    Day Off.  SNOW.  Still about a third of my driveway left to shovel.  OK, (been awake more than an hour) Takes swig of 3:12 PM "Morning" beverage...Coffee plus hot chocolate,  with just a little bit of bourbon, rum, brandy, amaretto and creme de cacao, and Coffee Mate (of course)...Any second cup that makes you cough, is a good drink...Gonna go shovel more soon...

    Played Crazy Taxi for the first time in a long, long time.  What a fun game.  I had kind of forgotten, having sold my DC collection 5-6 years ago.  Thanks Steam and Humble Bundle!

    Am i the only one who doesn't feel the Joust hype? So many reviewers and Atari fans seem to really like the game. Personally i think it's not bad but nothing to write home about either.

      It's a fools errand to try and convince someone to like a game. I think it's a really challenging physics based game, like a pinball machine or Artillery Duel, where you can play around and get interesting things to happen because of the gravity physics. Each version has a little bit different 'float' to it as well. Joust is really freaking hard too, that aspect helps a game stand the test of time and remain popular, people like a challenge.

    A roast is now in the $15 to $20 range.  I wonder if they are even selling any.  The shelf was fully stocked.

    I still think "Super Nintendo" is one of the dumbest names for a console. In Japan the NES was called the "Famicom". So, when the "Super Famicom" came out it made sense in my mind. Nintendo Super Famicom sounds pretty good. But here in the US. the prior console was the Nintendo Entertainment System (or NES). So we got the Super NES (Super Nintendo Entertainment System)...or what is known as the "Super Nintendo"...but it just sounds dumber than Super Famicom to me...dunno why.

      Old style calculators are great for me at work. I often have grease or ink on my hands. Otherwise I would ruin my smartphone screen.

    Okay, I geniunely had no idea the NES Tetris didn't have the Tetris theme until now, and I have to say I'm not a huge fan of the music that comes with it. I'm depressed now.

    106 degrees F today with no A/C. Brutal. It's close to 90 in the house. Rolling blackouts across the state. Lovely. (Not in my area yet, just AC broke last night) Do any other states do rolling blackouts?

    I'm happy to see fast food places reducing the amount of items available, even if it's items I happen to buy. The whole industry has had overly bloated menus for too long.

      What has annoyed me for a long while, is each restaurant chain trying to diversify so much, that they all end up offering everything. Arby's has been the worst offender, I mean, why does Arby's need a pizza slider? Get back to focusing on Roast Beef! Reduce the menu, I hate pulling up to the drive through and telling the clerk that I need a few minutes to view the menu. There should be few choices to streamline the drive-thru FAST FOOD experience. Wendy's, you too, shape up!

      I gave up pro-sports spectating after the Cubs won the WS, so about 4 years now. It had nothing to do with politics either, I just finally realized how meaningless to my life it all is. I figured I would actually spend that time playing video games, or even doing housework, something personally fulfilling.
