  4. Rockman X came back from HSC retirement in a big way, tripling the next highest score on Advanced Commando and impressing children and small pets alike. Jedi Jeff was in danger of not placing for the first time in a long time, while the rest of the top 5 secured their positions in the standings. 6. Not 2 bad, but Sssnake isn't a 7800 game. CV
  7. 47,900 Heh... I wrenched my back trying to evade a shot with my body language. Taking a break now...lol Cousin Vinnie
  8. I think GT is pretty over rated, and with some of the good driving games coming out, it's getting pushed down the list. CV
  9. Spent about an hour today updating the 6 Point Standing Cups we have running along with correcting scores. If there is an error, please let me know. 10. Pretty decent turnout this week for this classic, and I didn't even get a chance to hook the Prosystem up... Jedi Jeff grabs his 10th win of the cup as Fire Tiger and RJ give a good chase. Fire Tiger moves up into 10th place and RJ is dangerously close to 4th, now. The High Score Club webpage is screwing up, and I need to redo the points on it. Give me a few days on that. Here is the addy: http://www.flipsiderunner.com/7800/highscore.html The results: 1) Jedi Jeff 172,420 2) Fire Tiger 167,840 3) RJ 150,260 4) BJK 112,060 5) Trip Cannon 71,110 6) Goochman 63,320 The Overall Standings: 1. Jedi Jeff 80 2. Trip Cannon 57 2. Cousin Vinnie 56 4. Rockman X 27 5. RJ 26 6. BJK 19 7. Goochman 14 8. NE146 13 9. Shannon 9 10. Devo 5 10. Fire Tiger 5 12. Atari Wizard 0 12. CShell 0 12. Apolloboy 0 Because of his 10th win, the 7800 High Score Club committee (ahem) is allowing Jedi Jeff to pick the next game. It is up to him to establish the stipulations and rules, with his only guideline being that it needs to be a game we have not played. (You can check the webpage for a ref.) As soon as he posts a game, we have until Wed. night a midnight to be beat it. Good lick... I mean luck! Cousin Vinnie
  11. My Cube froze today for the first time with NCAA 2005. This game has the longest loading times, and the only game I haver played for the GC with lag... but I still love it. Trying to get my Cornerback to win the Heisman is a blast. CV
  12. The celebration for the new Flashback unit saw only four members compete with this mediocre shooter, with the only person who enjoys this game walking away with the win. Thankfully, the club has found one of the two 7800 games Jedi Jeff does not own, so all competitiors were able to make up some ground on the Prosystem stud. After this week, Cousin Vinnie ties Trip Cannon for second and Goochman moves up into 7th place. 1) Cousin Vinnie 821,325 2) Trip 288,000 3) BJK 70,325 4) Goochman 33,450 Here are the Point Standings after 16 weeks: 1. Jedi Jeff 75 2. Trip Cannon 56 2. Cousin Vinnie 56 4. Rockman X 27 5. RJ 23 6. BJK 17 7. Goochman 14 8. NE146 13 9. Shannon 9 10. Devo 5 11. Fire Tiger 1 12. Atari Wizard 0 12. CShell 0 12. Apolloboy 0 Remember, you can keep up to date on all the cups and in depth game results on the HSC homepage: www.flipsiderunner.com/7800/highscore.html We are shifting gears, no we are not... we are staying in the same genre with the very good arcade port GALAGA. Here are the GALAGA rules: *** Standard difficulty *** Week ends Wedensday at Midnight *** The game scores points in the Overall and the Arcade Conversion Point Standings *** No standing before the ride comes to a complete hault Enjoy! Cousin Vinnie
  13. 821,325 Trip, I like this game, sorry... Cousin Vinnie
  14. HA HA HA! I quoted the wrong thing, had a bad day yesterday. I meant to say that Food Fight and Ballblazer were the only good games for the 7800 was a load of crap. Cousin Vinnie
  15. I wonder when the last time was that site was updated? How could you have a 7800 site w/o mention of the CuttleCart2? It was updated last week. CV
  16. That's a load of crap. Check this out, there is a bunch of 7800 info at this site: www.flipsiderunner.com/7800 CV
  17. In honor of the Flashback including this odd shooter into its list of cool games, Planet Smashers is the game for week 16. PLANET SMASHERS ***Standard difficulty ***Game ends next Wed, at midnight ***Game scores points in Overall standings and in Atari & Computer Classic Standings CROSSBOW RESULTS: In a light turnout, Jedi Jeff makes it two wins in a row after Cousin Vinnie's win was stripped away by the angry mobs last week. Jedi Jeff's win also has made the Shooting Game Cup a three way tie between Jedi Jeff, Cousin Vinnie, and RJ. 1) Jedi Jeff 2,320,500 2) Cousin Vinnie 1,705,000 3) RJ 1,163,000 4) Goochman 365,000 Overall Standings: 1. Jedi Jeff 75 2. Trip Cannon 52 3. Cousin Vinnie 51 4. Rockman X 27 5. RJ 23 6. BJK 14 7. NE146 13 8. Goochman 12 9. Shannon 9 10. Devo 5 11. Fire Tiger 1 12. Atari Wizard 0 12. CShell 0 12. Apolloboy 0 Have fun, ya'll! Cousin Vinnie
  18. Had an hour to squeeze one half hour of this game in today. More fun than I remember. Crossbow (the guy) may be onto something. 1,705,000 Cousin Vinnie
  19. The 5200 has some cool and unique homebrews. Cousin Vinnie
  20. I want this thread open here b/c it pertains to the 7800 aspects of the unit. CV
  21. This is why I'll probably buy it. If Atari makes some coin on this, they might release a bigger one with some 5200/ Jaguar/ Lynx/ XE/ 800 love included. CV
  22. I think this thing is as cool as heck, and it will bring some attention (albeit small) to the 7800 quality ports of Centipede and Food Fight. The thing that I keep thinking about is that this deck could have been so much cooler. Planet Smashers? What in the heck? I mean I like PS better than most people, but there were some other 7800 only games that they could have released that would have been over tha top. Why stop at 20 games? Couldn't they squeeze in 40 or so? Right now I can't justify the purchase of it... well... maybe I can. Cousin Vinnie
  23. Hey nerd asses, people are just excited. Just b/c the thing has been posted in other forums doesn't give you the right to be the spam nerd police. Chill the f*ck out, cool guys. Cousin Vinnie
  24. I ABUSE controllers, b/c I have the temperment of a 5 year old orphan, and I've had both my GC and PS2 controllers have broken b/c of it. The amazing thing is that I've never had a N64 controller bust on me and my friends, and they look the clumsiest of the bunch. Truth be told, the first person sticks do fine, its just the PS2 that is built like sh*t. Cousin Vinnie
