  1. I have 2 4.2 chips for diagnostic testing for the 2600 and have never gotten either to work is that the same idea as the 2m6 or do I need a special board to run them?
  2. Prototype boards are GCC boards
  3. I figure I wonder what it is and what it could be and since I won't be home for.a few weeks I thought why not share with the group and get a few other thoughts and minds joining me in wondering what it could be. Thought it would be fun and harmless.
  4. Thomas that makes logical sense. 21 more days or so we will have an answer
  5. Here are some extra pictures sent today. Looms like it had an end label at some time. Text looks more like MEMORDMA in the picture. Doesn't give me a strong lead.
  6. As I stated in the 2600 section picked this lot up with 3 controllers but doing research to figure out what the musical cart is. I probably should work on the no label intellivision title too.. but if anyone here has thoughts to the musical cart I'm all ears. Won't be home till end of august to test it and play it but would love to hear other thoughts on what it could be
  7. That's the road I'm working on first what common game with this cart style would be a music or musical game. Also it could be a replacement label or a label for some music camp ( I was thinking this morning) Im trying not to get my hopes up for anything too rare. It was a cheap that's kinda odd buy but not seeing too many possibilities. The filmokoma name gets me no search results on google. I mean does anyone see any other word top left than the spelling I have?
  8. Not at the moment. I won't be able to get a screen shot till I get home at the end o august. Cart is already in the mail to my fiance's house. There is also a no label intellivision cart too but that doesn't interest me too much.
  9. Here's a strange cart I just picked up online. Every now and then I pick up a game lot just cause one cart looks strange and the overall price was cheap enough not to break the bank but still leaves me with questions. So here's this month's I wonder what it is. The cart says musical in the middle and filmokoma musical at the top left. The seller doesn't remember what the title screen says for as company but it was some kinda music game. Basically I figured strawberry short cake musical game ( but the cart case sint parker bros) or grovers music maker cause that was an atari cart. Any who this needed up being a 3.00 what is it since the lot came with 9 carts ( 5 intv and 4 a2600 carts and 3 a2600 controllers). Figure I'd share the mystery with you all and see what ideas you all come up with. Are there any music games I'm missing for the 2600 that this could be? I'll be home at the end of the month to try it out be figure the more minds look at this and think about it maybe there's a good answer to what it might be .
  10. Last kick I've bought lately are as follows : Magnavox odyssey rifle cib with carts foam overlays warranty card A complete in box tomy tutor game system with 2 loose games and 1 cib title. A loose but working fm towns marty with sealed demo disc. (Can't wait forto get home and hook that up). I got a vectrex that needs a recap job but brightness and sound work fine. Just a tiny screen. I got a gamebike for the ps2. Some wierd adapter you put your bike on or something. I got a group lot of atari 2600 roms/ eproms and 2 atari 2600 prototype boards.. 1 is a 4k board and the other is an 8k Sara board. A group lot of a8 carts that will be going up for trade when I get home. And I think that's about it. My friend is sending me and my fiance a engagement gift that I'm told is gaming related. Ok I know what it is but I want the fiance to be surprised and sometimes she surfs here.
  11. That is right. Years ago I bid up a rubber chicken from a coin sites charity auction . Paid around 680.00 and was able to write off 620 . Reason being the chicken was a 5.00 item and the coin value was estimated at 55.00 in flatend out coins. Money went to a good cause. I got a tax writ off and my tax guy was like what the hell seeING in the write offs 1 rubber chicken.
  12. I picked one up cib shipped for 200 not long ago. Thing seems mint but finding games for it seems to be a lost cause.
  13. What emulators work best with this and what way is best to install them in the system. Just store everything on the memory card and run from that I assume
  14. I'd love to back em up and see what is on em. I love discover in what is yet to be found
  15. Last pickup for me was Duck hunt cib for the nes with the nintendo seal sticker on
  16. Good to hear your still around. Life happens but your still here and kickin. That is the most important thing. The bonus is you didn't need to let your games go.
  17. I say the atari bubble was around 2005 when it popped. Prices aren't what they were in the late 90s early 00s. I think mainly due to people collecting on remembering how it used to be. Some games are good for the 2600 5200 7800 but it lacks the big name titles with graphics to really draw in main stream gamers. Likewise the nes is different there are more franchise game titles zelda mario metroid kids not around during that time are greatly interested in the games. I think cause like in mario you can see a guy jumping on a mushroom jumping on a koopa or zelda swinging a sword. And for that reason I don't see a big bubble on nes games or even snes games . Now bigger titles with collectors those prices might go up or goes down and that's a collectors market more than a gamers market. Good nes games will remain popular and in demand. But bad games will go down. I think it's important to seperate the gamer price market from the collector market.
  18. Sweet system. I always loved the xegs . Someone will be very happy with your system im sure. I've had mine since 1987 and wouldn't trade it for the world
  19. Does anyone know what chip the systems encryption is located on and how to bipass it? Is it a quick chip removal or do I bend out one of the pins on a chip? Any help please. Thanks
  20. Looking currently for uncommon to rare atari 8 bit computer cart games and utility carts. Also looking for demostration and prototype carts. Currently I have a prototype pre release final legacy and last starfighter carts available for trade.
  21. How would you go about estimate a price on a. Nes pro arcade cabinet. I have the chance to get one in trade but trying to see if the 300 in trade is anywhere near a fair market value
  22. I know of one CIB but i know that price isnt going to be cheap on it. comes with 5 games CIB as well. if interested hit me up and ill pass you the lady's info. I bought mine from her earlier this year and works flawlessly.
  23. Ive remember years ago which got me looking and finding the picture I sent over. was a BASIC cart with a CXL4006 number. I would guess mock carts ( for as the casing is concerned ) would be a good a correct statement. The board and eprom chips and program has me thinking probably a close to finish version of the game from what we see. Maybe it was a finished version before the name change ( which also explains the difference in code from a finished Computer Chess ). Just a thought there. I still say this is a prototype and the label is most likely by Atari. Just like you said a mock label for a picture shoot. and they had a copy of the game made up most likely to be in the Atari 400 so they could power it on show a game in the shoot. Thats kinda where I sit on the subject. His is a CXL4003 mock, the picture shows a CXL4002 mock and I recall a BASIC with a CXL4006 mock. I guess Atari just did these things randomly when coming up with the mock part number for the labels.
  24. I have a 300+page list of every part number atari used from 1972 to 1984. Might be the same one here or maybe not. It's sitting in a pile with documents from that free lot that was listed a few months back waiting to be scanned. Alot of good info in that 300 page list including game titles that never was or renamed.in progress in 1984. Sadly no work in progress names for games that were later released I guess atari overrided the name. But plenty of good info . Let me know if my list sounds like what they are talking about
