  1. I'm the one who picked up this Omega Race and maybe I paid a little more over market price. But the last one I saw in similar condition was also around $100US and almost a year ago. I haven't received it yet (I'm in Australia), but it does look in excellent quality compared to previous ebay sales. Just kicking myself that I let the other Apollo games go so cheap.... That 2$ increment is an ebay sniper set to creep at 2$ Per bid - really annoying when it's down to the last 30seconds and some guy beats you by 2$!!
  2. I used to manage a computer store, it was policy to shrink wrap all games that came unwrapped to prevent stock damage. I was common practice, and I'd imagine most other stores would do the same. IMO 50$US is still cheap for Maniac Miner in very good to mint condition even if it doesn't have the factory seals.
  3. I'll add that the Venezuelan resellers, in particular in my experience Liwer2006, has been outstandingly reasonable. They have always replaced the damaged boxes in my next consignment. They have also been responsive to suggestions I.e placing a note to customs in Spanish asking them to be more carefull when inspecting etc.
  4. In my experience the damage done to my packages are the Venezuelan customs that rip open the packages. Australian customs (since I am I Australia) include a certificate of authority notifying you of a customs inspection. The problem is hit and miss, but out of the volume of trades, it's around 50%. They usually target the larger consignment. I've now started to double up on items I need, to improved the odds of getting through Venezuelan customs intact. In the past I've had carts ripped open, boxes shredded, and the manuals torn. Since I'm only interested in sealed boxes, the value of the consignments is significantly reduced. The total number of damages is 4 to 5 boxes per consignment. I usually order between 20 to 30 boxes (note:I'm a collector, not a reseller) I put all the risks of Venezuelan custom searches down to the risks in our hobby. I don't like it, but the products coming out of Venezuela makes the risk worth while. Dom
  5. Chip, you stated shipping to US only on the e-bay site. Are you prepared to ship to Australia? Dom
  6. Personally think Sega SG3000 was the better version, but I am a sucker for nostalgia... http://www.atariage.com/forums/gallery/image/8222-congo-bongo/

  11. If its not to late, could I put my name down for one. I don't have any Sega Carts but willing to pay extra. Cheers
  12. Just a quick shout out, I'm Perth based. Been collecting for a while, but only seriously started collecting in the past 6months. Concentrating on CIB/NIB Carts and CD/DVD. Have a collection over 1200 titles covering: - Commodore: Vic20, C16, C64, Amiga, CDTV, CD32 - Atari 2600, 5200, 7800, 400/800, ST - Sega SG300, SMS, Mega Drive, Dreamcast, Saturn - Xbox/Xbox 360 - Sony PS1, PSP, PS2, PS3 - Nintendo NES, SNES, N64, Wii, GameCube, Gameboy, Advanced, DS - Dick Smith VZ200/300 - TeleSport Pong - Intellivsion - Colecovision A majority are sealed with some personal gems M.U.L.E C64, Miner 2049'r, Polaris, Beamraider etc. The irony of it all, apart from the Xbox360/CDTV/CD32, I don't have the systems to test the carts! Removes the temptation to open the sealed packs....... I do have a CIB Sega John Sands SG3000 but more of a conversational piece than risk further damage.... I've decided to focus on the late 70's early 80's NIB's, that's my passion.... For now. Certified Hoarder...
