Time to clear out my extra manuals, etc..!! Manuals, catalogs, inserts, and Atari comics below.. Almost all of them are $1 or less each. A few rare manuals (Beamrider, Room of Doom, Frogger II, Pengo, for example) are below. Minimum order is $10.. Prices do not include shipping. Default shipping is a USPS Small Flat Rate box (which can fit alot of manuals), but I'll give you cheaper options if you prefer.. I have graded each item, and I am providing details on how I graded.. I am pretty conservative on my grading.. I cannot provide photos, due to the huge quantity.. But if you are unhappy with the item for any reason, I'll accept returns and refund your purchase (plus return shipping). Please PM me with what you'd like. Please note it may take me a little time to get back with you. I will update this list as items sell.. (Sold items have strike-through marks.) Rare Atari 2600 carts for trade (R8, R7, R6)
Serious replied to Serious's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade

I've recently picked up what appears to be a Taiwain H6er, but there's some things about it that seem unusual to me. I'd like to try to understand what exactly I have here, so any insight anyone has would be appreciated. (I apologize in advance for the dirtiness of the console. I just received it this week, and I want to take my time in cleaning this, but I wanted to learn more about it first.) The serial number is "0000790", which seems strange to me. I don't know the significance of the "T" in front. Taiwain? Or the "CO10922". Here are some photos of the unit: It has some vents in the top front of the console that I haven't noticed before in other VCS consoles I've owned. The power supply that arrived with it isn't the standard H6 grey power supply, but it feels heavier than I've noticed any of the others I've had before, and it looks a little different. The console weighs just over 4 lbs 14 oz. The joysticks that arrived with it seem to be CX-40s. I don't know how to differentiate H6er paddles from standard ones. I haven't opened it yet, so I don't know what's inside. I will probably open and remove the case when I clean it, and will look at the RF modulator then to try to determine the manufacture date. I'm guessing that this is either a very early model, or late model (before production shifted to L6ers), Taiwain H6er. If anyone recognizes this, or understands the meaning of the serial number, I would appreciate it if you can share your knowledge. (I don't consider myself knowledgeable on hardware in general.) Thanks

This is really awesome. Where did you obtain the vector based version?

Found one.. Now I need overlays. PM me if you have some extras you want to sell.

I don't see this as him doing anything wrong. You're not obligated to sell to him. He's a reseller, so he can't make a profit if he doesn't buy at a low price. The guy is probably trying to make a living doing this. I can appreciate your annoyance, though. I feel like I've been cheated anytime I bring a stack of books into a certain local used bookstore and wait around in the store for them to make me some lowball offer. I wasted my time going down there and waiting for their ridiculous offer, so it is frustrating, but it is usually a situation where I just need to unload the stuff with minimum hassle. You'd probably be better off listing this on eBay as an auction (with a low starting price), or listing each game individually at a buy it now price. It is alot more work, but you'll probably do much better than any reseller will give you. You just need to make a choice on price or convenience.

PM me please with your asking price

Satan's Hollow Discs of Tron (surround environment) Wizard of Wor (incredible sound/atmospherics) Many of the earliest video games that made use of a backdrop are beautiful, but none more so than Warrior (by Cinematronics) in my opinion:

Rare Atari 2600 carts for trade (R8, R7, R6)
Serious replied to Serious's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
Edited.. Added a loose Odyssey 2 Power Lords cartridge to the list of available games.. (acquired a CIB copy right after I got a loose copy) -
Pleasant to deal with. Honest and reliable.
-
I'm very happy with my purchases. He's very easy to work with, honest, and reliable. I will look to do business with him again in the future.
-
I bought several games from him recently. Everything was exactly as expected when I received it. I will be happy to buy from him again in the future.
-
I believe I saw this on eBay about 4 weeks ago. I assumed it was a Zellers cart.

If you had to pick one system to keep...
Serious replied to DesertJets's topic in Classic Console Discussion
I would probably keep my MAME cabinet or my pinball machine. -

And he's a stranger to me. If I mail him cash, and the cash is lost in the mail, or never received, or the seller doesn't fulfill on his end of the bargain for whatever reason, I have no recourse. The same is true of a money order. The proposition of mailing anyone cash (especially if it is in the hundreds) should make any reasonable person nervous. -

If you'd take Paypal, I would make an offer. I'm not comfortable dealing with a stranger without some form of buyer protection. -

I was going to make an offer, but the "cash or money order only" part smells to me. -
I have an adapter that someone with more electronic skill than I made. You can find the plans for it on the web. I originally intended to use it with a PS2 "fight stick" controller, but found that I love using just the standard PS2 controller with it. My hands never get tired with the thumbstick, and I seem to have better directional control.

I received my Sears Video Arcade II today, and I'm very happy with it so far. There's alot to like. Besides this being an attractive piece of hardware, the switch layout is nice, and you can wrap the cord around the prongs on the bottom of the unit. It feels very well-designed. The lights on the different switches is great. I have had no problem fitting any generation of VCS cartridge into the unit so far, and no compatibility problems. I have two minor things I don't care for, so far: 1. The expert switches reset themselves to novice upon power-off. I have to switch them back to expert each time I use it. 2. There isn't much clearance above the controller ports, so some of my controllers won't fit. This should be easily addressable by using an controller extension cord. I took some photos of the unit, the box, and the pack-in items to share. Here it is powered-on, with the LEDs lit: Here is the underside of the unit. The Color/B&W and channel selecter switches are here. The cord wrap-around will be very nice while storing this. The box it comes in has a handle on top, which is a nice touch (but not easy to see in the photo). And here are the pack-in items: It comes with 4 controllers (two in this photo are still sealed in the original plastic): The A/V output is pretty good. Better than my 4 switchers, but not as good as some of my sixers. Overall, I think it makes a great companion unit for a sixer (which is what I was hoping for), since it seems to fit the games that don't fit into the slot on my sixers.
