ATARI party, NYC area, looking for participants.
Fletch replied to Joe Stella's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
And I will be there! I'm planning on bringing a bunch of ST / Falcon stuff. MIDI Maze anyone? I'm also lugging along the Jaguar and a couple of Lynxes. -Pete -
Chris, I have a 520STFM with a flaky motherboard that I was going to replace with a new one from Best. Maybe I'll just hold out a while longer Sounds like a great project!

Best Electronics or B&C should have the case.

Atari ST/STE Low Res VGA Cable from coolnovelties.co.uk

Here is an article I found about it: https://translate.google.com/translate?sl=de&tl=en&js=y&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.stcarchiv.de%2Fstm1992%2F06%2Fodin&edit-text= -
Atari ST/STE Low Res VGA Cable from coolnovelties.co.uk
Fletch replied to cjameslv's topic in Atari ST/TT/Falcon Computers
I used the internet archive payback machine and google translate and got this: The ODIN (Optical Device Interface) graphics card from Marvin AG was simply switched between the Atari ST / Mega ST (also STE) computer and the required VGA monitor. In addition to the well-known ST resolutions, 320x480 256 colors and 640x480 16 colors were also available. In subsequent driver versions, other resolutions should follow. The graphic card did not have its own graphics chip, but received the image data in succession in up to 5 "pseudo-images" which were reassembled into an image in the ODIN graphics card with the help of a (then new) IC of the company Xilinx and output to the monitor. The whole thing was relatively slow in contrast to graphics cards with their own graphics chip. The ODIN hardware was available as a kit and as a ready-made device. The latter cost about 399 DM at the beginning of 1992. The technical data: Frequency of 31.5 kHz horizontal / 60 or 70 Hz vertical -256 kB Video RAM as image memory -Xilinx Runtime Reprogrammable Gatearray as Controller -256 colors simultaneously from a pallet of 262144 -13 Italien. ST monitor connection as input -15 pol. VGA connector RGB analog output -40 pol. expansion bus - Power supply: DC 9-12 V, 500 mA, ground outside Dimensions: 130 x 60 x 30 mm (length x width x height) -
ATARI 520ST early model value....
Fletch replied to davide giuffrida's topic in Atari ST/TT/Falcon Computers
$75-$125 I'd say. Less if you are in the UK or Europe. -
I took the Team Tap apart and cleaned the PCB with alcohol. I then hooked it back up and everything worked. Not sure for how long, but at least I know it is the Team Tap and not the Jaguar that was or is the problem. Thanks for the advice fellows. -Pete

Not according to the manual. I tried your suggestion though with no luck. I think my Team Tap might be faulty.

I broke out NBA Jam & Team Tap last night and tried to get a 4 player game going. Put a single JagPad in port 1 and the team tap in port 2. The Team Tap has JagPads in ports A,B,&C. When I start a game or go into the options screen only players 1 and 3 are usable. Am I missing something, or is it likely my Team Tap is faulty? I don't have any other Team Tap games to test it with. Thanks! -Pete

VT 100 Terminal Emulator Cartridge for ST
Fletch replied to Rick Dangerous's topic in Atari ST/TT/Falcon Computers
I recently purchased one of these from B&C. It has a awkward setup interface and I cannot get it work reliably above 4800 baud. Interesting as a collectable maybe, but as other have mentioned, there are better terminal emulators available. -
No need, someone has already done it! http://data.atariwiki.org/DATA/APX_Hydraulic_Program.pdf

I see I've been bumped from a decade gone by. I'll do my best to find this again. I know its in the basement someplace.

Looks like it sold for $810. Relatively cheap for Falcon standards these days.

Any Falcon is a sweet Falcon. Lets see how high this one goes.

What caused you to change (Atari/non-Atari) platforms?
Fletch replied to Xebec's topic in Atari ST/TT/Falcon Computers
I was all Atari from the 400 through the Falcon. I was pretty much lost as to what to do next computing wise after Atari exited the scene. My fiancé (now my wife for almost 20 years) was a teacher at the time and used Macs at school. We bought a Performa 6320CD together in 1995. I've been in the Apple ecosphere ever since. I sold off my Falcon when my wife was on maternity leave, along with my Jaguar. We needed the money. I've since reacquired both. -
Sorry it took me a couple of days, but I found it. imgscan.zip

Lonnie, I have an IMG Scan. Pretty sure the software is still in the box with the unit. I'll image it if it truly is still there. Confidence is high. -Pete
