Its a bottle, I'm sorry for choosing the wrong the term. I'm not a programmer, just ran it through Wine Bottler. Sorry for the confusion.
-
Cool. Nice work!
-
I'm sure someone else has bottled this already, but if not here is an Altirra 3.0 Wine port for macOS. Note that it is the 32-bit version and you might get a notification about 32 bit apps if you are on High Sierra. Let me know if you have any issues as I only did a very quick test. -Pete https://www.dropbox.com/s/jzwwe2azar0ptfw/altirra.zip?dl=0

I got it at Inertial Computing : http://store.inertialcomputing.com/SCSI2SD-p/scsi2sd-v5b.htm
-
Nope, but can be enabled. SCSI2SD supports up to 4 different SCSI ID's, each using a different section of the SD card. "Enable Parity" refers to checking SCSI bus parity on incoming requests. For best results, set this to match your equipment. With equipment that supports SCSI bus parity generation, enabling this provides better noise/error detection and helps detect bad termination or cabling.

The SCSI drive in my SupraDrive has become quite finicky so I figured I'd try a SCSI2SD as a replacement. Everything seems to work out just fine. Plenty of drive space and fairly quick on the 1040ST to boot. Here are some pictures.

I'd like to order one as well Saint. Thanks! -Pete

Writing a PLATO terminal for IRATA.ONLINE for STs
Fletch replied to tschak909's topic in Atari ST/TT/Falcon Programming
Thom, There is also NetUSBee ethernet https://lotharek.pl/productdetail.php?id=46 coupled with the Sting IP stack http://hardware.atari.org/manuals/netsting.htm This is the solution I use on my Atari Falcon and TT030. -Pete -
WOW! One of my all time favorites on the ST. I look forward to the trying it on the 8-bit. Thanks so much!

It rained all day yesterday so I was bored and figured I'd have the SuperCharger play Battle Chess against the Spectre GCR.
-
I recently acquired a SuperCharger from DarkLord and after quite a bit of tinkering, it seems to be working fairly well with my TT030. Initially the unit only seemed to work for a few minutes before locking up. Also, whenever I tried to load any programs that used CGA graphics it would freeze immediately. I took the unit apart and have reseated all of the socket chips a couple of times and now it seems much more stable. Under normal DOS activity it has not locked up at all now. Running CGA games still seems to lock up the SuperCharger occasionally, but it is certainly usable now. I installed DOS 4 on an external SCSI and it boots surprisingly quickly. Very neat product. -Pete

Want to buy Atari ST (Mega): Advice needed
Fletch replied to TonVH's topic in Atari ST/TT/Falcon Computers
I would get a 1040STe if you are looking to get an ST. The Mega has a nice case but other than a seldom used internal expansion slot, it offers little else as an advantage. The 1040STe uses normal 30 pin SIMMs so ram upgrades are simple. As for networking, you can get a Netusbee http://www.lotharek.pl/product.php?pid=192 -

I looked. I have the disk, but could not locate the manual. If it turns up I'll share it. -
Can the STE's PCM sound chip play Amiga modules?
Fletch replied to Foebane's topic in Atari ST/TT/Falcon Computers
These kind of discussions are always bizarre to me. The ST was designed as a general purpose computer and the Amiga as a multimedia machine. It is no surprise that the machine designed with graphics and sound as the main focus would be better at graphics and sound than the machine that was not. If graphics and sound are your focus, then the Amiga is your machine. Enjoy it. -
Any standard PC power cord will work. You can download Dungeon Master here : http://atari.8bitchip.info/SCRSH/dmrd.html

Just fired this up and it is awesome! I immediately connected to my MacPro and could surf the web with Links and played Zork with Frotz. Great speed and so easy to use. Thanks for this! -Pete

You seemed so excited to have it set up and used as a daily driver last week. I'm sorry to see things have changed so drastically. I already have a TT or I would be interested as you have a nice set up. Best of luck. -Pete -
I've been using one for a few months now. Awesome product. Paul was at Atari Party this weekend too!

ATARI party, NYC area, looking for participants.
Fletch replied to Joe Stella's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
I have a MidiMate as well. I've had up to 5 machines hooked up. We can see how many we can get reliably going. -
