Picked up these atari carts up tonight.
-
I saw this lot, and had a few reviewer examples of basic typo attack and the learning phone. Story goes the seller got them from a guy who's father worked at atari. Looked.interesting to say the least. He thought all atari brand carts could be prototypes but I'm pretty certain 3 typed labels are final version reviewer copies. Unsure about the hand written ones minus Satan's hallow. The cases appear never to have had a atari production label on them but I figure the few carts I had a clue about was worth the pickup. They should be here next week. I doubt any will be prototypes. But besides looking for assy boards any other interesting things to look for while going through this lot?

I managed to pick up a smart boy tetris cart this week right in time for the holiday rush. Something nes festive this season. Can't say I've gotten much atari honestly. It's been pretty slow on the road.

My last pickup was a cib apf mp1000 console with 6 complete in box games. System upgrades my loose mp 1000 so that can go into the trade bin. But now I have a cib m1000 and mp1000

I got a bunch of Eproms in the mail from an ex Atari programmer. I have 2 2.6 Diagnostic Eprom that I plugged into my eprom cart and they fired right up . However the 8 to 12 4.2 Diagnostic Eprom chips they dont fire up. Any ideas to why? Is one a 4k or a 8k that im not aware of ? The board reads all my other eproms i have laying around. ( Pitfall , Night Driver, Outlaw, River Raid ) but for some reason my 4.2 DOM diagnostic chips wont read. Any thoughts?

I think I'm getting antarctic adventure and some racing game with it. It's a bundled deal with a controller. I saw it did have a 3.5 drive. I assume some good disk based games also are put there not just cart based

Yeah tempest would be interested in learning about this title -
About 175 to 185 is about right. Much more than that is the premium and I would ship around in the 175 to 185 range

What happens to your collection after you die?
Scooter83 replied to Master Phruby's topic in Show Us Your Collection!
I dont know about you but if I go by being hit by a bus I hope I get that extra life in Mario at the same moment. I don't something fitting about loosing my life and him gaining a life that just seems comforting. -

Capacitor needed for a Parker Bros game
Scooter83 replied to Scooter83's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
The cap change didnt do anything to help the situation. Not sure what the next stage is. The chips could be bad the board looks clean so im not really sure the board is an issue. kinda stuck what my next move should be. -
Capacitor needed for a Parker Bros game

That would be the next question. also would this be the reason the game stopped playing? if the cap is bad would that give me nothing on the screen. or is it just for noise -

Hi yep its a ceramic one. but the casing just says 104Z 16V I was looking online and saw a bunch of different looking 104 caps and nothing said z nor does anything say 16V. so if your equation is right a 104 16V 1uF should work then -
The markings on it says 104Z 16V. ive seen some 104 .01uf which i dont know how that translates. The game itself is worth the work but trying to understand how to convert the info on mine to match up with what im seeing forsale online.

Scooter83 replied to Sean39's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
I have an 080 0133 did they reset the number each year early on.... i doubt it but would be logical for the label serial number difference -
Right now I still have these carts listed on my production list and part of my 339 total cart list ( minus Video 61™ cart titles ).

Does anyone know where to get box protectors what will work for the A8 boxes? I found ones to work with the smallest atari boxes but nothing for middle to large size. Also any suggestion for the 3rd party boxes. A8 doesnt seem to be as unified in their sizes as the 2600/5200/7800
