  1. In honor of my 300th view on my youtube channel I figured to give away a copy of Super Mario Bros 2 . A friend RussLyman on youtube sent me a few cool things for free a while ago including a copy of SMB2 with a beat up box ( which was in his free bin) The fact that he sent a game too was up and beyond. I know 300 views is nothing on youtube for a channel but this is my way to pay it forward like he did when he sent me the game for free. The rules are simple : Watch the video and answer the question provided. Provide all answers in the comment section below. ( Text or Video Response format ) Like the video. and Subscribe to the channel. A winner will be picked on 9/5/13. With that said on with the contest. :
  2. Glad the game room is set up, time to kick back to some NES games tonight. :)

  3. Here's the latest update on the game collection and game room. I got the room 75% done and have a link to the walk through video. Its a little long but a nice look at the layout and the games in my collection. Pictures sure to follow.
  4. The video challenger seems like a pretty cool addition to the collection. Something totally different.
  5. i also remember bombing out the enemy hanger, planes on the runway ( but you couldnt gun them to blow em up ). I wonder if there was any easter eggs or tricks to get to do strange things ( besides bombing your own hanger )
  6. Here are few more photos while I continue working on my game room. Ill put a video up of the whole game room when Im done. But I hope that this collection builds up to what the old one was like. Atari 2600 Games Super Nintendo Games
  7. This week's gaming moment is a classic staple from the Super Nintendo days... Super Mario World . This classic features 1 or 2 player action with Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Bowser, The Princess and more. This is a title like most kids of the 90s grew up with and have a lot of fond memories playing this title on weekends and after school. With that said Here is Super Mario World.
  8. Hey everyone. Ive been working on my new video game channel on YouTube for a little while now and wanted to share that with this forum. Most of my videos are Atari 8 Bit related ( hence the name ). But I also try to include games from other consoles that I collect. Some of the systems I collect and you may find on the channel include the Atari 2600, 5200, 7800, 8 bit computer line, NES , SNES, Gameboy, Genesis, and any other system that is cartridge based. Each week I do at least 2 videos. - One based called "The Gaming Moment Back In Time" which focuses on a game from my collection that either I grew up playing and enjoyed or something Ive added to my collection and has been overall a big hit to play. - The other video is my Thursday pick up video that covers all the finds Ive picked up from flea markets, garage sales, eBay, Atari Age,or other gaming forums. The channel can be found here : http://www.youtube.com/user/atarian83 I hope you all will enjoy these videos and like usual it's a learning process for me. Feel free to subscribe, like, comment or share personal memories of the games featured. Also I'm learning as I go and sometimes make mistakes; feel free to drop a line with comments, suggestions or ideas. The more I can learn and share the more everyone benefits. Look forward to sharing amazing memories and gaming finds. Jason

Wish I had a copy. Bet it was a great night!!! You play with a regular joystick or a SEGA controller? I ask because I almost exclusively use the SEGA controller and it would be very ironic on an atari playing what is essentially Super Mario Bros.!!!

  10. Saw an atari 2600 with 28 games at the local flea market today for $10.00, I know what Ill be gaming on tonight.

  11. Someone offered these to me as a lot and make an offer if interested. Does anyone know anything about these from the board style and writing on the labels? Tempest I bet would know for sure. But I figure I'd ask here IMG]http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r221/atari83/A1045075-93D6-4887-8FCA-AE39699A4051-7413-00000FE82B766B73_zps2e421998.jpg[/img]
  12. Any chance can an Admin move this to the Prototype section , or should I repost there?
  13. The game works and looks like a complete regular version . When I opened it ( took the tape off I found this ) I assume since the game plays like the final copy its either a late stage proto or just a dealer reviewers copy. Has anyone dealt with these kinds of carts from Thorn EMI before?
  14. Bryan, in the add the cart pic was cut off and I couldnt read what it was all i could see was the blue label and the very top of the white . ( kinda looked like a game that had a 3.5 diskette label in the ad. ) It was the mystery cart in the lot.
  15. I picked up a small lot of carts off of craigslist late last week and really bought them for 1 cart and to flip the rest. But there was one cart I couldnt read ( still bought it anyway ). A8 collectors let me know if youve seen anything like this from Thorn Emi and if you have any more info on it. Im assuming its something like what Nintendo does with full games that just labeled Not for resale. Computer War by Thorn EMI (says on the top For Demonstration Purposes Only Not For Resale. Its missing the back screw and is a little heavier than the regular Thorn Emi carts ). Comparing it to the regular releases.
  16. I like the little 600xl. If u get a 400 I feel like its a cheap knock off of the 800. Just feels like something is missing with that design.
  17. Testing out the SNES that my friend sent me. Its been so long my dear old friend. Glad to be reunited.

  20. I couldnt find anything on ebay but what do you feel the fair market value is on the cartridge. "the pill" thanks
  21. In the final stage I know u need to bomb the 3 center objects. But also can you bomb the tall buildings to each side I thought I remembered doing so 20+ yrs ago but I'm not positive. Anyone try this or have done so lately
  22. Bought some games from him. Fast quick service. This guy has high standards for his items since he said the box i was getting was in rough shape but was still nicer than most anything you find on Ebay. Def would buy from again . Bri is A+ all the way.
