  2. I really would rather sell them all together. I'm planning on posting it on my local Craigslist to see what I'm offered. You're free to offer as well if you would like!
  3. Appreciate the time you took to do that! In my years of collecting, this is the only Vic-20 stuff I ever came across. Glad there is some knowledge about it online
  4. Hey guys, been a while since I posted on AtariAge, hope all is well! I've had this small lot of Vic-20 games for about 6 years now. Got them awhile ago at an electronics hoarder estate sale. I know NOTHING about old Commodore stuff (I mainly collect Atari, Nintendo, Sega, and various other things). When I got these, I never even looked into them, they just got thrown into a box. I just moved recently and unearthed them. For you Commodore aficionados, I have a few questions: 1. Are any of these games rare, uncommon, hard to find? 2. IF you were to price this entire lot, how would you do so? What is it worth? My plan is to sell them to a collector, or trade if they have stuff I'm looking for. 3. Is anyone particularly interested in this lot? Here is a list of all the games: Gorf Pin Ball Mole Attack The Sky is Falling Adventure Land Pirates Cove Omega Race Road Race The Count Clowns Voodoo Castle Slot Alien Star Trek Strategic Operations Simulator Qbert Dragonfire Pac Man Atlantis Demon Attack Satellites and Meteorites Adventure Land Radar Ratrace Raid on Fort Knox Tooth Invaders Centipede Gridrunner Buck Rogers Planet of Zoom Frogger Of course as someone with some knowledge of the games from this time, many of these are familiar titles. Yet, I know absolutely nothing about the Vic-20 so I don't really know where to go for these. Thank you all for any info Topsy
  5. How can I check the internals to see the mod? Any specific parts of the board I should look at? Would pictures help?
  6. That was my first thought, but it's definitely a Turbo Express. I'll attach a picture for reference. https://postimg.org/image/ytje53mhd/ (this is the only way I know to attach an image) Unless it's the internals of a PC-Engine GT, which seems extremely unlikely as I opened the system up and the internals do not look tampered with at all.
  7. Hey guys, I recently picked up a Turbo Express at a video game convention here in Chicago. The system is in great condition and when I tested it there, it worked great! The game that the vendor bundled it with was Street Fighter II (an import game). Once I got home, however, the system would not play any games from my personal collection. I am baffled as to why this is happening and do not know enough about the Turbo Express to draw any conclusions. So, here's what happens. For the Street Fighter game, it boots up perfectly 9/10 times. That means that there is nothing wrong with the power or screen. But when I try and boot up any other game, I typically just get a white screen. Sometimes it will flicker or do something weird but mostly just a white screen and white noise. Any suggestions? -Topsy
  8. Where can I find SNES and N64 plastic game box protectors for cheap? I can't find anything online.

      Awesome! Thanks!

  9. Quick question, is there a difference between getting a disc game buffed and getting a disc game resurfaced?

  10. Thats awesome. Yeah I'm definitely always down to meet other collectors in my area.
  11. Definitely an amazing find! My jealous level is over 9000.
  12. Honestly, I get really great mpg so it wasn't too bad! And my parents paid for the gas, they owed me anyways.
  13. I know the pictures may make the label look a bit yellow, but that is only because of the light that is in my room. It's fairly yellow and makes the label seem that way. I swear the label is perfectly silver and in great shape.
  14. No problem! I couldn't get a pic of the connectors because my camera would not focus but they are honestly perfect. Let me know what you all think!
  15. Well today was pretty great. About a week ago, I saw a post on Craigslist that said "Selling Qberts Qubes Atari 2600". They said they only wanted 60 for the game. Immediately I thought "Wow this game must be beat to hell" and "It probably doesn't work". So for fun, I emailed and said I would pay 30. They replied soon after with "35?" I JUMPED on that deal. I was busy the whole week so the lady was nice enough to take the post down for me and wait until today for me to come get the game. She lived about an hour and a half away, but it was well worth it. The game works flawlessly. I was surprised because the connectors were dusty (30 years of accumulation) but it still worked perfectly every time I played it. I cleaned the connectors, which is something I always do when I get new games, and they look great. The label is almost 100% perfect and the cart looks amazing! It's sad because this copy of Qberts Qubes is actually in better condition than my Qbert game. Wow. In the end I paid $35 for this game. It's one of my rarest games now, right next to Swordquest: Waterworld. Anyone who would like to see pictures, I will post them upon request.
  16. Well I think it looks amazing! It would be cool to get one, although I'm positive the 15 have already been selected!

Well, I'm thinking of beginning my Ph.D. studies in a year or two, and I need to keep my skills sharp! My three Calculus courses were among the hardest that I ever had as an undergrad, but reviewing it shouldn't be as bad as learning it over again.

Ahh very nice! Yeah you should probably review the material. Luckily I only have to take 1 year of Calculus for my major. Phew!

  18. The game seems to be fairly 2D with some added 3D effects. I see where you are coming from and I do agree, but for the sake of picking a game with any sort of 2D animation at all, I would say Paper Mario was my favorite.
  19. I would say that Paper Mario was an amazing 2D N64 game.
  20. Awesome collection. This reminds me of my childhood. I would sit around with my two older brothers watching my dad play the SNES. I hope some day my kids can be this interested in retro games!
  21. I get mad at myself for being so interested in learning more about retro video game consoles. I need to be studying for my finals. GAH!

  22. Hmm, maybe the game has some relation to this game. http://www.atariage.com/software_page.html?SoftwareLabelID=1768
  23. This collection is beautiful! Definitely one worth bragging about. Such a cool collection for a guy named MrBland
  24. I would definitely say he is a true collector. And just for giggles... With over 30,000 games, if he spent the time to play every game he owned for 1 minute, and assuming it took 30 seconds to switch each game, it would take over a month straight to get through them all. WOWZA
