Pac-Man Collection (ColecoVision) completed. Going beta test
kaz321123 replied to opcode's topic in Opcode Games
If you would like colecovision 'Pac-Man Collection' to be supported in Coinops/Vision please post your interest on this thread: Coinops Feature Requests: http://coinopsproject.freeforums.org/post33737.html#p33737 If enough people here post-I can tally up the interest-and pm Brittany about it. He says it would be an 'easy' fix to do-but questions how 'popular' this request is. So I'm coming here to show there is interest for it Thanks! -Kaz -

I will make the thread today It will be like a petition. The petition will basically be to change the default colecovision emulator to AdamX_v6b3 (which will enable the pac-man collection to work). -

I tried it on the msx emulator that is in vision (coinops), and it didn't launch People from this thread should go over to Coinops site-and request that this rom be supported! Um, please? Brittany told me that this fix would be easy (to switch emulators-or support another one). But then he said 'is this even in the top 50 wants? I already got him to help me change the atari 5200 emulator files in vision-because it wasn't launching -

I LOVE this rom-I play it often now on the Xbox with the special AdamX emulator. I still wish I could get it to work with Vision (my pac-man pack) which uses just your standard run of the mill colecovision emulator. Is there any way to somehow reformat this rom to play on standard colecovision emulators-preferably an xbox coleco emulator (or even msx)? -Kaz -
Put the support roms/bins into the same directory as Nostalgia.exe. DON'T put them into the roms folder! (I don't know why). This also is true for IVoice.bin and ecs.bin. (so if they are in the roms folder possibly from previous versions-pull them out and stick them in the directory with nostalgia.exe) This is what worked for me-hope it helps (this works in nostalgia version 5.0). Normal game roms can go in roms (ofc)

Ok-thanks to Jordiway-here is the correct xbox classic emulator (plus fix and rom) that will play pac-man collection: (AdamX_v6b3) (20.0 MB) Here's the link to download it: https://mega.co.nz/#!j5ZxXIDQ!UG6H_U5JVy-OHHvxu8a9wHzuwlgXqiWMzWXF682U5EQ On the xbox version-you must press in the analog stick-and choose * (star) to insert coins-and that's about it Pac-Man Collection is an incredible game (I bought it not long ago in fact)-I'm really looking forward to buying more colecovision games in the future from Opcode Games-especially someday "Donkey Kong" for the super game module. That's what I want for christmas-lol -KAZ -

The first link worked fine-the second link says 'you don't have permission'. Thanks *so much* for providing this adjusted emu! -

Ok-I got this rom to work great on the pc emulator 'bluemsxv282full' I also have an xbox emulator of bluemsx called 'bluemsxbox v6' but I don't see an option for choosing 'colecovision' like the pc version. Has anyone gotten this rom to work on any xbox emulators (perhaps on a bluemsx emulator on xbox). If so please pm me -
Quote: Princess Rescue has a "World continue" feature. After you beat the World 1 boss and go to World 2, when you die you can start on World 1-1, 1-2, 1-3, 1-4, or 2-1. I thought it was a really cool feature for a 2600 game when I found out about it! Of course when you power off, you can't select World 2 from a new game. Excellent! I guess I should've read that awesome manual that came with the game. I like in the manual how it expressly mentions using the genesis controller, which I definitely use. This game even got me into super mario brothers again-I played through the nes version for the fun of it too recently.

I bought a boxed version of this game so I could PLAY it. I intend to gently take it out of its box each time, play it-and return it to its box afterwards. I could've bought a loose cart of it-but I only just want to have fun with the game. Why do I want the box? Simply because it is cool and neat to have it. I could care less about its resale value, rofl... I can only make it to the boss on world 1-4. It would be awesome if the game had some sort of continue feature-or level select feature. You see I'm all about the GAME. If you sold it again with additional features like I mention above-I'd likely spend another 50 on it just to have an enhanced version of it I'm a gamer first. Being a collector is fun too-but that's pretty far down the list of priorities. Please keep on making awesome games Atari-age, I'll be there to buy them all-if I can!

I agree with this 100%. The amount of time and effort that went into this is amazing.

mmmmm instruction manuals....*drool*

That cheesy scene from ghost comes to mind...(Patrick Schwazee or something) Some steamy scene where there's a guy and a girl, but this time they are making an ATARI CART MOLD!
-
I would also like it if you could include a little 'cartridge obituary insert' which traces the history of the cartridge, and any encounters it might have had with various dogs or even cats. Did the cartridge have a good life? Preceded in death by...Atari heavy sixer and jolt cola. jk, jk...I'm just having some fun-or am I?
-
One of those carts is mine, how cool! They look like dominos-careful not to bump one-they will all topple Thanks for all the hard work on this-very fun to purchase. -Kaz

Tell that ship to hurry it up-bowser isn't gonna defeat himself! j/k j/k Its up to me, and it may be up to you! ...something something strategy guides, when the answer isn't inside and stuff. -megaman remix (oc)

If they released Final Fantasy 7 remake for Xbox one, I'll be the first in line. To bad that I wouldn't even really 'own' the game tho-but I would love to play ff7 on the newest game consoles. This dream of mine will NEVER happen-and I don't understand why they don't do it. I don't want to play Final Fantasy 19, I want ff7! It would be nice if they had authentic classic compilations on Xbox One, such as totally realistic immersive video arcades you could 'virtually' walk into and play loads of games, but then again this won't happen either-it is just too cool for them to do. And I don't mean the quality like you see on the wii or something, but a virtual arcade room that actually LOOKED realistic. If they released something like that-I'd buy it. In other words-I won't be buying an xbox one for about 8 years I'm thinking.

Back in my day *nasal voice*, my auto-mobile costed a quarter. Wippersnappers and yer darn video ETs. Now let me tell you something about the radio...
-
This is an incredibly nice start to this homebrew! I can't wait to see the final version! Wow I just noticed that sonic does stand and look impatient in your game. Awesome attention to detail! I just love it.
-
That would be trololol
-
I just ordered one-I hope I made it in time Looks like a very fun game

High calorie gaming! But low in fat!

Any word on the work in progress for this possible device? I'd buy it in a heartbeat if it was made available!

Or consider this: Leave the fireball as it is, and stick a hammer right after the first ladder you climb. Then you can immediately use the hammer against the fireball...with accompanying awesome sound effects I know that's not arcade realistic-but neither is scrolling. I think it could be made to be 'fun' while not being overly 'arcade perfect'. Love the game you made!
