I'm enjoying the game so far. I'm not great at it, but I'm enjoying it.

Now, I really want Rikki, Vikki, Marie, Sam, and Dut plushies.

I'd definitely be interested in these as well.

Bought a few controllers from BIGHMW. All arrived packaged well and as described. Thanks!

Console5 also sells Atari 5200 extension cables.

My copy is scheduled to arrive on Friday, so I know what I'm doing this weekend.

I noticed a couple posts above the link to Songbird is broken. If you'd like to order Zaku, I have fewer than 20 copies left in stock right now on the Songbird website. At the rate they've been selling, they will all be gone before summer.
Did the price of Zaku go up? I see it's $69.95 on the site now instead of $59.95.

Just watched some of the videos posted to YouTube. Canon appears to be a tactical RPG just like Shining Force. Looks like I'm definitely going to have to pick that one up!
I'm curious—is the listing for Switchblade on your site correct? It says that the Genesis game comes in a cardboard box instead of a plastic case.

I received my tax refund today, so I decided to finally invest in one of these. I already have a hard drive prepped for when it arrives.

Was thinking the internal... using a small USB extender for interrnal mount, cutting out a hole IN THE BACK OF THE UNIT and plug a small USB in the back so I can plug the USB drive in the back. No one would know the difference. Putting it in front would make the front cover ugly....
The front panel is connected to the CD drive, though, isn't it? That means it would be missing when the CD drive is replaced with the USB host, unless you removed it from the CD drive and used something else to keep it in place.

Watched some of these videos today. Was cool to finally see footage of M2 games.
It's too bad that Tobe! Polystars and Evil Night didn't get ports to other systems. They both look fun.

In his YouTube videos, Schwab talks about how they would see new iterations of the Jurassic Park Interactive game, but very little had been improved in each build.
It really does sound like they totally mismanaged the license, which is why the final game seems to be a cobbled together mess that in no way showcases the power of the 3DO. It's really a shame, as it could have done so much more to give people a reason to invest in a 3DO.

Yeah, it would be really interesting to see what could have been done with some 3DO games if they weren't under the constraints they had.
Schwab talks a lot about how much money and time was given to Jurassic Park Interactive (which turned out to be horrible). If he had been given the same money and time for Monster Manor, who knows how much better it would have been? I think, as it stands, it's one of the highlights of the 3DO.

I recently discovered his YouTube channel, and it's been interesting listening to him talk about his work and the environment at 3DO.
I'm one of those people that get motion sickness from Monster Manor, which is a shame, as I would like to play through it (I love how they designed the monsters in the game).

I bought several games from FujiSkunk, and they were packaged well and arrived as described. Thanks!

Next year, there is a Sega Genesis themed pizza place opening in Fort Wayne, Indiana. I believe the owners are developing their own Genesis games.

Is it easy to bevel the edges? Could someone throw up a demo video?
Yes, it's easy to do. The hardest part for me was getting the 3D printed case to come apart.
The board extends a bit below the connectors, so you just have to file that part down a bit. I did it in a matter of minutes using a small file.Oof! Sure I paid closer to 120 pounds! (might be misremembering). I believe it came from GoatStore.
Anyhoo, it's doing nothing. If someone wants it, please let me know. I can't see any reason why 65 pounds shouldn't be a reasonable price.
I'll have to check the version. I'd swap it for a Harmony encore cart...
If I remember correctly, the carts were being sold on the Goat Store for $130 to $140 (at least, that's what I remember about the "ghost" version). I missed out on it, but I ended up buying a V2 later for $200 (people were marking them up, of course, since they were no longer being produced). Fortunately, I was able to sell mine for the same price I bought it. Since someone is producing Skunkboards again, the price has gone back down.

Really looking forward to this game. Too bad the 7800 didn't have something like this during its lifespan.
By the way, and I may have mentioned this before, but I love that you include your kids in your reviews. They're so damn cute!

I bought mine in December, and mine wasn't beveled. If the person selling these is doing it now, then good, I'm glad others won't have this issue.
-
You can't right now. It is in development.
Check the 7800 programming to see some footage of the game.
I looked up a video for it. Very cool! It's like Shining in the Darkness for the 7800.

Yeah I got the burner and one other little piece. No cable but it looks like it is just a USB to micro USB, correct? That I can get anywhere?
Yup, it sounds like that's all you need.

Just got the TIA 'stuck' (i.e. random vertical bars) screen no matter what I did. I followed every instruction on here, in case I did do something wrong... Nothing.
Games work on mine, until they don't, and then I get this as well. I'll be in the middle of a game, and then it will freeze, and all I get from any of the slots are what you describe.
I was going to send it to Juan in hopes that maybe this would be fixed with a later revision (I have an early version of the cart), but I didn't get around to it, and it looks like he hasn't been around in a while.
-
Definitely not my type of game, but nice review.

Just curious—are there any 7800 games that use any of the Atari 2600 keypads? Might be cool to see a homebrew make use of one.

Did it come with the burner? You'll need that to add games to the cart. The burner hooks up to your computer using a mini USB cable.
-
Okay, I beveled the edge of the Skunkboard, and everything seems okay now. I think I did bend some pins when inserting the Skunkboard prior to beveling the connector, as I sometimes have to remove and reinsert Jaguar cartridges now for them to be recognized. Ugh.
So, yeah, anyone who buys this Skunkboard should definitely bevel the connector before ever using it. Not sure why the seller doesn't have this done. Does it add much to the cost of a PCB to have the connector beveled?

You know, I may be wrong about the thickness. It may just look thicker to me due to not having a beveled edge. After I figure out how to get it out of this 3D printed case, I'll compare it to a regular Jaguar cart.
EDIT:
Okay, forget what I said about the PCB thickness. I compared it to a Tempest cart, and both are 1.3 mm thick. I'm going to try beveling the edge, and hopefully that will fix everything.

Brawler 64 controllers x2 new w/ replacement shells $55 shipped SOLD
in Buy, Sell, and Trade
Posted
Glad to see that people are finally interested in buying these. I have two of them, and I much prefer them to the original N64 controllers.
As Bratwurst says, the shell revision was due to an issue with the left shoulder button and the analog stick. They sent out free replacement shells to anyone who had purchased the controllers prior to the issue being found and fixed.
