      Agree with jaybird. Or, if you must watch, at least take notes and come up with an implausible but fun story, then parlay it into a sci-fi movie and multi-series TV franchise. It's been done before. Stranger things can happen.

    I've finally started making a simple Atari 7800 game.

      Just a simple shooter of sorts. Nothing very impressive. Won't hold a candle to Bob's stuff, naturally. But I've wanted to make something for over a year now, and RevEng's 7800basic puts this within even my humble reach.

    Lookingforward to playing Halloween themes games this month. Just ordered escape from monster manor for the 3DO, also going to fire up ZombieU finally. Maybe a little Eternal Darkness on the GC?

      Was going to mention Midnight Mutants. I started that myself at the beginning of the month. Maybe I'm a lightweight, but it's a tough game to me. (But a good one.)

    Just ordered the CV Flashback. I have a CV, but 4 broken controllers and only a few games. Don't want to start collecting for it again, so hopefully this will scratch the CV itch whenever I get it.

    Well, I just got confirmation from ToysRus that my Colecovision and Intellivision consoles have been shipped (I ordered from USA site, they import to CANADA) since ordering I had considered cancelling several times after hearing certain things like incompatible controllers etc but figured ah well they are the first Colecovision and Intellivision Flashbacks so I want them enough.

      I understood it to be the case that the D&D games are in the INTY Flashback under their pre-D&D names for licensing reasons. The games themselves, though, are the same. I think Keith Robinson said something to this effect on the Intellivisionaries.

      My method is simple: Find old games that appeal to my wife and kids. Buy them on that basis. They're gifts. Really. Heh.

      The 800XL is probably your best bet overall. If you need 128k out of the box and don't want to fuss with upgrades, though, you'll have to look at the 130XE. Mushy keyboard, but 128k, as I say.
