I just fixed the ranking system for games where the lowest score is the best (i.e. I Want My Mommy, Golf, etc). This wasn't properly ranking these types of scores, but it should be working now. I had to crack some trophies for I Want My Mommy as part of the cleanup on this. (The dates of the trophies being cracked on this were set so that they should not impact the contest currently in progress.)

I think I have to go with Berzerk On some days, I would say Space Cavern

Yes, my understanding is that Sega had the distribution rights in Europe.

I own a set of Commodore paddles that were made for the VIC-20. They work great on my 2600.

Have you guys ever seen one of these? This is in the back of the Pinball Hall of Fame. It's a beautiful cabinet.

There is now a "King" trophy available on the site. This trophy represents that the holder is the current points leader. cncfreak has been awarded the first of these trophies. This trophy can crack, like any other, but it will not crack immediately. I will be manually awarding/cracking this trophy on a monthly basis. (I will eventually automate it.) Also, I have added an experimental feature. You can now "pin" your score photos onto Pinterest. These will link back to your score page on High Score.

Serious replied to Chuck D. Head's topic in Atari 2600
Want... Badly. -
Please add me to the list for CIB copy. However, the price will of course be a factor.

This one was Mr. Do's Castle, which is rarer. -

So, what do you guys think would have been a more reasonable price for those games? -
The special trophies for the contest winners have now been awarded. This took me longer to do than I anticipated, as trophies are associated with games and scores, and these were an exception. I eventually figured out a way to make it work. You will see them in your trophy cases now.

Most of the porn titles look pretty dumb to me. Is there a single one that has any real gameplay value?

Ok.. So I am late on my way to the island (why am I volunteering to be marooned, exactly? nevermind..), and it appears that you guys took the games I probably would have taken.. so I'm left with some of the less common ones to choose from.. Hmm, so I don't know how long I'm going to be stuck on this island, so I'm going to try to pick some games with depth and replayability.. Phaser Patrol.. I never really felt like I logged enough time on this game.. Now here's my chance! Rescue Terra I.. I may never leave the island, but I am going to reach Terra, dammit. Over and over again, possibly.. Alien.. Because good maze games never get boring, and this one has a flame-thrower in it..

Is the Venezuala source bigger than the O'Shea's source?
Serious replied to homerwannabee's topic in Atari 2600
Is the Venezuela supply drying up? I haven't seen nearly as many of these listings lately. Maybe I'm just not looking in the right place? -
Pac-Man and Demons to Diamonds are widely hated (I used to hate them, as well), but they are actually very fun once you give them a chance. Most of Data Age's games are also underrated. Encounter at L5 is one of my favorite 2600 games. TigerVision's Jawbreaker is fantastic. It got mixed reviews when it came out, but it is probably the best maze game for the 2600.

I have lots of loose cartridges that I'll sell for $1 each. PM me if you are interested.

Ok, I just went through and re-categorized some Atari 2600 games where the difficulty switches do not affect game play. These are the games that were changed: Activision Decathlon Asterix Atari Video Cube Atlantis Atlantis II Battlezone Beany Bopper Berzerk Bump n Jump Burgertime Centipede Cosmic Commute Cosmic Creeps Crackpots Fire Fly Gorf In cases where there was a trophy in the previous category that was associated with a score lower than the trophy in the other category, the trophy associated with the lower score was cracked. I set the date on this event so that it would not affect the current contest. If you had scores in both categories, only the higher of the two scores you had should remain. If you notice anything with your trophies that seems off, let me know, and I will check to see if I made an error (and I will correct it).

SOLD: Gemini VG-170 Joystick (2600 compatible)
Serious replied to A.J. Franzman's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
I have one of these that I would be willing to sell or trade. Please PM me if interested. -
I sold him a 5200 console box. The transaction went very smoothly, and I'd be more than happy to buy/sell/trade with him again.

Here's where you can track the contest: http://highscore.com/contest/ S.BAZ has a nice lead right now, but there's still 4 weeks to go.

Funny / Stupid / Crazy / Lame Auction Listings

Its videogamevillian (sic) again. Listing games at crazy prices seems to be a thing for him. -
Do NTSC versions of Sword of Saros and Survival Island say "PAL system" on the label? I'm asking because I cannot find a photo of these games where it does not say this on the label. I owned both of these when I was a kid, so I know there was a U.S. release. These are listed as NTSC releases in the AtariAge database, and the photos of the cassettes there also say "PAL system" on the label.

It could be from a later (or earlier) production run than most other carts.
