  1. *sigh* Waiting on something to ship from the AA store. Hopefully it goes out next week.
  2. Purchased Mario Kart 8 from him. No problems at all. Thanks!
  3. Anyone know what cases are being used for the games in that auction? I've been searching for some way to store my Game.com carts, but I've yet to find something that works.
  4. Got my drop-in joystick replacement board today and tried it out with Donkey Kong (I know, it's a bad version, but it has sentimental value to me). My controller is super responsive, now. I was jumping over Ritz crackers like never before.
  5. Cool. I shall be as vague as possible. (I promise the box I send won't be empty )
  6. Going to be pretty obvious to whomever gets my package, I think. What bothers me more for international recipients is the customs form. They give away the contents to the recipient. Sent from my SM-J700P using Tapatalk
  7. Pfft. Overachiever. [emoji14] Sent from my SM-J700P using Tapatalk
  8. I've already done some shopping! Still more to do, though!
  9. My guess is that this is based on the C64 version, so it makes sense not to have the vacuum add to your revenue in the game.
  10. Can't wait to get my assignment! Ready to do some shopping!
  11. Okay, thanks! That differs from the SMS version that I'm used to playing. In it, you move the Ghostbuster icon over the ghosts on the map to stop them from moving, and each ghost you capture using the vacuum gains you $200.
  12. Looks really good. A couple of questions/suggestions. 1. Do you get any money from ghosts when you use the ghost vacuum? It doesn't seem like your total goes up at all when using it. 2. On the title screen, the ghost's eyes seem a bit too high. You might consider moving them down a pixel.
  13. Just curious—will the XM be available to order after it's completed? I've followed this project somewhat during its development, and I know there have ups and downs and delays and whatnot, so I'm not sure if the plan is to make only enough to cover the people who preordered these or if units will be available for sale after those preorders are fulfilled.
  14. Yeah, I think the UltiMem is what I want. I want to boost the RAM of my VIC-20 and have the ability to add ROMs to the cart (I heard there is a homebrew version of Q*bert on the VIC that is much better than the officially released version).
  15. Okay, cool. I can't find anything on YouTube about it other than a recording of a presentation Jim did. That seems weird to me, because I see multiple videos for the PenUltimate Cartridge, but the UltiMem offers more for a lower price (unless I don't have a full understanding of each cart, which is quite possible).
  16. So, I finally gave in and recently ordered an Ultimate II+ for my Commodore 64, and now I'm trying to find a good solution for my VIC-20. The UltiMem looks like maybe it would work. Anyone have experience with it? http://store.go4retro.com/ultimem-vic-20-memory-expansion-cartridge/

Grig sent me a box of video game goodness for the price of shipping, and it arrived super fast. Thanks so much!
  18. I'm sure there are some out there—they may just be really obscure. Off the top of my head, I can only think of how The Simpsons: Road Rage changes if played on a holiday (such as the changes to Marge when played on Thanksgiving). https://youtu.be/N8vN37PdKYQ?t=56
  19. Where is Inigo Montoya when you need him? Oh, here ...
  20. Were there any items in particular you wanted from box 3? I bought it mainly for the N64 power adapters and RAM upgrade.
  21. I bought my 32X with Doom included on clearance for $15 back in the mid '90s. It was the only way for me to play Doom until I finally got a new PC in maybe '97. Even though it wasn't the best version, it was the version I had, and I was thrilled that I finally got to play this game that people had been talking about for years. I even like the music of the 32X version, but I'm sure that is mostly due to nostalgia. One thing I can say about the 32X version—for whatever reason, I don't remember getting motion sickness while playing it. I can't say the same about many FPS games released around that time.
  22. Yeah, $189 is what I remember. I actually sold my Master System (and maybe my NES) to buy it.
  23. The Master System actually is the only console I ever received as a Christmas gift. I think I received it, Choplifter, and Ghostbusters for Christmas 1987.
