  1. Any have an extra Voice for Odyssey 2 hanging around that you might consider parting with?

I've been trying to get one on eBay for a long time, but it's rare that an auction goes up for one of them. Instead, there are BIN listings with very inflated prices, or the Voice is part of a lot with a console etc.

Let me know if you can help a girl out. :)

  2. EZ flash requires you to translate ROMs using a PC application prior to copying them to the SD card. Terribly outdated and a pain in the ass to use.

Actually, there was a firmware update for the EZ Flash IV that allows you to drag and drop games on an SD card (I think the games are patched as you select them from the cart menu). Also, there is no longer a 2 GB limit for SD cards.

That said, I gave my EZ Flash IV away and got an Everdrive GBA. It is a better cart, overall.

  3. Within the last year, I bought a new Game.com (one of the blister packed versions) with several games. Right out of the package, I had a horizontal line in the screen. Seems inevitable. :(

I may try opening it up and putting in a piece of rubber like Video suggests. Right now, with it only being one line, it doesn't really bother me, but I'm sure I'll eventually have more.

  4.

Besides, you don't need the biggest CRT out there to play games. I wouldn't get anything over 27" because of the weight issue.

Yeah, I almost got a 36" Trinitron that someone posted locally until I saw that it weighs something like 175 pounds. Considering that growing up, most of my gaming was done on a 13" TV (sometimes even a small black-and-white TV), I'm perfectly fine with my 27" TV.

  5. Up until recently, I had been outputting RGB via SCART from most of my retro consoles and then using a converter to hook them up to my LCD via HDMI. I now have a 27" Trinitron set up, and it makes a huge difference for me not so much due to picture quality but due to lag. It wasn't until I played on the CRT that I realized just how much lag was being introduced by using the LCD.

If I'm recording footage, I'll probably continue to use the LCD, because that's how I'm currently set up. Otherwise, I'll be using the Trinitron.

  6. jin is a good guy to sell to and he is offering going rates in my experience,

but if you do find a controller less jag I can sell you all the pads you need for 7 bucks each (+ shipping)

Wow, is that a Jin-only offer on the controllers? That's an awesome price!

Back to the topic, I wish I could help, but I only have one Jaguar and one (non-minty) Lynx II for my collection. I'll keep an eye out, though.
