  1. Hey, jetset, if you need a switch box, I have one you can have. I completed a power mod and s-video mod in my 5200 years ago, so I don't need the switch box. If you ever decide you want to do it, the power mod is pretty easy. I think it was one of the first console mods I ever did.
  2. Got my tracking number! Thanks so much, Tursi! Definitely going to make a video and show off my lack of Dragon's Lair skills when I get this.
  3. Wait, that actually may be normal. I just turned mine on and realized that I tip it back slightly when playing. It is a bit darker when you look at it straight on.
  4. Yes, the screen should be clear if you're looking straight at it (with sufficient light, of course). I've heard of this issue with the Game Gear (with it being due to bad capacitors), but I've not heard of this issue with the SwanCrystal. I have no idea if it could be a similar issue or something else (sorry I'm not of much help).
  5. I'll always stick with the original consoles when I can. Part of that, though, is because I do most of my classic gaming on CRTs and want analog output. If I didn't already have multiple classic consoles outputting RGB, I might consider an FPGA console since it would make capturing footage easier. For my purposes, though, an OSSC is the best way to go.
  6. I have the FlashROM99 and will be upgrading to the FinalGROM99 when I get a chance (so I went ahead and answered yes). I also just today sent my payment for Dragon's Lair.
  7. Just paid for mine! So excited that I got in on this. I remember being amazed by Dragon's Lair in the arcade when I was a kid, and now I get to be amazed that I can play a recreation of it on my TI-99/4A.
  8. Is there a list of the Intellivision ROMs that will be available in the vault (I didn't see a list here)? I did see the list of ColecoVision games in the ColecoVision Club thread.
  9. Wow. I've never seen anyone use all three of these together. Not something I would ever do, but I appreciate the amount of work you put into this! Most of the time, I play my 3DO via s-video on a Sony Trinitron, but I plan to 240p and RGB mod my FZ-1 and run that through the OSSC for video capture.
  10. Maybe I'll have to make them on my own. Finally give me a reason to use my sewing machine.
  11. Looks like the game is progressing well! By the way, for the first day after this topic was posted I thought it was titled Thursty Thing, which made me wonder 1) why you were spelling "thirsty" that way and 2) what being thirsty had to do with space. Yeah ... reading's hard.
  12. Yeah, I finally gave in and surrendered all of my points to Dut as well. What I like about this game is that after you learn what you need to do for each screen, passing it becomes easier and easier. Nothing (so far) is prohibitively hard—you learn exactly what you need to do and, with practice, you can get through once difficult screens relatively easily.
  13. Glad to see that people are finally interested in buying these. I have two of them, and I much prefer them to the original N64 controllers. As Bratwurst says, the shell revision was due to an issue with the left shoulder button and the analog stick. They sent out free replacement shells to anyone who had purchased the controllers prior to the issue being found and fixed.
  14. I'm enjoying the game so far. I'm not great at it, but I'm enjoying it. Now, I really want Rikki, Vikki, Marie, Sam, and Dut plushies.
  15. Bought a few controllers from BIGHMW. All arrived packaged well and as described. Thanks!
  16. Console5 also sells Atari 5200 extension cables. https://console5.com/store/neo-geo-aes-atari-5200-pc-controller-joystick-extension-cables-6-1-8m.html
  17. My copy is scheduled to arrive on Friday, so I know what I'm doing this weekend.
  18. Did the price of Zaku go up? I see it's $69.95 on the site now instead of $59.95.
  19. Just watched some of the videos posted to YouTube. Canon appears to be a tactical RPG just like Shining Force. Looks like I'm definitely going to have to pick that one up! I'm curious—is the listing for Switchblade on your site correct? It says that the Genesis game comes in a cardboard box instead of a plastic case.
  20. I received my tax refund today, so I decided to finally invest in one of these. I already have a hard drive prepped for when it arrives. The front panel is connected to the CD drive, though, isn't it? That means it would be missing when the CD drive is replaced with the USB host, unless you removed it from the CD drive and used something else to keep it in place.
  21. Watched some of these videos today. Was cool to finally see footage of M2 games. It's too bad that Tobe! Polystars and Evil Night didn't get ports to other systems. They both look fun.
  22. In his YouTube videos, Schwab talks about how they would see new iterations of the Jurassic Park Interactive game, but very little had been improved in each build. It really does sound like they totally mismanaged the license, which is why the final game seems to be a cobbled together mess that in no way showcases the power of the 3DO. It's really a shame, as it could have done so much more to give people a reason to invest in a 3DO.
  23. Yeah, it would be really interesting to see what could have been done with some 3DO games if they weren't under the constraints they had. Schwab talks a lot about how much money and time was given to Jurassic Park Interactive (which turned out to be horrible). If he had been given the same money and time for Monster Manor, who knows how much better it would have been? I think, as it stands, it's one of the highlights of the 3DO.
  24. I recently discovered his YouTube channel, and it's been interesting listening to him talk about his work and the environment at 3DO. I'm one of those people that get motion sickness from Monster Manor, which is a shame, as I would like to play through it (I love how they designed the monsters in the game).
