  1. I just had a hose bust on my washing machine a couple of weeks ago. Luckily I was home and caught it after, I'm guessing 10-15 minutes. The washing machine is ground level, but I keep most of my systems in the basement/den. Well, water was starting to pour through the air ducts down in the basement. Had a small waterfall going... somehow luckily right above our cat's litter box. While I was busy putting towels on everything, trying to catch all the water... I see my wife unhooking my 800XL. She tells me not to flip out. My eyes got huge! And she said there was a small amount of water on it, but it was saved by the vinyl dust cover! Woohoo! I owe thanks to Brad at Best for that. Somehow, nothing got damaged, other than some printed manuals for my Atarimax stuff. Quite amazing.
  2. Same here as everyone else who's ordered from Atarimax. Steven's a top notch dude. As long as the order actually went through and you can see it in your PayPal overview, I don't think there's any concern for alarm. I've had orders take a month to ship and some that arrive a couple days from placing the order. He's probably just busy kicking ass.
  3. This is looking great! I really like the new black BG, but also the option to revert back! Very interested in this. I'm gonna wait to play it on my 7800 though. Thanks for making what looks like an awesome game for the 7800. Woohoo!
  4. Atarimania has a Top 25 list based on votes here: http://www.atarimania.com/pgemainsoft.awp?type=G&system=8 Oops, I see Philsan already linked that above.
  5. I'd love to see this finished as well. I've been interested since seeing an ad for it in one of my AA inserts. Pretty please!
  6. http://www.atari2600.com Not sure if they charge too much though...

Astronomy is always amazing. Still have my telescope after all these years.

Awesome, thanks for posting this link!

  7. Looking forward to this. Thanks for keeping with it Curt.
  8. Nice! It's a great time to be snatching up CRT's. I recently gave a friend an old LCD I wasn't using and a day or two later he was showing it off and mentioned how he still had his old Commodore monitors. I was like... what?! I've known this guy for 10 years and had no idea. Turns out he had a Commodore 1702 & 1084S monitor in his basement the whole time I've known him. He kindly gave them to me and guess what my 800XL is cranked on now. I've wanted a 1702 for around 20 years. Pretty cool.
  9. This sucks. Unfortunate situation you guys had to deal with, but at least you got your money back. I ordered my 780O power supply from Best Electronics. $15, just keep in mind the $20 minimum + Shipping. I think I added Galaga for $10 and my order total was around $32. It's an option.
  10. Just positive feeback here. Item arrived as described, quick and easy. Thanks
  11. Very happy for you and your family Paul. Like Tempest said, it's nice hearing some good news for a change. It's wonderful you all are overcoming this together. Thanks for sharing. - Cent P.S. Her artwork is amazing!
  12. Wow, this is neat. Watching daily prison camp routines right now. Hehe. Running on a stock 800XL via Atarimax Maxflash cart. I've never known about this game until now, so thank you for doing all of this.
  13. Everytime I place an order with BE, I write down all the items I am interested in, note item numbers and prices, then call Brad. While I'm going down my list with him, I politely ask him to let me know if any of the items aren't in stock or are a different price than I have noted. It's always been very smooth handling the order this way and he's always been super fast to send it out for me. Like one of the posters above, he has swayed me a couple of times from buying items from him, if he thinks it's just going to cause me grief. I like this about him personally and we usually chat about Atari a few minutes as well. This has always been my experience with Best. For what it's worth. It's also courteous to have your customer ID handy, if you've previously ordered from them.
  14. Recently found out a good friend of mine has had a Commodore 1702 monitor right under my nose for 10+ years. I had no idea! He said he'd give it to me. Stoked!

No doubt! Looks like a 1084S will be getting a good home as well. :)

  15. Not sure if this fits your criteria either, but Six-Gun Shootout by SSI was released for the A8.
  16. The SIO2USB from Lotharek works great with AspeQt. You'll love it!
  17. My 7800 cover is awesome! Fits nice and snug and looks great. If anyone is in need of a nice dust cover, these are the folks to buy from. Received my cover a few days after paying.
  18. I think a 2600 RPG is an awesome idea! Dungeon and Dragonstomper are cool, but 2600 has really missed out. Would be a great chance to give the Video Touchpad a job. Could be handy for inventory management, menus, spells, etc.
  19. I have one hanging above my workbench. Got mine from Best Electronics.
  20. I really only challenge myself, but so far my HS on Frenzy 1P is 11,269. I average 5-7k usually. Was just in the zone this night. Awesome game!
