The last Spiker I saw went for nearly $1600, so I don't think $1500 is high. The Learning Funs went for almost $500 per game, in fact I think one went for OVER $500...

I guess patience truly is a virtue (plus it's less taxing on the wallet).

I think Cmart paid a little over $300 for it around a year ago. With the current price explosion, it would have pushed $4 to 5 hundred?

I been doing my best to prod him into releasing some games (right David?). I know it's a lot of work and he was trying to maybe not do a shell at all, let the buyer do that....I would STILL buy it, how about everyone else??

Now, i firmly believe there is a difference. I think the "scalpers" are the guys that resell them at very high prices on ebay like starting bid 150 or 180.
now sometimes i have sold homebrews, nut I always start them out at .01 or 1.00 with no reserve. Yeah, i made some money, but i also took the time and expense to buy them in the first place....most of the homebrews were easily available to most people. but for whatever reason they didnt or couldnt get them or were late to the game. For some people its a touchy subject for sure. Im sure people will sell Rocketeer for more than the 40 sticker price. Im buying more than one copy. but 2 will stay in my collection and i will use the others for trade or maybe sell. who knows. Everyone has the oppurtunity right now to purchase what they want, I dont think Groovy said there was a limit. He prob wants everyone to buy 2 or 3 copies!
Okay, I have tried to stay out of this "scalper" discussion and stay away from even getting involved and making people angry.....sooooo, (and this is NOT aimed at you Rev), I really want to throw in my 2 cents worth....even if some people may think it is 1 cent worth....
I have homebrews on eBay, I'm sure everyone here knows it, it's not like I am trying to hide that fact. No one knows my situation, why I would try to make money on a game, why judge other people? I love this hobby like all of you do...I bought an extra copy of each game, not to deny anyone a copy, how would I know who wanted one? So I sell the extra and use the money to be able to continue on with my hobby. In some respects I am making a game available to someone who for some reason didn't/couldn't, or simply didn't know about the release. EVERYONE who has bought a game from me has been happy. I didn't FORCE anyone to buy a game for me at any certain price...
Lord knows I paid mega bucks for a Spiker game that someone paid $20.00 for! Everyone has the ability to search the internet and get all the games available.....if you miss out, then you try to hunt down a game that you are willing to pay a certain price for, that simple...Have I made money? Yes, and I've also lost money AND paid too much for a game...oh well..I don't blame anyone but myself...
I am rambling, but only because it is my birthday and yes I may have had a couple drinks, lol. My point is, don't judge people on what they sell games for, much like life.... "and Jesus said, let the person who has not sinned cast the first stone"....
Be happy people and enjoy the Intellivision...

I have a CIB B-17: smudge on the front, small tear and the overlays are a little dimpled. $5 Atariage price, plus about $3 shipping to USA and in a box. The Box is sturdy.
Hi, not trying to sound ungrateful, but I am trying to upgrade to a box with no tears, so I have to pass, altho that is a VERY fair price! I appreciate you looking and letting me know!

No problem, this is definitely one of the easier repro boxes to distinguish, because it wasn't really made like the true original. Great addition to your collection!

My box is not open on the bottom, but the repro is that color, so I would have to assume your box is the real deal. The top flaps are black....like I said, with a "proof of purchase". I think you are fine...altho I wonder why this is opened on the bottom? Most I've seen are opened on the top...

We should do a joint box, overlay and manual for this game. Everyone take time, get some artwork, figure out a manual, then see what it would take to produce a box, just saying.......maybe it's not practical, but what the heck...

I just the rember the last one, which were not mint and ended at 500.Can anybody confirm me if it looks like a real box, or like a fake? Here is a picture of the upside flaps, but I dont know if the sign for a repro box is just on the bottom flaps:
The repro box has the marking on the bottom flap. I looke at my Congo Bongo and the top flaps are black, with one saying "proof of purchase"......Oh, also the repro box is shorter than the original, and opens and closes like a "normal" INTV box....unless there are repro boxes I am unaware of...

I agree on the Spiker price.....$1500 has been about standard for a nice condition one for a few years...LF's have ranged from $250-$500....and yes Ignorama, condition does matter, I was kinda going by a nice good shape collectable...
