  1. I could do some testing and answer your question about the keypad functionality of Total Carnage later tonight if you want. I've never tested if you can combine the cardinal directions to create diagonals. There is a member who created a custom Total Carnage stick, perhaps he could provide his schematic. If I were at my home computer I could help find that stuff.
  2. Total Carnage does not have twin stick capability. It uses the keypad to fire in 8 directions. Llamatron utilizes the player-2 port to enable firing, for a true twin stick option. the only way to get Total Carnage to work as a twin stick is to wire a second joystick up to the 8 directions of the keypad, but that makes it a dedicated Total Carnage controller. Another member has done this. I would love one of your sticks, with a twin stick that plugged into port 2 so I could enjoy Llamatron. Count me in for a stick please, and I have donor controllers.
  3. LOL that looks insane! So if you control the 4 guns, I wonder what the control scheme was?
  4. I think Revenge of the Mutant Camels fits every requirement to be considered a horizontal shmup. So, grabbing Jeff Minter Classics from the AA store would be worth your while. And Lllamatron is no slouch either, as it's an even better game than Robotron if you ask me. Both games on a single cartridge, one of the best deals around. Shmups are probably my favorite genre as well. Unfortunately it's sadly under-represented on the system. I consider Tempest 2000 and Defender 2000 to be shmups, although non-traditional examples. They also happen to be 2 of my favorite games ever made. Most of my shmuppin these days is on the Saturn.
  5. Is the Japanese Burning Rangers friendly enough? It's a game that's almost $400 now for the US version. I've always wanted to play that game.
  6. I went on a little game-buying bender in the last month. -Baby Pac-Man (7800) -Culdcept (PS2) -8bitDO SNES controller wireless for SNES -Retrobit Genesis controller wireless for Genesis -The Outer Worlds (X1) Xmas gift -Civilization VI (X1) Xmas gift I'm really happy with the SNES controller! It's so exciting, and satisfying that as technology improves, that our old game systems can keep getting renewal in ways we dreamed of when we were young. Not only do I love the wireless feature, but it's nice to have a brand new controller, because after all these years those old controllers really do get wear and tear. The silicon pads inside get worn out and button presses just don't respond like they once did. I haven't had much time to do anything other than install the two X1 games, so no comments there yet. These are the last modern games I'm buying for the foreseeable future. Especially since new consoles are coming out next year. That will present itself with a whole new conundrum for me, with the question of whether I really want to buy another video game console again. Do I need ANOTHER one?? I'm leaning no, especially since I have a house now, and I need to spend my money on that. Hell, with the amount of time I have to do gaming has dwindled, I'm honestly thinking I'm set for a long time to enjoy my classics and the newest stuff I have now.
  7. Warriors of Fate II. Since it hasn't been mentioned yet. Solid Capcom beatemup, very refined. There's a ton of Japanese dialogue, but gameplay-wise you should have no problem figuring the game out.
  8. Got mine a few days ago, wow this is extremely tough. Quality product once again. edit: So, I wanted to add that I'm very happy with how the sound effects on the pinball machine turned out.
  9. The Wife got me The Outer Worlds and Civilization 6 for X1. Probably the last modern games I'm getting for awhile. Not into it as much, the classics just keep drawing me in.

  10. I'm taking donations for The Human Fund. Please be generous!

  11. No, it's not my only collecting focus, but the Jaguar is my most prized collection by far. I consider it complete, and any homebrews are just extras. It's my favorite game system of all time, so I've put more effort in to making this an impressive collection more than any other console. My LYNX collection is pretty good too, but not complete.
  12. I think Head Over Heels is in the book 1001 Video Game You Must Play Before You Die. Theres a hand full of these Spectrum computer games that look similar in that book.
  13. Amazon is recommending an anime to me I've never heard of: Space Adventure Cobra: The Movie (4K). It's from the early 1980's, and looks interesting. Chances of me liking it? I like Royal Space Force, Fire & Ice, Appleseed...

      x=usr(1536)

It's fun.  Dates from around 1983, IIRC, and definitely fits with the type of anime that was coming out at that time.  Not sure that it's one I'd spend money on owning, but if it's free on Prime give it a shot and see what you think.

That was turned into a Sega CD game!

  14. Just ordered a copy of this!
  15. I think the Jaguar would explode if forced to run SM64.
  16. My answer was very topical. Lack of interest by this user due to 1 very awful game, and lack of recognition on the other. Mate. Now, I know you will be very urged to respond once again, because of your over sensitive nature to games you have a hand in, but before you do, please consider humping somebody else's leg. Have a nice day.
  17. I have no interest in them. Impossamole was a terrible game on the TG-16, so not going to even entertain an 'upgrade'. I don't even know what the other game is.
  18. Got lucky today. My boiler went out, and the only repair was changing the thermocouple for the pilot. My boiler is around 70 years old, so I was freaking out earlier, not prepared to spend that kind of money for a new one!

  19. The Impossible Whopper only tastes like a real whopper because its saturated in beef grease from being cooked on the same grill

      Tickled_Pink

It's better than the real Whopper because you don't have to choke on it to be able to sue.

BK doesn't cook anything on a grill. Their stuff is steamed after being freeze-dried.
