Robot Rubble home-brews? I thought they were old unreleased games that were put CiB later...

I also find it weird that unreleased games are called home-brews if they eventually get a release in physical form. I guess that a more accurate term should be reproduction or repro.

At least, this is the term used for this type of games in the NES, SNES, Megadrive collecting circles. E.g. Starfox 2 for the SNES is more a repro than a home-brew.

It will be interesting to know which are the "real" home-brews for the Intellivision: CvG, D2K, DKArcade, Space Patrol, 4tris...

  4.

For me it's always hard to keep track of 4 (or more) enemies and choose the right path in a maze game (pac-man, burgertime, lock'n'chase).

But it doesn't mean I don't like those games.

So you are having problems with Maze games... mmm... What about Carol vs Ghost my friend, your specialty was rolling the score over there

    :)

Hi everyone. My name is Ed Williams.

    Happy gaming everyone.

Well, Ed Williams... it is a real pleasure to read about your experiences with Nightstalker and your records. Welcome to the forums and thank you for the tips.

We have just been playing Nightstalker a couple of weeks ago as part of a knockout tournament. DZ Jay a fellow forum member and a great INTV programmer (he has just released Carol vs Ghost, one of the best, if not the best, homebrews for the INTV) showed some interest in re-booting Nightstalker using the same engine of Carol vs Ghost. You should definitely talk with him.

Welcome again and it is a great pleasure to (electronically) meet you! See you around!

For now I'm only with the chase part. I still need to get the lock skills.

P.S.: I think this isn't a good pic. It shows my best score but there's no way to prove I played in faster speed, which i did.

Actually Liduario if I remember well the colour of the little square at the top right of the screen (right side of the score) denotes the level at which you are playing the game.

I think that a white square denoted the highest speed. Cheers!

  7. Wow... the overlays look awesome! Congratulations on the great work! Count me in for a set or two.

The INTV 'Hood overlay looks like a fun idea. BTW how do I know if I am part of the INTV Brotherhood.

I signed up in Rev's website and received an email from him saying hi.

Is that all or is there a secret pact that involves blood, an initiation, killing a cat or something like that? ;)
