Another quick eBay code... 15% off $75+

Mis-typed. Sorry about that. I'm usually not up on these things, I just randomly posted this (and one other) recently. That link posted above is in Auction Central, and certainly not everyone looks there. I'm not against a dedicated thread, just trying to help. -

Risky Rick in Dangerous Traps (June 25th)
slab0meat replied to ArcadeVision's topic in ColecoVision / Adam
I've re-read this and either am missing it, or it's not there. Are the limited editions sold out, not available for purchase, or what exactly? Site just shows "wait". Thanks -
I rotated TVs last week, and my basement TV, which was a 2007 Sony, is now a 2012ish Vizio.. and though I managed to get the ColecoVision working (modded), the INTV isn't working. Same connection through the coax, but I can't get an analog channel 3/4. I'd rather not get a VCR, don't have room for a CRT, and would rather not spend the kind of money in the page 1 links. Has anyone used/found anything worthwhile since these last posts? Thanks

It's in the Marketplace.. For sale or trade (ColecoVision homebrews).. thanks

Nintendo and Hamster release Arcade Archives Donkey Kong for Switch
slab0meat replied to empsolo's topic in Nintendo Switch
I have no idea how close to, or how it relates, but wasn't there a Kongorilla too? I keep thinking I saw one at a 7-11 back when I was a kid, but nowhere else. Don't remember much, though I think you could walk through the gorilla without dying. I don't have a Switch, but I'd buy original Donkey Kong in a second. -
NOT looking for all these at once, but I'm looking to fill a few holes in the collection.. PM me if you're selling any of these: Super Action Soccer Kaboom! Danger Tower Traffic Jam Flicky Zombie Incident Girl's Garden Gulkave Peek-a-boo Golgo 13 Bank Panic Mopiranger Destructor SCE Star Force Konami's Ping-Pong Wonder Boy Space Invaders Collection (original) Pac-Man Collection (yellow cart) (original) Ghost'N Zombies

I saw a current one where you can trade in an original XBox One for $150 credit towards a Switch. There's a bunch of others listed.. https://www.gamestop.com/trade I'm not interested in a Switch, but I also want to sell my original One (now that I have a One X).. maybe a trade/cash for the Switch, then sell the NIB Switch? Are they even hard to find at this point? Haven't thought it through. What's a used original (not launch, just original) One worth anyway? $100+, roughly?

The OP didn't mention the S, just a regular One. But overall, I can't say a whole lot without repeating myself. If someone is going 4K, outside of the TV purchase.. the One X is a decently priced all-in-one, with TV, apps, media, 4k blu ray all in it. You don't HAVE to be a hardcore gamer to have one, but I'd guess it's mostly hardcore gamers going from a One or One S to an X. If someone is just getting into it all, it handles everything, plus will play a ton of games, no matter how little you might play, there's a lot to pick from, including older ones that are now enhanced. I'm not trying to sell X Box One X's here, but again, if it's someone new, buying a One or One S doesn't make a ton of sense IF that person is going 4K.
-
Not just worth it if you're going to be playing a lot of games. Depending what you already have or have to buy, it can be your gaming system, 4K blu ray player, 4k streaming point with the apps... And if you hit a sale (like eBay's recent 20% off), even better. I don't know the costs of those items separately, but the One X *can* be a very good option/bargain for minimal gamers as well.

As I mentioned recently, I'd been looking to upgrade to a 4K TV, along with the upgrade to One X along with it. The TV didn't happen last weekend as planned, but I hooked up my One X last night. I was very happy to get rid of the power brick, along with minor aesthetics. I've read how the difference is clear once you have the right TV, even on some older games. I'm very much looking forward to trying some out soon. CERTAINLY not obsolete. You get the 4K benefits (movies, games, whatever) once you have the TV.. there's no guarantee when the next one comes out, plus it'll be supported for many years. Better internals.. enjoy it and get yourself a 4K TV, then you can really enjoy it, I'm sure.

New XBOX one owner - a retro gamers viewpoint

I was going to get a One even when the "always connected" rule was in effect. Didn't bother me at all. No problems either. -

A quick search showed nothing for me. Not sure of the answer. I had no idea it was that rare. Is the list (left side of the page, under "Completed Projects") on the Pixelboy site the definitive list of what's released? I'd been meaning to compare what I have from Team Pixelboy against all that were released. -

eBay discount -- not much time left -- 20% off
slab0meat posted a topic in Modern Console Discussion
PICKDADSGIFT gets 20% off through 10 PM EST tonight. Just saw this earlier, no idea how long it's been going on. Came in handy. Bought a $449 Xbox One X, that code knocked $90 off, used a $100 gift card, and had some money sitting in PayPal... nothing out of pocket, technically. (edit: 20% off on MOST things, not every item) -
